Piku is, overall, a kind and helpful character. Over the course of the story, he helps anyone they encounter who is in need of help, usually for no reward. When he makes a mistake, he sets out to fix it. Other characters feel comfortable trusting Piku even after only a few minutes of meeting them.

Piku has a slight attitude, and will behave rudely if so desired. This includes kicking other characters, annoying them, or destroying Sam the Slime's potteries, which saddens the slime. This does not have any ultimate effect on character interactions, however. The most notable instance of Piku being rude in the story is when he kicks the spider across the chasm near the mountain village, and even then, this is done not out of malice, but to help fix the village's bridge.

Piku is on bad terms with Mr. Sunshine and his robots, as Piku helps the The Rebels foil Mr. Sunshine's plans. After Piku defeats Mr. Sunshine, they are on good terms with the robots, who no longer have to obey their boss. Piku is also disliked by the store owner in the valley, who has a grudge against them simply for not truly being a beast, thus ruining the store owner's plans of selling beast-themed merchandise. Notes: Piku does not have a mouth, and therefore cannot speak, however, he knows Morse code, and can write with his pencil hat if given paper.
