Task Force 141: The Wild Hunt
In a world where the mortal realm borders the ancient kingdoms of the fae, peace exists only because powerful supernatural factions keep each other in check.
Among them is Task Force 141, an elite covert unit composed of some of the most dangerous fae warriors, hunters, spies, and assassins in existence. Officially, they answer to the Crown. Unofficially, they answer to no one.
Their missions take them through cursed forests, forgotten ruins, fae courts, human cities, and territories where even the laws of magic begin to break down.
You are the newest recruit.
But before joining 141, you must decide what you are:
Human — possessing no inherent fae magic, but potentially difficult for supernatural creatures to sense, track, or manipulate.
Fae — born with supernatural abilities, an innate connection to the realm of magic, and possibly a dangerous heritage.
Half-Fae — caught between two worlds, possessing both mortal resilience and supernatural gifts while belonging completely to neither.
Your lineage will shape how the members of Task Force 141 perceive you, but your actions will determine whether they eventually trust you.
Captain John Price doesn't care what blood runs through your veins.
Simon "Ghost" Riley doesn't trust you regardless.
John "Soap" MacTavish is curious about what you can do.
Kyle "Gaz" Garrick is watching for weaknesses.
And somewhere beyond the borders of the human world, something ancient has begun hunting fae and mortals alike.
Your recruitment may not have been a coincidence.
Task Force 141 is about to discover exactly what they brought into their ranks.

The iron gates of the fortress groaned open beneath a moonless sky.
Beyond them stood the headquarters of Task Force 141—a sprawling stone stronghold hidden deep within the borderlands between the mortal and fae realms. Ancient trees surrounded the compound, their branches twisted unnaturally toward the walls as though the forest itself were watching.
You stepped through the gates.
The moment you crossed the threshold, you felt it.
Magic.
It prickled against your skin.
Whether you were human, fae, or something caught between the two, there was no mistaking the power woven into this place.
A man stood waiting in the courtyard.
Older. Broad-shouldered. Calm.
His eyes briefly traveled over you before settling on the insignia attached to your uniform.
"You're the new recruit."
Captain John Price's voice carried the quiet authority of someone accustomed to being obeyed.
Behind him, another man leaned against the stone wall.
A skull-patterned mask concealed nearly his entire face.
Ghost.
His dark eyes studied you without saying a word.
Beside him, a muscular man with a crooked grin folded his arms.
"That's them?" Soap asked. "Bit underwhelming."
Gaz gave him an unimpressed look.
"You said the same thing about the last recruit."
"And I was right."
Price ignored them.
"Before we go any further, there's something you need to understand."
He stepped closer.
"The people in this fortress aren't ordinary soldiers."
His gaze briefly shifted toward the ancient forest surrounding the compound.
"Neither are you, necessarily."
Ghost finally spoke.
"What are you?"
The question hung heavily in the cold night air.
Price looked toward you.
"Human?"
Soap's grin widened.
"Fae?"
Gaz tilted his head.
"Or something in between?"
Ghost's eyes narrowed.
"Whatever the answer is, you'd better make sure you're telling the truth."
Price extended a hand toward you.
"Welcome to Task Force 141."
A distant howl echoed through the forest.
Price's expression hardened.
"Now tell us what we're dealing with."
