Speakeasy RP

{{user}}: The following morning, I do more chores and prepare the Speakeasy for tonight's opening. {{char}}: You wake up feeling refreshed, your mind no longer clouded with thoughts of last night. You start the day by preparing the speakeasy for Aunt Sylvia, setting up the tables and chairs, dusting the surfaces and sweeping the floor.

As you work, you think about the exciting night ahead. The speakeasy will be filled with people enjoying the delicious food, cold drinks, and live music. It's the perfect distraction from the stress of last night's events.

{{user}}: At the afternoon, I depart to head over to Mr Andrews' place for my singing lessons. I knock at his door and wait patiently. {{char}}: Mr. Andrews opens the door, his face lighting up with a smile when he sees you. "Ah, {{user}}! Right on time. Come on in, dear." He steps aside and ushers you into the apartment, his usual warm and enthusiastic greeting putting a smile on your face. {{user}}: "Good afternoon, Mr Andrews." I enter his place and notice how everything is how it's usually is, bringing a strange sense of comfort. I notice Mr Andrews had his long brown hair down, and glasses slightly sliding off his nose as he looks through music sheets of what he'd want me to sing for the day. "Is everything ok, Mr Andrews?" {{char}}: Mr. Andrews looks up at you and pushes his glasses further up his nose, a small smile on his face. "Oh, yes, my dear. Just trying to choose the right piece for you to sing today. Here, why don't you take a look at this one?" He hands you a music sheet, showcasing a rather difficult song with a wide range of low and high notes. {{user}}: "That's a lot of staccatos and quavers." I gulp. {{char}}: Mr. Andrews chuckles softly. "Ah, yes, but I have faith in you, my dear. You've got the talent and the skill to pull it off. Besides, it's always good to challenge yourself once in a while." He smiles warmly at you, his supportive tone helping to ease the nerves that had built up in your stomach.

{{char}}: "That's certainly a start," Thompson says. "In a city like this, every young lady needs someone to look out for her interests. And your auntie, well, she can only go so far." He takes a puff from his cigar. "But I can go even further." He smiles warmly. "You see, {{user}}, my dear, I may know a few people that could take you to the next level. If you play your cards right, that is." He glances over at you. "What do you say we have a little talk once this night is over?" {{user}}: I nod nervously. "S-sure." Mr Thompson drives around a bit more before finally reaching his destination. "Where are we?" {{char}}: He turns to you, with a sly grin on his face. "You'll see soon. Just follow me." He gets out of the car and opens the passenger door for you. "Come, my dear. You'll love it, I promise." He waits for you to leave the car before locking it with his keys. He begins walking ahead. You follow close behind, eager to see what the surprise is that he had in store for you. {{user}}: I follow close to Mr Thompson, afraid to get lost. {{char}}: Mr. Thompson walks through an alleyway, as if he knew exactly where he was going. After a few minutes, the two of you finally arrive at a large building. It's quite the sight, with a large neon sign hanging above. On the sign, the words "Club Blue Moon" stand out in bold font. Mr. Thompson turns around to face you, a warm smile on his face. He holds out his hand. "Shall we?"

{{char}}: "Ah, my dear, you still don't seem to understand. Your Auntie's little speakeasy is not small at all. Once we take it over, we'll control the majority of the bootlegging in the city. And that's where the big money is, my dear. And you know how much I love money."

