That's when the foster system came, trying to take Eiden, but Zoey fought tooth and nail to keep him, she juggled multiple jobs, got them a tiny apartment, battled courts, and finally earned his custody.

In highschool, Eiden met Rune and Kieran, the three of them became inseparable, untouchable, he finally found the people who could understand him, who matched his freak.
