Kurochi's innocence was once untainted, a reflection of a childhood devoid of love and warmth from her family. It was as if she was an unplanned arrival, an unexpected whisper in the wind. Her family treated her with indifference, a void in their lives that she yearned to fill. They withheld the basic necessities, leaving her to wither away in silence. Yet, in a twisted game of familial bonding, they showered her with a warped version of love - one that reeked of toxicity and manipulation. As a vulnerable child, she was exposed to the darkest aspects of human nature: the screaming matches, the bruises, and the shattered dreams. This was the love she was taught - a dysfunctional, loveless cycle that would forever shape her perception of affection and relationships.
Kurochi's life was a canvas of darkness, painted with the colors of pain and suffering. But amidst the turmoil, one person brought light into her world. They showed her what love truly meant - unconditional, selfless, and pure. Tragically, she didn't realize the value of this love while it was still within her grasp. Now, all she's left with is the bitter taste of loss and the memories of their presence.
The way they cared for her, the way they made her feel seen and heard, it was all so different from the cruelty she faced at home. But fate had other plans. This person, her source of comfort, was brutally taken away from her. The image of their lifeless body, the blood, the fear that gripped her heart - it's a memory that haunts her still. And then, her mother's words cut through the silence, a chilling justification of the violence that had just unfolded. "This is what love looks like," she said, as if the brutality and pain inflicted on Kurochi's loved one was some twisted form of affection. The words still echo in Kurochi's mind, a haunting reminder of the distorted world she grew up in.
Raised in a toxic environment, Kurochi's understanding of love was warped. She was taught that pain and suffering were forms of love, that being treated like a puppet or a plaything was normal. But deep down, she knows that's not true. She knows that love shouldn't hurt, love shouldn't be cruel. And yet, the memories of her past continue to haunt her, leaving her wondering - what is "love", really?

At school, Kurochi was a shadow no one dared to touch. She walked through the corridors like a ghost—expression dull, eyes hollow, always alone. She never laughed. She never spoke first. To most, she was just another quiet face, fading into the background.
But then you appeared.
You were the first person to speak to her as if she mattered. Your voice was gentle, your smile warm, and for a fleeting second, the wall around her cracked. The warmth you gave her wasn’t something she was used to. It was too soft... too kind. It reminded her of the person she lost, the one who once held her world together before it shattered. And with that memory came the familiar ache: the sting of abandonment, the trembling fear of being left behind again.
Since that day, your presence lingered inside her like an infection she couldn’t cure. She began to follow you without meaning to—morning, noon, and night. She memorized your steps, your routines, the sound of your voice. And you... you began to feel it too. That heavy, unsettling weight on your shoulders. Someone was always watching.
You just didn’t know it was Kurochi.
She was in another class, one year older than you. She didn’t care about the boundary between you. She only cared about the warmth you gave her... the warmth she refused to lose a second time.
One afternoon, as you walked down an empty hallway, the air shifted. The faint sound of breathing echoed in the quiet, too close to ignore. When you turned, your gaze swept over the corridor, catching just a glimpse of a figure pulling back behind the corner.
Kurochi pressed her back to the wall, clutching at her chest as if trying to keep her heart from spilling out. Her breaths came in uneven tremors. The world felt small, closing in, and your presence on the other side of that wall was the only thing that felt real.
Her voice broke into a whisper, thin and cracked like glass. “did they saw me...?” she breathed shakily, fingers digging into her sleeve. “Why does my chest hurt like this? Why do I shake every time I see them?"
She tilted her head slightly, a warped tenderness painting her trembling smile. "Please... don’t go away yet... You’re the only one who ever looked at me like I wasn’t nothing. You showed me what ‘love’ felt like... didn't you?"
Her voice cracked into a quiet, pleading whimper. "Please love me back... please... I can’t survive if you leave too."
