My Hero Academia (Japanese: Boku no Hero Academia) is a popular superhero anime and manga set in a world where most people have superpowers called Quirks. At the center is Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without a Quirk in a society that practically revolves around them. Despite that, he dreams of becoming a hero like the legendary All Might, the symbol of peace. After a fateful encounter, Midoriya inherits All Might’s powerful ability, One For All, and enrolls in U.A. High School, a prestigious academy for training future heroes. The story follows Midoriya and his classmates—like Katsuki Bakugo (his explosive childhood rival) and Shoto Todoroki (a student with both fire and ice powers)—as they learn to use their abilities, face dangerous villains, and figure out what it truly means to be a hero. A major threat comes from villains like Tomura Shigaraki, whose goal is to destroy hero society. Over time, the series shifts from school adventures to larger, darker conflicts about power, responsibility, and the cost of heroism. High School is the top hero academy in Japan within My Hero Academia. It’s where the most promising students train to become licensed Pro Heroes. What U.A. is like U.A. is less like a normal school and more like a high-security training facility. The campus is विशाल and packed with specialized areas: Massive training zones (like “cities” built for combat practice) High-tech classrooms and support labs Dormitories for students to live on campus (added for safety) After villain attacks, the school upgrades into a fortress-like structure with advanced defenses and evacuation systems. How students get in Admission is extremely competitive. Most students enter by passing: A practical entrance exam (fighting robots, rescuing others) Or recommendations (for elite students) Only a small number make it into the Hero Course, like Class 1-A. Course system U.A. has multiple tracks: Hero Course – future Pro Heroes (like Class 1-A) Support Course – builds hero gear General Studies – standard academics Business Course – hero-related marketing and management Students can sometimes transfer into the Hero Course if they prove themselves. What they study Hero students don’t just fight—they train in multiple areas: Combat training (using Quirks effectively) Rescue operations (saving civilians) Strategy and teamwork Regular academics (math, history, etc.) Teachers are actual Pro Heroes, like Shota Aizawa (homeroom teacher of Class 1-A), who train students in real-world conditions. Work studies & internships As students improve, they gain real experience: Internships with Pro Heroes Work studies (longer, more serious placements) This is where they start operating in real missions under supervision. School events U.A. hosts major events that test students and attract public attention: U.A. Sports Festival – a huge televised competition Training camps and exams Provisional License Exam (to legally use Quirks in public) Goal of U.A. The ultimate aim is to produce heroes who are not just powerful, but: Responsible Ethical Capable of protecting society under pressure In short, U.A. is where raw talent gets shaped into professional heroes through intense training, real danger, and constant growth. You grew up in the same neighborhood as Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya, the three of you funneled through the same schools year after year. Back then, things were… uneven. Bakugo had already developed his explosive quirk and the ego to match, while Midoriya admired heroes from the sidelines, quirkless but determined. And you? You were stuck in that same category—another “late bloomer,” as your family insisted, though by middle school even that phrase started to sound like a flimsy excuse.
Bakugo didn’t care about excuses. To him, you and Midoriya were just easy targets—reminders of what he wasn’t. He’d throw insults without a second thought, picking at anything he could: your lack of a quirk, your hesitation, even your appearance. It got under your skin more than you ever let on.
His nicknames were harsh. fat ass. Hippo. butterball. the list goes on.
Midoriya would sometimes try to step in, but he could barely defend himself, let alone you. So you endured it, quietly holding onto the one thing your family always told you: it’ll come eventually.
And somehow… it did.
That summer changed everything.
Your quirk didn’t just appear—it arrived, all at once and undeniable. Then came the training, the discipline, the realization that you weren’t behind anymore—you had just been waiting at the starting line longer than everyone else. By the time entrance exams for U.A. High School came around, you were ready.
Almost.
You passed—but barely missed placement. Twenty students per class, and you landed at twenty-one. Close enough to taste it, but still outside the gates. It stung, but this time, you didn’t let it define you. You trained harder, refined your abilities, and somewhere along the way… you changed. Not just your quirk, but your confidence, your presence—everything. By the time months had passed, you were almost unrecognizable from the person Bakugo used to mock.
Then fate intervened.
When Minoru Mineta was expelled from Class 1-A for his behavior, a spot finally opened up—and your name was next on the list.
—
The classroom buzzed with low chatter until the door slid open.
At the front stood Shota Aizawa, looking as tired and unbothered as ever. He glanced over his students, already half-laying in his capture weapon like this was a mild inconvenience rather than an announcement.
Aizawa: “Ahem,” he said flatly. “Listen up. We’ve got a new student joining Class 1-A.”
The room quieted, curiosity immediately sparking.
Aizawa let out a small sigh before gesturing lazily toward the door.
Aizawa: “Come in.”
The door opened.
You stepped inside.
For a moment, nobody said anything. Eyes scanned you—your posture, your presence, the confidence you carried so naturally now. A few students exchanged glances. Even Midoriya blinked in confusion, trying to place something familiar he couldn’t quite grasp.
Bakugo frowned outright, irritation flickering across his face.
Bakugo: “Tch… who the hell is this extra?”
Aizawa didn’t react.
Aizawa: “Introduce yourself.”
You took a step forward, meeting the room head-on. No hesitation. No shrinking.
Then you said your name.
Silence.
Midoriya’s eyes widened first, recognition hitting him like a jolt.
Midoriya: “W-Wait… that’s—?!”
Bakugo’s expression shifted next—not confusion, but disbelief, like his brain rejected the idea entirely.
Bakugo: “…No way,” he muttered.
Because the person standing in front of them now—the confident, capable student who had just walked into U.A.—looked nothing like the one they remembered.
And yet… it was you.
