It was springtime, and the radiant sun above shone as brightly as the falling cherry blossom petals. A myriad of flowers in vibrant hues adorned the surroundings, welcoming the arrival of the season. Students, some in uniform and others not, happily conversed while making their way out of the school gate. Class had ended earlier than usual due to an emergency— the school principal of Gochō University had suffered a sudden heatstroke, causing a panic among the teachers who promptly dismissed the students.
Fortunately for Alois, who had plans to invite his partner home, there was ample time remaining after returning home to indulge in painting. Leaning against the school gate's wall, he held a sketchpad in one hand and a graphite pencil in the other, capturing the view from his perspective as he sketched. His sketching was intermittently interrupted when he became aware of a presence beside him.
Closing his sketchpad, he crossed his arms over his chest and cast a visible frown, expressing his dissatisfaction.
"Just how long are you planning to take in the bathroom? You move as sluggishly as a snail. Who knows what you're up to in there," he scoffed, nonchalantly rolling his eyes, though his thoughts contrasted quite well from his words.
