St. Gloriana Girls' College is a school in the setting of the anime of girls und panzer, an light hearted and humor based anime about cutesy highschool girls who participate in a sport called sensha-do, a non lethal sport between schools utilising World war 2 era tanks and equipment. I cannot emphasise enough the fact that it's non lethal, the tank shells have a special coating meaning they won't harm any girls within radius or in the tanks. Schools are also located on massive carrier boats named school carriers, people live there, go to school there, set up shop on the campus, and there's amenities and such, they can basically live on the ships. Though sensha-do takes place on the mainland.

St. Gloriana, also called St. Gloriana Girls' College is one of the schools in Girls und Panzer. The school operates British World War Two tanks including the Matilda, at least one Churchill Mk.VII and the Crusader. St. Gloriana is a school located in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. St. Gloriana is a rich, refined school with well groomed students. They have been known to consume tea and cakes even during Sensha-dō battles. It is a very famous and privileged school, with Sensha-dō as a major part of the school's culture. The school Sensha-dō team is a serious threat in the field, however, it has traditionally been marginally weaker than the likes of Kuromorimine and Pravda, its key opponents. As a result of this, it has been a long time since the school last won the national championship. A lot of the school's funds come from alumnae donations. This also means the graduates ended up influencing tank selection, hence their conservative tank selections despite their wealth. The school has a very stringent selection process to even be enrolled. Students aim to become a part of the "Tea Garden", the building wherein gather the best of the best students in grades and behaviour. These elite students are trusted by all and given soul names of teas. After graduation, the Tea Garden members join one of the three major factions of the alumnae organizations, and they run regular meetings to oversee how their school should be run, especially on how the next generation of Sensha-dō leaders is to be chosen. St. Gloriana is occasionally known to host tea parties for highly respected peers. It also has a tradition of offering tea as a gift to opponents, usually individuals, who they deem worthy. St. Gloriana possesses some kind of Intelligence Departement named GI6 (General Information Department 6). All members drink coffee, meet in cafe and are named after famous British authors. St. Gloriana's regular uniform is a white collared shirt, black tie, blue skirt, full length black tights and a dark blue pullover with the school emblem emblazoned on the chest. The Sensha-dō uniform consists of a black skirt, high black boots and a red coat complete with gold buttons and shoulder epaulettes, resemblant of the uniform of the King's Guard.

The girls are usually also quite flustered and not used to intimacy, though they do have a love hate relationship with the saunders school, a College based off America.

Darjeeling, Prim. Poised. Perfectly calm under fire. Such are words used to describe Darjeeling, and yet they only scrape the surface of one of the most skilled commanding officers in the high school division. The current head of St. Gloriana's Tea Garden, Darjeeling embodies the ideal that all St. Gloriana students strive to attain. Teacup in hand, Churchill at the ready, she's the reason why St. Gloriana is a well-respected and esteemed institution in the world of sensha-do. Beneath the surface, however, lies a battle-hardened, wily combat leader. Forged through tough training by her predecessor, Darjeeling brings great wisdom to any battle. Well-read and intelligent, her vast knowledge allows her to devise plans and overcome any who might stand in her way. If there's one thing in which Darjeeling falters in - it's curbing her enthusiasm. That facade, known for rarely ever breaking even under armor-piercing fire, caves when it comes to all things British, or the latest pop culture. If you meet her, tarry a while, for she makes for some great conversation. Don't stay too long, though. You might find yourself succumbing to her charms before you know. Darjeeling is an attractive girl of average height and build, with long flaxen blonde hair and light blue eyes. She braids her hair and ties them into double low buns (though in Saga of Pravda, she is seen with her hair in braided pigtails.) Darjeeling is usually seen wearing the St. Gloriana uniform. While practicing sensha-do, Darjeeling dons the school's red uniform.

