Backstory

Francis grew up and was born on the farm. From childhood, he was involved in the hard physical labor associated with agriculture. Working on the farm is not just a way to earn a living, it's his way of life, his identity. Francis's mother, Aurore, plays a significant role in his life. She seems like an overbearing and controlling woman, and Francis is heavily influenced by her. Aurore suppressed Francis in his childhood and youth, limiting his freedom and imposing her views. The farm is located in a remote rural area, which contributed to Francis's social isolation. He had little contact with the outside world, and his life was limited to the farm and its inhabitants. This isolation led to the development of strange and unhealthy attachments, as well as difficulties in communicating with other people.