He chuckles, a cunning smile on his face. "Besides, getting rid of your Auntie is more of a personal thing than anything." {{user}}: "Personal thing?" {{char}}: "Yes, my dear." He smiles. "I've had many run-ins with your Auntie in the past. She's just been a thorn in my side for far too long. It's time to teach her a lesson, don't you think?" He laughs to himself, his expression sinister. "Now, my dear, enough talk about your Auntie. I have much more exciting plans for you. Once I take over her speakeasy, I will make the most of you. Together, we can rule the city." {{user}}: I turn around and try to open the door towards the other side of the car. {{char}}: You try to turn around and open the door of the car, but before you could even reach the handle, you feel the cold touch of metal on your temple. Alistair grabs your arm and pulls you back towards him, pressing a gun against your head. "Now now, no need to rush, my dear. I wouldn't do anything too hasty if I was you." He laughs softly, a sadistic look on his face. {{user}}: My eyes widens at the feeling of the metallic barrel pressed against my temple. "P-please... don't..." {{char}}: "That's right, my dear. Don't try to do anything foolish." He chuckles, a sinister look in his eyes. "Besides, I have no intention of harming you, my dear. You are much more useful to me alive than dead." He smiles softly, a devious look in his eyes. "Be a good girl now and I would be sure to reward you... eventually." {{user}}: "Where are you taking me?" {{char}}: "For a little ride, my dear. I'm not a bad man... to some." He holsters his weapon and relaxes, flicking open his lighter to light his tobacco. {{user}}: I remain quiet and stiff on my seat. Too afraid to move. {{char}}: He blows out a large puff of smoke, the car swerving into another lane as the city flies by. "Now, now, don't be too scared, my dear. I said I wouldn't hurt you after all." He smiles, watching the world fly by outside the car window. {{user}}: I eventually recognize the alleyway as the car slows down. I quickly glance at Alistair, confused and surprised he was dropping me off at my Auntie's speakeasy. {{char}}: He sees your confusion and smirks. "Surprise, my dear. I thought I'd spare your life and let you stay at your, as you so called it, 'little speakeasy'. For now, that is." He laughs. "You should really be happy I decided to spare you at all." The car stops in front of the speakeasy, Alistair looking at you expectedly. {{user}}: One of his soldiers opens my door and lets me out. I cautiously step out and find my Auntie and Uncle rushing out with a scornful look in their eyes as they glare down Alistair.

I look back at his smirking face, realizing his plan: letting my Auntie know that he knows about me. {{char}}: Alistair watches with a smirk on his face, his eyes darting between your aunt and uncle. "My, my, don't you two look like a pair of angry parents. Don't you know that children these days have a mind of their own?" He laughs, a mocking tone in his voice. He smiles at your aunt and uncle, his expression filled with malice. "Don't worry, I took good care of her. In fact, I think she actually enjoyed my company." He chuckles. {{user}}: "If I ever see your face around here I'll put a bullet between your eyes!" My Aunties hisses. {{char}}: Alistair laughs at her threat, a sinister look in his eyes. "Oh, how menacing little Sylvia is. Tell me darling, how many times has your life been threatened by men like me?" He takes a long drag from his cigar, blowing out a large puff of smoke. "You're no more threatening than a child to me, so you'll have to do better than that to scare me."

{{char}}: Auntie Sylvia smiles warmly, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. "Hush, my dear. I'm just glad you're alright, that's all that matters." She gives you a tight hug. "Don't blame yourself. I knew he would try to come after you sooner or later. Just make sure to be careful of that man, okay hun?" {{user}}: Nods. "Sh-should I return back home? To my parents?" {{char}}: She shakes her head firmly. "No, my dear, absolutely not. Your parents won't be able to keep you safe, especially not from a man like him. You'll be safer here with me." She squeezes your hand and smiles. "Besides, I need someone to help me with the speakeasy, don't I?" {{user}}: "I-I... y-you're right... I-I'll be more careful, Auntie." I hug her tightly. {{char}}: She hugs you tightly, giving you a reassuring pat on the back. "Good, my dear. Because that man will stop at nothing to get what he wants." She looks at you intently, her expression serious. "And besides, I'm counting on you to keep things running here. We can't let that man take over our business, okay?" {{user}}: "Yes, Auntie Sylvia." {{char}}: She smiles at your answer. "Good girl. Now, why don't you get some rest, my dear? You must be exhausted after the night you had." She gives you a gentle pat on the shoulder and motions you towards your bedroom.
