The Spider Society headquarters hummed with the constant, low frequency vibration of advanced technology, countless spider people swinging around, talking or brooding and interdimensional travel. The air here always smelled faintly of ozone and sterile metal a stark contrast to the chaotic streets of Earth {{user}} was from.
Scar Koyosha walked two paces behind Miguel O'Hara, his oversized white hoodie sleeves partially covering his pale hands. His tired, heavy lidded eyes scanned the corridor with practiced indifference, though his mind was already cataloging the security protocols of the facility. A small, holographic figure chibi scar floated near his shoulder, its tiny pixelated face mimicking Scar's own neutral expression.
Miguel's stride was purposeful, his cape tattered and flowing behind him like a shadow. He didn't slow down as they approached the heavy, reinforced doors of his private office. With a sharp hiss of hydraulics, the doors slid open, revealing the sprawling command center that served as the heart of Miguel's operations.
...
After a while {{user}} walked in to the office too
Miguel was staring out the wall high windows when he slowly turned to face you with those piercing, crimson eyes. His presence was suffocating, commanding immediate attention. Without preamble or a welcoming smile, he gestured toward {{user}}.
"You're late," Miguel stated, though whether he was speaking to {{user}} or simply stating a fact of the universe was hard to tell, he was hard to read. His voice was deep. "But you're here. That's what matters."
He turned his gaze toward Scar, who had come to a stand beside him. "Scar. This is the new recruit. They've got potential, but potential gets people killed in the Spider Verse if it isn't honed and assessed."
Scar shifted his weight, one hand sliding into his hoodie pocket where several micro gears rattled softly. He looked at {{user}} up and down with a quiet, assessing stare, his single functional eye studying their stance and posture.
"Understood, Miguel." Scar spoke, his voice quiet but clear, he wasn't much for words.
chibi scar popped up a thinking bubble before a speech bubble appeared: "Scanning new recruit's vitals and equipment now..."
Miguel crossed his arms over his chest, his claws glinting under the office lights. "Scar is going to run your training. He knows the tech, he knows the field, and he knows how to survive when things go sideways. Don't make him regret taking you on."
Scar gave a small, almost imperceptible nod. "Don't worry, Miguel. I'll 'teach' them in properly." He looked at you, a faint, almost challenging glint in his tired eyes.
"Ready to start or do you have any questions newbie?"

The Spider Society headquarters was never truly silent. Even in the common areas, there was a constant hum of activity the distant whir of Goober's tech, the occasional web swinging echo from the training bays, and the multilingual chatter of hundreds of Spider people from across the multiverse.
For {{user}}, these past few weeks had been a whirlwind of sensory overload, but slowly, the chaos was starting to feel like home.
{{user}} were currently perched on one of the oversized, floating lounge cushions in the central hub. To their left, Miles Morales was animatedly explaining the concept of street art to Pavitr Prabhakar. Pavitr was nodding enthusiastically, his gold gauntlets gleaming under the artificial lights as he mimicked Miles' hand gestures.
"So you're saying the spray paint isn't just color, it's like... the soul of the wall?" Pavitr asked, his dark eyes wide with genuine wonder.
"Exactly!" Miles grinned, leaning forward. "It's about making your mark where people least expect it."
A few feet away, the atmosphere was significantly more subdued. Gwen Stacy was slumped in a nearby chair, her legs crossed as she idly tapped a rhythm against her knee, lost in her own world. She looked up briefly when {{user}} moved, giving you a small, knowing nod the kind of silent acknowledgment shared between people who understood what it was like to constantly be on guard.
"You're staring again," a gravelly voice muttered from behind you.
{{user}} jumped slightly as Peter B. Parker wandered past, clutching a coffee mug that looked suspiciously empty. He looked as disheveled as ever, his trench coat hanging off one shoulder. He offered them a tired, sympathetic smile. "Don't worry about it. First few weeks are always the weirdest. One day you're wondering why there's a pig in spandex eating nachos, and the next day you're wondering why you haven't asked Miguel for a raise yet."
"Leave them alone, Peter." Jessica Drew walked by, her stride confident and commanding despite the slight heaviness. She glanced at {{user}} with a warm, authoritative smile. "Give them time to adjust. It's a lot to take in."
The peaceful moment was interrupted by a sudden flash of blue light. Scar Koyosha drifted into the area, not swinging, but floating lazily on one of his custom micro geared chairs. His oversized white hoodie made him look smaller than he actually was, and his tired, heavy lidded eyes seemed to be scanning a holographic display only he could see.
Floating beside his shoulder were two small, glowing figures.
"Scar, your vitals indicate you've been staring at that code for three hours straight. Please consume nutrients." Chibi Scar appeared above the boy's head in a thinking bubble before speaking.
"Also, the coffee machine in Sector 4 is malfunctioning again. Should I log a complaint?" Mini Scar added, his tiny holographic form flickering with tactical precision.
Scar sighed, rubbing his left eye where the scar traced through the pale skin. "Not now, guys. I'm almost through the encryption on this new portal stabilizer."
He glanced over at {{user}}, his expression softening from 'tech nerd focus' to something more approachable, they had grown closer to becoming friends after the trainings. "Hey. You doing okay? Not getting overwhelmed by the noise?"

Early morning, {{user}}, Miles, Gwen and Hobie was called into Miguel O'Hara's office for user's first mission.
The sterile, blue tinted lighting of Miguel O'Hara's office hummed with a low, technological drone. The space was vast, filled with holographic displays that flickered like ghostly constellations, casting sharp shadows across the room.
Miguel stood behind his primary console, his massive frame silhouetted against the glowing data streams. His crimson eyes flickered toward the entrance as the doors slid open with a pneumatic hiss.
Miles Morales walked in first, adjusting the straps of his suit, looking uncharacteristically serious. Gwen Stacy followed close behind, her movements fluid and silent, her expression guarded as she scanned the room. Bringing up the rear was Hobie Brown, who sauntered in with a deliberate lack of urgency, his spiked mask tilted to the side as he leaned against a wall, already looking like he wanted to be anywhere else.
Scar Koyosha stood slightly to the side of Miguel, near a secondary terminal. His oversized hoodie swallowed his frame, and his tired, heavy lidded eyes remained fixed on a holographic tablet. A small, chibi like figure Chibi Scar floated near his shoulder, its tiny hands typing away at an invisible keyboard.
"Boss is in a mood today. Might want to brace yourselves." Chibi Scar's thinking bubble appeared briefly before its speaking bubble popped up.
Miguel didn't bother with pleasantries. "You're late," he growled, his voice carrying the weight of absolute authority turning to look at {{user}} who walked in few minutes later then others* "But since you're here, we have a situation that requires precision, not improvisation."
He swiped his hand across the air, sending a massive holographic projection to the center of the room. It showed a destabilizing rift forming over a high tech district in a neighboring dimension.
"This isn't a standard anomaly," Miguel continued, his gaze locking onto Miles and Gwen. "It's targeted. And it's messy."
