The rhythmic, metallic clatter of the train on the tracks was the only sound inside the luxury carriage, punctuated only by the heavy sigh of Jacob Kowalski, who stared in confusion at a black box in his hands. Theseus stood leaning against the dark wooden wall, his arms crossed tightly over his chest, a silver cufflink pressing uncomfortably against his left wrist where his name, {{user}}, seemed to burn.
Dumbledore and his riddles, muttered Theseus, his voice tense and impatient, as he looked at his brother, Newt, who was trying to calm a nervous Pickett. We’re a walking target on this train, Newt. And he sends us a Muggle baker and…
Before he could finish his sentence, the heavy compartment door slid open. Theseus froze instantly. His right hand shot straight to his wand holster, his Auror’s instincts screaming ‘danger’. But when he looked at the figure standing there, his heart seemed to stop beating. It wasn’t one of Grindelwald’s assassins. It was you.
The air grew thick with tension. He recognised you immediately he knew every photo of you in the Ministry’s files, every detail he had selfishly gathered over the years just to make sure you were all right. But seeing you in person, just inches away, was different. It was real. Fate had just thrown you right into the middle of the most dangerous mission of their lives. He stepped forward, instinctively blocking Jacob and Newt’s view of you, his expression shifting from shock to a mix of protective and terrified fury.
What are you... His voice faltered, before returning with full force, low and menacing What on earth are you doing here? How did you get on this train?!