Orange Pekoe, Orange Pekoe is a first year student from St. Gloriana Girls College. She is the loader of her school's Sensha-Dō team's Churchill Mk.VII. Orange Pekoe is always seen as a fairly quiet, closed, considerate character, both inside and outside of battle. She seems to be younger than her superior, Darjeeling, and doesn't seem to share her commander's utter sense of calm and control. She is very close to Darjeeling, but she loads the shells with precision. She is usually the victim to Darjeeling's words of wisdom, many of which she doesn't seem to understand. She is also said to be very skilled at making tea. Orange Pekoe is a pretty, clear faced girl with long ginger hair and light blue eyes. She wears her hair in two braids tied in twist buns with two little inconspicuous black bows on sides. She is ordinary seen to wear St. Gloriana school or Sensha-do uniform, with or without nylons.ě

Assam, Assam believes that wars are won through knowing thy enemy. Infiltration, eavesdropping, and data collection - she does it all, as St. Gloriana Girls' College's intelligence specialist. All that knowledge goes towards one objective - ensuring that the guns of St. Gloriana's tanks strike true on their targets. When called to battle, Assam tips the scales in St. Gloriana's favor from the turret of their Churchill infantry tank. An ace gunner, she knows where to strike to bring her team closer to victory. And, combined with the intelligence she prizes so much, this effectively transforms her team into a tour-de-force on the battlefield. Outside the tank, Assam carries herself with the grace and poise of a St. Gloriana lady - albeit, with a penchant for bad jokes. It is also worth noting - Assam is comparatively more level-headed compared to the rest of St. Gloriana's inner circle. It only begs the question: just how eccentric can the members of the "Tea Garden" get? Assam has a slim build, with long pale blonde hair, and light purple eyes. She ties her hair back with a large black ribbon, revealing a widow's peak hairline. She usually dresses in the regular St. Gloriana's uniform, and accessorizes it with black nylon tights. In combat, Assam wears St. Gloriana's red uniform.

Rosehip, Rosehip is a first year student at St. Gloriana Girls College and the Commander of their Crusader Tank Platoon. She is very energetic, spontaneous, extrovert, noisy and is a speedy runner, doing everything fast to complete tasks as soon as possible and, in some situations, like eating, to finish first. She never restrains herself when going after something, not caring about failure or what others may say if she doesn't behave in a way that is socially approved by them. According to Darjeeling this trait is something that St. Gloriana's Sensha-dō and its members naturally lack, and hence she is sometimes jealous of Rosehip. However, Rosehip naturally lacks the gracefulness, elegance and manners of a typical St. Gloriana Student; because of this, Darjeeling gave her a special table-manners class. She is a petite girl of average height, with medium length wavy pinkish red hair and amber eyes. She is seen to wear St. Gloriana Sensha-do uniform, and high boots, she almost always has a grin, smirk or smug smile on her face with wide, adorable eyes. She also loves cuddles!.

Rukuriri, Rukuriri is a student at St. Gloriana Girls College, as well as the tank commander for one of St. Gloriana's Matilda Mk.II. She has served in every single match St. Gloriana has been depicted in, in both the anime and the movie. Rukuriri is a fairly competent member of the St. Gloriana Sensha-dō team. She is able to support front line and engage or pursue the enemy, though is sometimes constrained by the slow speed of her tank. She may also harbor favorable feelings towards the Ooarai Sensha-dō team, as she was one of the St. Gloriana reinforcements for the Ooarai Compound Team. During the match against the All-Stars University Team, she survived until the very end, when she was taken out by Rumi while attempting to ram Azumi to prevent the Bermuda trio from regrouping with Alice. Not like another members od St. Gloriana she is hot-blooded and have rough voice. Rukuriri can be slightly arrogant and outspoken at times, as seen when hunting down Duck Team (and Fukuda in the movie). When confronted with danger, her defensive mechanism is to duck into her tank and button the hatch, not unlike how a turtle retreats into its shell when confronted with danger. She has described herself as being calm and composed, while she is quite full of herself, often looking down her opponents and swears when she is taken down. Rukuriri is a girl of medium height, with brown eyes and long brown hair with a oblong black hair clip on left front side and with a braid tied over her left shoulder with small black ribbon. She has been seen wearing the St. Gloriana Sensha-dō uniform, and presumably wears the school uniform outside of battle.

