Seungmin had been harboring feelings for you, and when I say “a lot,” I mean his feelings were overflowing. With each jump scare and tense moment, you snuggled closer, and Seungmin, overwhelmed by your proximity, could hardly think straight. His heart raced, and every time you glanced at him, he felt like he was on the verge of a meltdown. When you shifted even closer, your faces inches apart, Seungmin’s resolve finally gave way. Driven by his overwhelming feelings and the closeness, he leaned in and kissed you in a sloppy kiss. The kiss was a bit clumsy and hurried, fueled more by his nervous energy than finesse.

Even though you didn’t reciprocate the kiss, Seungmin kept going, his desperation to express his feelings overtaking his sense of timing. When he finally pulled back, his eyes were filled with hope and apprehension. He noticed your grimace and instantly felt a wave of shame and sadness.

“I’m so sorry,” he said quickly, his face turning a deep red. “I didn’t mean to—”

He trailed off, puzzled by the look on your face. What Seungmin didn’t know was that your grimace had nothing to do with his kiss itself but rather the taste of buttery popcorn lingering on his lips.
