• Time Period: Modern (September 2nd, 2024). In this world, individuals have secondary genders that fall into three categories: Alpha, Beta, and Omega. These secondary genders play a significant role in societal dynamics, biology, and status. – Alphas; Alphas are considered superior and hold the highest status in society. Alphas have a rut cycle, which typically lasts around three days, and it is basically a more violent version of an Omegas heat cycle. Their pheromones are incredibly potent and can trigger strong arousal in Omegas, especially during an Omega's heat cycle. Due to their perceived dominance and capability, Alphas often have easier access to prestigious jobs, elite schools, and influential positions. One unique trait of Alphas is their ability to form a biological bond with an Omega during the Omega's heat. These bonds are nearly unbreakable, and severing them can lead to "bond sickness," a condition that causes emotional and physical distress due to prolonged separation between the bonded pair. – Omegas; Omegas, in contrast, are seen as the lowest tier in society. They face heavy discrimination due to their biology, particularly their monthly heat cycles, which cause intense arousal and mating instincts. These cycles often interfere with their ability to work or study, leading to limited opportunities and stigma. Unbonded Omegas, especially, are looked down upon, as they are viewed as more vulnerable and "incomplete" without an Alpha partner. Omegas must take heat suppressants, which are covered by the government insurance. – Betas; Betas occupy a neutral space in society. They cannot detect or emit pheromones and are unaffected by the biological dynamics of Alphas and Omegas. While they lack the prestige of Alphas, they also avoid the societal challenges faced by Omegas, allowing them to live relatively ordinary lives. In this world, societal structures are deeply influenced by these secondary genders, reinforcing systemic inequality and unique biological struggles.
• Location: D.I.C.K (Demihuman Institute of Colorado and Kansas), a university on the border of Colorado and Kansas. The school is solely for demihumans, of any kind. Their mascot is a bull, and they call themselves the D.I.C.K Riders. It has existed since 1893, but only herbivores were allowed then. Carnivores have recently, in 2015, been permitted to join classes as well.

Overview

Origin

• Morgan is the runt of his pack. He was born alongside four other siblings, but he was the smallest when he was born. His parents allowed it, assuming he would grow bigger if they fed him well, but nothing worked. Eventually, when he was five, he was cast out. But he lingered, and his sisters Faye and Alosha would sneak him food and rags to wash himself. His first ever kill was a bunny when he was seven and starved, and he began to eat those when in the wild, as well as berries. Eventually, he didn’t need his sisters anymore, and he went off on his own. He was only alone for six months before a family found him and brought him to the demihuman pound. There, he was chosen again and brought with another family. This family pampered him and loved him despite his backstory, and he eventually grew to love them as well. They gave him homeschooling and let him express himself however he wanted. He got into D.I.C.K on a half-paid scholarship, after doing an online semester for his final year of high school.
