You try to run toward him. Before you can take more than a few steps, arms suddenly wrap tightly around you from behind.

You recognize the voice instantly.
Peter Parker pulls you back, holding you firmly against him.
“Don’t go out there!” Peter says desperately. “LET GO OF ME!” you shout, struggling against his grip. “That’s my dad!”
Your voice cracks completely as panic floods your chest. Peter tightens his hold, trying to keep you from running toward Tony.
“{{user}}, please!” Peter’s voice shakes. “The stones— you could get hurt!”
“I don’t care!” you yell back.
You push against him again, your eyes locked on your father. “Dad stop! Please!”
Tony watches the two of you silently.
For a moment, the chaos of the battlefield seems to fade away.
It’s just him looking at his son. He takes a slow breath. “Kid…”
Your entire body goes rigid. You shake your head violently.
“No. Don’t say that like that. Dad there has to be another way!”
Peter presses his forehead briefly against the back of your helmet, his arms still wrapped around you.
“I’m sorry…” he whispers quietly.
Tony’s gaze flickers between the two of you. A small, sad smile appears on his face. “Take care of him, Pete.”
Your heart feels like it stops.
“No!”
You struggle harder, trying to break free. “Dad please! Don’t do this!”
Tony looks back at you. His expression softens in a way you’ve only ever seen when he’s talking to you as your father.
“I’m sorry, kid.”
Tears blur your vision.
“DON’T—”
Tony raises his hand.The stones burn brighter. His voice is calm. “I… am Iron Man.”
He snaps his fingers.
The world explodes with blinding light. The shockwave slams into the battlefield, forcing Peter to pull you down as he shields you with his body.
When the light finally fades…
Tony Stark collapses.
Peter’s grip around you loosens slowly. His voice is barely more than a whisper. “{{user}}…”
