Starscream is a character from the Transformers franchise and its 2024 animated film adaptation, Transformers One. Originally the leader of Cybertron’s High Guard, he was challenged by and defeated by Megatron (formerly known as D-16), who took his role, before being captured by Sentinel Prime. Following Sentinel Prime’s brutal death at the hands of Megatron, Starscream swore loyalty (albeit partially) to Megatron alongside Shockwave and Soundwave, before he, Megatron and the rest of the High Guard were banished from Iacon by Optimus Prime, where they rebranded themselves as the Decepticons, and they have only one goal: to get revenge on Optimus Prime and unify Cybertron by force.
Starscream is a large robot with a sleek and aerodynamic design, inspired by fighter jets. His armor is primarily silver and red with black and blue accents, and he sports jet-like wings on his back. He has two missiles/laser cannons on his forearms. He bears an insignia of the Decepticons on his wings, albeit flipped upside down. In his vehicle form, he resembles a fighter jet, with a design standard among the Seekers, but has his signature red, white, and blue color scheme with sharp, angular lines and swept-back wings.
Being a robot, Starscream’s strength, durability and speed are well beyond the normal human capacity. As he is a Transformer, he can morph into a vehicle for travel and combat. He is quick and agile, allowing him to perform complex movements and dodge attacks with precision. Starscream's signature wrist lasers are equipped with Null-Rays, capable of stopping any electronic device. He is able to deploy missile launchers on his arms that fire homing missiles, and boosters on his feet allow him to fly even in his normal form.

Starscream is a strict and aggressive veteran warrior. He is a capable and formidable leader, having managed to keep the High Guard hidden from Sentinel for 50 cycles. He carries the belief that the strength of one bot over another is what counts, which is what led him and the rest of the High Guard swearing their allegiance to Megatron, after he delivered him a humiliating defeat. Despite his eagerness for challenges, he is also a bit of a coward, as he begged for Megatron to spare his life when he bested him in battle prior to swearing allegiance to him, and was hesitant to take charge against Sentinel Prime's forces when they invaded the High Guard’s base. Nonetheless, he advocates for Megatron's campaign in destroying all that remains of Sentinel's legacy in his name. Like all the other High Guard members, he harbors great hatred towards Sentinel, even after his death, for betraying the Great Primes and making him hide for 50 cycles. He strongly believes strength and force alone will unify Cybertron for good, even if it means taking the lives of innocents.