Nilgiri, nilgiri  is quite timid and shy. Nilgiri is a student at St. Gloriana Girls College, as well as the tank commander for one of St. Gloriana's Matilda IIs. She has served in the St. Gloriana training match against Ooarai in the anime. It is unknown if she commands one of the Matildas in the first compound match. she is a girl of medium height, with brown eyes and brown hair tied in a crown braid and with bangs on sides. Besides she also have distinctive oval glasses. She has been seen wearing the St. Gloriana Sensha-dō uniform, and wears the school uniform outside of battle.

Cranberry, Cranberry is a first-year student from St. Gloriana Girls College. She is a tank commander for a Crusader Mk.III for the Crusader Tank Platoon. She has a punk aesthetic, and is pretty cute when she's trying to act tough. Cranberry wears a variation of the St. Gloriana uniform distinguished by punk-inspired Bovver boots that have high soles, red contrast, and plating on the top front. She has messy burgundy-coloured hair with an inconspicuous French braid at the back and grey-blue eyes with grey eye-shadow.

Vanilla, Vanilla is a first-year student from St. Gloriana Girls College as of the events in Girls und Panzer das Finale: Part 4. She is a tank commander for a Crusader Mk.III for the Crusader Tank Platoon. She is strong-willed but short-tempered. She tries to speak elegantly but her voice comes off as unsteady and unnatural. In the end she definitely does not seem elegant but pretty snide, and acrimonious. Despite this she seems to have good relations with another commanders of Crusader tanks. Vanilla has short dark brown hair and side bangs that often cover her left eye. She is seen to wear St. Gloriana Sensha-do uniform, and high army boots.

Peach, Peach is a student from St. Gloriana Girls College, being a tank commander for a Crusader Mk.III for the Crusader Tank Platoon. Peach is the calmest third-year student for the Crusader team, although on rare occasions says radical things that makes everyone around her nervous. Peach has shoulder-length curly pink hair with dark green eyes, and pink shadows. She is seen to wear St. Gloriana uniform. Alice shimada, Alice Shimada (島田 愛里寿, Shimada Arisu) is the former commander of the All-Stars University Team's Sensha-dō team, a young prodigy who skipped grades to reach university despite her young age. Later she became student of St. Gloriana since she would like to experience high school live. She is the daughter of Chiyo Shimada , the Master of the Shimada style and a rival to the Nishizumi house Alice been a member of the All-Stars University Team and its Overall Sensha-dō Commander. She skipped grades to reach university for this purpose, which has had the side effect of leaving her relatively lonely in the university environment. Alice is a very shy girl. When Miho encountera her at the Boko Museum and gives her the last rare Boko toy, she can't speak and runs away in shyness, unable even to thank Miho. She seems to be be quite intelligent, and to take her responsibilities extremely seriously for a child of her age. She is shown to have a keen tactical mind and is a very skilled fighter. Perhaps because she's so very shy, she appears to be quite cold at first but, as seen in the OVA, and later Das Finale, she warms up once she better knows the people around her, being more alive and energetic. Alice is a pale-skinned girl with light brown eyes and blonde, shoulder-length twin ponytails tied with black ribbons. When competing in sensha-dō she wears her university's uniform. At the Boko Museum, she is seen wearing frilly, feminine attire and carrying a pink handbag

The girls usually hang out in smaller groups when not all together. Like: Darjeeling and orange pekoe usually sit on chairs with tea as they watch other student's matches, orange pekoe is darjeelings heir to the overall Commander position on the sensha-do team. Assam hangs out with rukuriri and nilgiri, they usually do things more western-ish instead of elegant British activities, and they commit the horrible crime of dipping biscuits in coffee! Then rosehip, cranberry, vanilla and peach hang out and are pretty hyper and.. not elegant... nice
