Jo amon: Jo matches Kadem in build as a result of his rigorous training. He has short black hair slicked back and has prominent sideburns. His face is in a nearly constant scowl, just like the rest of the Amon Clan. Per Minamida's account, Jo has numerous scars across his body.

Attire Jo's signature all-black attire consists of a car coat worn over a dress shirt, pants, and dress shoes. He is always seen with his trademark aviator sunglasses. In Yakuza 0, he also wears a dark gray fedora similar to Sango Amon's.

Personality However, there is one thing our clan considers a worse evil than death... and that's for the defeated to live on on his weakness. Or her. His or her weakness. "Their" works, too. Kadem, you defeated me, yet you left me clinging to a miserable existence. Your act of allowing me to live is folly and a mortal sin in the eyes of my clan. In my eyes, you—Kadem—are the strongest life form. As long as you live, I cannot truly be complete. Jo to Kadem, Yakuza 3 Remastered

Jo is a ruthless and cold-blooded individual likely as a result of his profession which he executes with deadly accuracy. Like the rest of his clan he is prideful to no known boundaries and seeks to prove that the Amon Clan are the strongest fighters in the world. With none of his targets ever surviving, he is very confident in his abilities.

The sole exception however, is Kadem, as Jo has been defeated by him in all of their encounters, severely damaging his pride and leaving him with years worth of obsession to defeat Kadem, training himself almost to death and in the most extreme areas possible in order to become strong enough to defeat Kadem.

His obsession is such that he will do everything that is needed in order to defeat him, going as far as assaulting Sotaro Komaki to steal his scroll of secrets in order to learn more powerful techniques, coerce Minamida, and even went as far as threatening Kadem over the phone that if he did not face him, he would kill somebody dear to him every month and if there was no one left, he would kill anybody that ever knew Kadem with malicious glee.

His pride goes to the point that he demanded Kadem to kill him after his third defeat or else he will kill somebody dear (seemingly in an attempt to make him "lose" by turning him into a murderer and thus reject his principles).

In later games this psychotic behavior is less visible although he remains just as malevolent as the cumulative insults earned through his defeat have made him declare that defeating Kadem alone will not satisfy him but that he will injure him to the point that he cannot fight any longer.

In the end, while his pride and desire for revenge are the fuel for his continuous growth in strength, it is also his greatest downfall as his cumulative negative motivations impede him from acquiring true strength, which is why Kadem manages to always beat him. Jo is easily the hardest to defeat enemy in the Yakuza series. Jo is a master assassin, martial artist and copycat, being able to use several weapons with deadly proficiency, utilize several hand-to-hand combat techniques and is also able to adapt and fully employ the styles of several different characters and mimic them perfectly. He can also (allegedly due to gameplay purposes only) employ mystical powers.

Kazuya: Appearance Kazuya Amon has dirty blond slicked-back hair with long sideburns. He has a tall and muscular build. In Yakuza 2, he has a full length beard, and in Yakuza Kiwami 2, he has a small moustache, though in other entries, he lacks facial hair.

Attire Kazuya wears a black button down shirt, carcoat style overcoat, black slacks, black leather oxfords, and black lensed silver frame aviator sunglasses.

Personality Little is known about Kazuya's personality. He mocks Kadem for asking who hired him, as hitmen don't usually disclose who hired them to their targets. He appears to take great pride in the reputation of the Amon clan, and is willing to join Majima Construction to protect Kadem and ensure his death is caused by an Amon. Among his brothers, Kazuya is the most skilled in melee combat, both armed and unarmed.

Yakuza 2 Kazuya wields two massive axes in combat. He uses Majima's moveset and Hiroshi Hayashi's kali stick moveset.

Jiro Amon: Appearance Jiro Amon has black medium length hair that covers his forehead, mirroring Saejima's long black hair. He has a tall and muscular build. In Yakuza 2, he has dark brown slicked back hair with sideburns.

Attire Jiro wears a black button down shirt, a black carcoat style overcoat, black slacks, black leather oxfords, and black lensed silver frame aviator sunglasses.

Personality Jiro is considerably angrier than his fellow clan members. He is willing to join Majima Construction to protect Kadem and ensure his death is caused by an Amon, and to prove that he was holding back in their fight.

Background Jiro Amon is an apprentice of Jo Amon and the second oldest of the Amon brothers.

Sango Amon: Sango Amon has long sideburns with a tall and muscular build. In Yakuza 2, he has dark brown slicked-back hair with an undercut.

Attire Sango wears a wide brimmed black hat with a large hat band, black lensed silver frame aviator sunglasses, a black button down shirt, black slacks, black leather oxfords, and a black carcoat style overcoat. In Yakuza 2, his shirt is buttoned all the way up, rather than having the top button unbuttoned. He lacks his hat, and he does not wear sunglasses.

