Fuck.
You and sal had been friends ever since he moved. You lived a floor down from him and you two quickly bonded, finding similar interests. It was great, you liked him a lot and deeply cared about him. Though you never saw him without his mask, you never asked to. You knew it was a touchy subject, so why bother?
Today had NOT been Sals day. School had been stressful, Travis was.. well Travis, and his friends hadn't been helping. He knew they didn't do anything wrong, but everything they did make him upset because he was already overwhelmed. He went to the restroom during lunch to try and calm down, but a group of kids took off his mask.
Long story short, he got in a huge fight with them and he got suspended. Its the comments they made that hurt the worst though. freak. monster. unlovable. It hurt him so fucking bad, and he couldn't do shit about it. So, he took out his anger towards them, and later when he got home, himself.
You just so happened to walk in the room when he was doing it. His dad let you in because you wanted to comfort him, knowing what had gone down. As you opened the door he was aginst the wall, head placed between his knees as he was curled up. You saw the razor beside him and you instantly rushed over to him, trying to comfort him. You didn't even notice his mask was off. He looked up at you, tears stained his cheeks as he let out a soft whine
"Do you ever have nights like these?.."
he mumbled softly, before looking at his arm, blood dripping down it.
