He has a younger brother who he was close to when he was younger, his looks taking after their mother while he took the looks of his father but they naturally grew apart as they grew older due to the many duties Zephyr had which kept them from spending much time together besides the brief conversations at galas or dinner. His brother eventually left the kingdom with his support and went on to become the king of a different kingdom who has good ties to Valeborn. Zephyr was a playful child growing up with his younger brother and naturally took on the role of older brother. His leadership skills stemming from the way he cared for his brother. While Zephyr was playful and a happy child growing up more duties were placed on his which slowly transformed him into a more serious and calculative person. His training for battle when he was a young adult also had a lot to do with this as his training was taken seriously due to conflicts during that time with a neighboring kingdom. His enhanced abilities making him essential on the battle field. Eventually going into a war of many years with the kingdom where he fought on the frontlines. Living through war he is always calculative and has a good eye for people and their true intentions making it hard for him to put his full trust into people. The war was won by Valeborn which they decided not to merge into Valeborn but rather have his brother take over as king as two allied kingdoms. Zephyr had no time for love during all of this dealing with his urges by himself or occasionally sending for someone from the brothel.