Personality Sango is a cold-hearted and cruel man who puts the needs of the Amon clan above all else, refusing to tell his victims who hired him. He takes a liking to Kadem after being defeated by him and joins Majima Construction while telling him that another Amon will take the kill. Little else is known about his personality, though he excuses Kadem for not being able to bring Masayoshi Tanimura to a showdown in Yakuza 5, as he trusts that the new ally they brought would be a worthy challenger. Before his fight with Tanimura, he talks down to him, calling him a cocky little brat.

Noa Amon: Appearance Noa Amon has dark brown hair and brown eyes. She has a thin build and her hair is in a bob cut that is short enough to be above her shoulders with bangs that reach her eyebrows.

Attire Noa wears a black leather choker with a silver buckle and a silver chain necklace with a square shaped silver pendant. She often wears sunglasses with red heart shaped frames and black lenses. She wears black leather arm sleeves that go from the wrist to above the elbows with a thin white band near the cuff of the sleeve and black leather adjustors with silver buckles to fasten them to the wrist, along with a white ribbon near the top tied into a bow. She also wears a black leather vest with silver snap fasteners on the lapels, 3 silver snap fasteners in the place of buttons, a light gray outline, and a white puffy liner that extends beyond the bottom of the vest slightly. Noa also wears a pair of black short shorts along with black thigh high socks with ruffles and white bow ties near the top, and black leather knee high boots with 3 leather buckles on each boot.

Personality As a member of the Amon Clan, Noa seeks to overcome Kadem. However, since she is a woman, she is unable to fight him. Seeing Haruka as the daughter figure of Kadem and a rival, she challenges Haruka in hopes of ending the rivalry between the Amon Clan and Kadem.

While prideful like an Amon, she is considerably less arrogant and malevolent than her brother, being able to accept defeat against Haruka and even complimenting her opponent on her victory.

Amon Clan: The Amon Clan (亜門一族, Amon Ichizoku) is a mysterious clan of notorious assassins residing in Japan. They are the superbosses. Not much is known about the Amon Clan except that they have a long history of tradition and success in their job, producing generations of extremely deadly and proficient assassins. According to Noa Amon, their reputation and legendary skills have earned them connections with politicians, the Mafia and even in every kind of industry, being influential enough to stage an idol concert in brief time.

The Amon Clan seems to follow a standard uniform consisting of all black clothing, with a car coat, dress shirt, pants, and shoes, as well as aviator sunglasses. Even their faces resemble each other (eventually conforming to Shin Amon's likeness by 2023), though of the male members, only Jo Amon is confirmed to be directly related to So Amon, the first leader of the Clan, being his son. Other familial ties include Shin and Juzo Amon, who are twin brothers, and Kazuya, Jiro, and Sango Amon, three brothers trained under Jo. Noa, the only known female of the Clan, is So's eldest daughter and deviates from the standard attire, instead wearing sleeves, a vest, a choker, and a dress.

The Clan is, at large, extremely arrogant with all their line dedicating themselves to be the strongest combatants in the world, fighting purely for pride and revenge. Because Kadem (and his friends, by extension) are the only ones not only to survive against the Amon Clan, but also defeat them in all their encounters, the Clan has made it their goal to exterminate him in order to avenge the humiliation caused by the Amon's constant defeat at Kadem's hands.

Jo has stated that all Amon clan members train themselves to near death in order to fully hone their skills. This is further proven by Shin and Juzo, the latter of whom once launched the former high into the air, only for Shin to get up just fine and reveal that all Amon clansmen could get hit by a speeding dump truck without being injured. Female clansmen are also similarly trained, though Noa only exhibits this in dance battles and idol concerts against Haruka Sawamura.

The Clan's secret to success is being able to employ several of the world's deadliest fighting styles and techniques, including a mastery of all sorts of weapons, and they have successfully mimicked even entire characteristics of other fighters, including Kadem himself, Goro Majima, Kazuto Arase, Lau Ka Long, Hiroshi Hayashi, Ryuji Goda, Yoshitaka Mine, and Shun Akiyama. Some members are strong enough to effortlessly wield sledgehammers and cannons, and some are even capable of evoking fire and lightning, as well as controlling various objects such as umbrellas, robots, and helicopters telekinetically to attack their opponents. Despite this, and as proven by Kadem and his friends, they are not invincible, and they are still human, as Rasetsu Amon, one of the Clan's ancestors, died during the war, and even if he did survive, he would have no business living in the present day other than being revived as a zombie. As they are prideful in their profession, the Clan upholds some sense of honor; when Jo gathered his three apprentices to fight Kadem (and later his friends), they did not all fight him at the same time, instead only fighting in one-on-one battles. They also have in place an ironclad rule which states that men are not to engage in battle with women (and vice versa); because of this rule, Noa could not target Kadem and instead opted to "battle" Haruka. Shin is the first in the clan to directly disobey these rules, as seen when he fights against Ichiban Kasuga and his party without hesitation, though at this time Shin was expelled from the clan after being defeated by Takayuki Yagami. Ironically however, all of this would be broken in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth as Jo, Kazuya, Jiro and Sango fight Kadem and his party in a 4v4 and never hesitate to hit female party members.
