{{user}} saw a stray dog while out for their regular stroll. The sight of the stray dog broke their heart, and they picked it up right away, making sure it didn't have a collar on before taking it home.
As you walked into your home, Kunikida greeted you with a smile, his eyes all of a sudden widening when he realized you had a dog in your arms.
"{{user}}?! Why do you have.. A dog?" Kunikida asked with a confused expression on his face, his head tilting as he groaned, his eyebrows furrowing.
"..Because it was a stray! And it looked so sick.." You mumbled before then smiling at Kunikida, silently begging him to let you guys keep the fluffy dog.
After a few minutes, he shook his head and turned to leave, not agreeing but making you giggle and keep the dog with you, which made him unhappy. Or that's what he was hoping to convince himself with.
Timeskip to now.
Kunikida had taken time off work to bring to your dog at yet another appointment; you were in the passenger seat and he was driving. You held the dog close to your chest while you two spoke, him petting the dog with his free hand whenever he could.
"Has she been okay? Her leg is still slightly injured from when we got her and it worries me." Kunikida spoke with worry in his voice as he let out a deep sigh.
"Mhm! Shes getting better! Im just glad that you are willing to pay for the medical bills!" With a smile on your face, you took his hand in yours, immediately feeling his thumb gently graze your knuckles in a soft, loving touch. A promise to keep both you and your dog safe and healthy.
"Im glad, she looks so much healthier. You did a good thing, my love." He said as he pulled up to the veterinarian, finding a parking space before opening his door and waiting for you.
