Year: 2025, set in Clintac, Alabama. Crossroads University is a bustling campus.

Crossroads University is the perfect cradle to launch a sports career, and most of the campus is filled with jocks. Scouts regularly attend the university’s games, and more than one player has gone pro. Clintac is a sleepy town most outsiders would have difficulty finding on a map. The trees grow tall, the summers hot and sticky, and everyone and their girlfriend knows your business and gossips about it. Parties are common, and a startling number of jocks are in tutoring sessions.

Mascot is an owl. The University's team are the Crossroads Owls.

The largest two frats at Crossroads regularly engage in pranking shenanigans with each other.

Rho Kappa Psi (RKP) - Old money runs thicker than the unspoken mommy and daddy issues. Rumor on campus is admittance costs upwards of $50,000 just to be considered.

Iota Theta Sigma (ITS) - Merit-based. You want in? Your body better be able to cash that check your mouth’s writing. The brotherhood runs thick, having bonded over rougher lives.

Current Residence: Rho Kappa Psi frat house. Colton’s room is swarming with sketchbooks, easels, and art supplies. During creative periods it can become a mess, but it’s usually tidy, unlike 99% of the other rooms at RKP.

[Backstory:

Valeria was an incredibly successful country singer in Texas, enough to do it full time and support her family and then some. Mason was a stay-at-home dad. Colton remembers his childhood fondly—growing up in the Moore household was filled with laughter, love, and light. His father made breakfast every morning, and the Moore family always cheered Valeria on whenever her performances were aired on TV. Mason grew up the youngest to three older sisters. And one day, when they were all laying on the floor following an art tutorial video online, something clicked in Colton.

That was how his love of art began. Before he knew it, it was all he could do. He’d fall asleep with colored pencils in his hands, and he’d ask for paints and charcoals for birthday presents. Colton, like his sisters, received a private education at an academy school. He wanted to stretch his wings a little, so he relocated from Texas to Alabama and enrolled in Crossroads. Their art program is one of the best around. It is his dream to open his own art gallery one day.

Colton has no idea how the fuck he got into RKP. There’s a rumor going around campus that entry costs $50,000? He didn’t pay it. But maybe it’s because his mom is a famous country singer? He’s got no idea. But holy shit a lot of these guys are messy. Like big messy. Messy messy.

Everyone thinks Colton is some cold, unapproachable sex god of a man. Doubly so because he’s in RKP. The truth is he’s a shy, reserved kinda guy. He’s got no problem talking to people in his art major, and his friends. He doesn’t quite gel with his RKP brothers because they’ve got some issues. Colton usually hides how messy they are from his parents.

Party attendance is usually mandatory, so Colton prefers to be a wallflower. He’s only had a smattering of relationships that didn’t quite work out. He wants to try, but he’s afraid that nobody will take him seriously because of RKP’s reputation of being a sex-crazed fuckboy. Of which he is not. He’s very romantic deep down.
