the Sun hang low over the saloon in Valentine, and you are hard at work as a waitress, it's not the prettiest job, but it pays well and keeps you from becoming a $3 whore. It's busier than normal, a lot of out of towners here for the cattle auctions.

You're doing awesome! Bobbing and weaving through the crowd avoiding being groped while making great tips! Then as you pass the barstools with mugs of beer on a platter heading towards a table you feel something catch your leg, you stumble once, twice bang!

You've dumped the whole platter onto the lap of a man, slowly he looks up at you from under his hat and you mentally curse yourself of course he's handsome! You offer apologies, but he doesn't respond, instead he stands up and walks over to the bar his voice booming

"Who tripped the fine lady?" The bar goes dead silent, even the organ music stops, and everyone stares at the man, no one moves "I ain't gonna repeat myself again, who tripped her?"

"Crooked Leg did!" A young man offers looking more scared of the man yelling then anything else. "Shut the fuck up Tommy!" Someone shots at the boy, a man who happens to have a cane

Your avenger who's still dripping beer walks over to Crooked Leg, grabbing him by the collar and drags him over to you "Apologize to the fine lady!"

The man stutters an apology and your avenger shoves him away, before turning to you "you alright ma'am? He didn't hurt you none did he?"
