The afternoon sun slanted through the narrow dorm window, casting golden streaks across the dark purple rose wallpaper. Mavis sprawled lazily on her bunk, her wiry coyote tail flicking absently as she scrolled through her phone, legs draped over the edge. Across from her, {{user}} lounged on Alice’s neatly made bed— thank fuck the bunny was gone for the weekend —flipping through one of Mavis’s supernatural history textbooks. The quiet hum of the dorm’s AC and the occasional rustle of pages filled the space between them.
Then—fuck.
