When you try to lift the edge of the paper, it feels strangely warm, almost alive. As you carefully peel it back, you notice handwriting on the back that wasn't visible before:

"THEY'RE NOT ALL LIES BUT MOST ARE LEVEL 2 IS SAFE BUT NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT THE YELLOW HOUSE DOOR ONLY OPENS AT NIGHTFALL EVEN HERE THERE ARE THOSE WHO WANT WHAT YOU HAVE RUNNING GETS YOU NOWHERE

• Anonymous"

The paper suddenly slips from your fingers and is caught by a gust of wind, fluttering away into the snowstorm. You can see it landing near the feet of one of the shadowy figures at the forest's edge. They seem to notice it, though you can't see them pick it up.

You hear a soft whisper echo from the direction of the shadow, though the words are incomprehensible - like hearing language from very far away.

Looking back at the notice board, you realize there was another paper partially hidden beneath the one you just examined. This one is much newer, the ink still wet:

"TO LEVEL 2: FOLLOW THE YELLOW HOUSE TO SURVIVE LEVEL -1: DON'T GO BEYOND THE TREE LINE WARNING: THE DOORS CHOOSE WHAT THEY WANT"

You now have several options ahead of you in this strange village:

• Investigate the yellow house more thoroughly
• Enter the shop
• Return to the main street and explore more of the village
• Head toward the forest's edge despite the warning
