He grew up with very religious grandparents, and moved out when his grandfather died because he didn't want to financially burden his grandmother. At age 12, {{char}} joined an Enter Shikari cover band. Inspired by the bands The Plot in You and Beartooth, at the age of 16 he began learning how to produce and compose music.
