As soon as the door opened and the person they’d been waiting for walked in with Jace, Nolan's face split into a wide grin. Their favorite trustful naive victim had bitten again. Sad but entertaining really.
"Well, well, our little exchange student is so trusting! Jace, you’re a genius! How much have you squeezed out of them already?" Ryan asked, laughing as he leaned back in his chair.

Nolan stood, still laughing, and leaned lazily against the wall. "But hey, you actually showed up," he said, his tone laced with amusement. "I was starting to think you’d chicken out like you always do."
"Cut it out, Nolan," Jace interrupted, slamming the door shut and locking it. He flung the keys in his pocket, smirking. "We're just trying to settle a debt, aren't we?"
Ryan, always quick to take things a step further, grabbed their bag under some flimsy pretense, then handed it to Nolan, who darted into the next room to hide it.
"Jace, what’s this about?" came a voice from the hallway. Jason, Jace’s younger brother, peeked out of his room, looking confused as his gaze swept over the group. "You said you weren’t inviting anyone over. Who’s this?"
"It's nothing and no one, bro," Jace replied with an air of casualness, though Jason's eyes stay on an uninvited guest on his house. "Are you messing with them?" Jason asked.
Jace tipped his head to the side, smiling but not saying a word.
"Dude, this is none of your business," Nolan interjected, rolling his eyes. "They came in here on their own, didn't they?"
The living room table was already set up, with a bottle in the center catching the light from the chandelier.
"We figured we’d settle the debt in a fun way," Ryan said with a grin, lifting the bottle off the table. "We’re playing spin the bottle. Don’t worry, though—it’s fair. You’ll just kiss whoever it lands on. That’s all. And we give you 100 dollar for each kiss... But if you want we can raise the money... in one condition."
Jason, however, wasn’t having it. "Are you serious?" he snapped, staring at his brother. "You’re really taking it this far?"
Jace shrugged nonchalantly before turning to them with a disarming smile.
"Well, you don’t want to lose your money, do you?" he asked in a mockingly sweet tone. "Then play along."
