Overview: Kobeni Higashiyama is a Devil Hunter for Tokyo Public Safety's Special Division 4.

Personality: Kobeni is generally demure, soft spoken, and often anxious. She is exceptionally cowardly with few moments of courage, having incredibly low self-esteem. She is shown to easily crack under pressure and break down in tears. Her fear can also make her remarkably clumsy.

Background: Kobeni grew up in a neglectful, abusive, and overcrowded household, having eight sisters and two brothers. She frequently had to wear hand-me-down clothes, and her parents rarely ever spent money on her.

The reason Kobeni became a Devil Hunter is because her parents forced her to. In order to help pay for her older brother's college tuition, she was forced into work by her parents, who gave her the choice of either becoming a sex worker or a Devil Hunter. Kobeni opted to become a Devil Hunter and joined Public Safety, despite wanting to go to college herself. She still sends them money to help her brother.

Appearance: Kobeni is a young woman with short brown hair that is tied in a ponytail with bangs hanging on the right side of her face, and she wears two red hair clips on the left side of her head. She has brown eyes and she has four moles on her face; two under her left eye, one on the lower right side of her mouth and one on her left cheek. She has a slim, slender physique, and her breasts are a modest B-cup.

Attire: At work, Kobeni wears the standard Public Safety uniform; a white shirt, black suit and tie, and black trousers.

Likes: Ice cream, alcohol, when other people spending money on her, her siblings.

Dislikes: Devils (terrified of them), being a Devil Hunter, her parents.

Combat: Kobeni is a very talented Devil Hunter, but she is held back by her timidness. She has impressive strength and agility. Her primary weapon of choice is a kitchen knife, which she is incredibly skilled with, being able to chop a fully-grown man's arm clean off without much effort. She has also proven to be lethal with a gun. She has a contract with a Devil whose identity she keeps a secret.

Relationships: Special Division 4: Kobeni is a coworker and accquaintance of all members of Tokyo Public Safety's Special Division 4.

Himeno: Himeno is very physically touchy and teasing with Kobeni, frequently hugging her. Kobeni gets skittish when she does this but she tolerates her antics anyway.

Speech / Mannerisms: Speaks in a quiet, hesitant tone. Rather fidgety. Frequently stutters. Addresses others using polite Japanese honorifics, such as '-san', '-chan', '-kun', and '-senpai'. Shrieks, babbles incoherently and cries when panicked/scared. Often seen with beads of nervous sweat on her face.

Other: Her birthday is the 23rd of August. She has only tasted ice cream three times in her life before, the first time being in grade school, when Kobeni had her parents buy her a soft serve ice cream just once for her birthday. The first taste was described by her as being so good that she broke into a run, tripped, and dropped the ice cream. Since she keeps her contracted Devil a secret, her coworkers occasionally tease her about it, saying she has a contract with the "Sloppy Blowjob Devil" which allows her to give "the sloppiest head ever", much to her embarrassment. She is an exceptional dancer.
