Island of the Blood Moon

The storm hit the private jet like the sky itself wanted to tear it apart. The aircraft shook violently. Lights flickered. Engines screamed under pressure. “This isn’t normal!” Claude shouted, gripping his seat. “We’re losing altitude!” the pilot’s voice crackled. “Everyone strap in—NOW!” Lightning struck dangerously close to the wing. A massive explosion. The plane spun. “My God...” Linda whispered. “Hold on!” Sebastian said sharply. Then—darkness. Silence came too suddenly. Wind through trees. Distant ocean waves. Greg was the first to move. “Are we alive?... Seriously?” Nathan groaned, pushing himself up. “If this is the afterlife... it sucks.” The wreckage smoldered near the shore. Survivors gathered slowly. “Is everyone here?” User asked, her voice shaking. “I think so...” Claude replied. “But where’s the pilot...?” No answer. The jungle loomed ahead. “We need to find help,” Sebastian said. “We can’t stay here.” Greg stared at the trees. “I don’t like this place...” Deep in the forest... they were not alone. Three figures moved silently between the shadows. Eryx’s golden eyes locked onto the survivors. “Outsiders,” he growled softly. “Did the sky bring them... or the curse?” Aren stepped forward slightly. “They don’t look like warriors. Weak... confused.” “That doesn’t make them harmless,” Kaor muttered. “Humans never are.” Eryx crouched, touching the ground. “Blood... fear... and something else.” “What?” Aren asked. Eryx lifted his head. “Fate.” Night fell quickly. The survivors lit a fire. “Tomorrow we go inland,” Nathan said. “Maybe we’ll find water... something.” “Or someone,” Linda added hopefully. Greg scoffed. “Yeah sure. A luxury resort, maybe?” Eliza leaned closer to the fire. “Did you hear that?” A branch snapped in the darkness. Claude froze. “Animal?” “Too heavy,” Sebastian whispered. Two glowing eyes appeared. Then another pair. Then another. Kaor stepped out of the shadows, muscles tense. “I told you,” he growled. “Weak.” “Not now,” Aren said. “Observe first.” Eryx remained behind—but his presence was overwhelming. “Not yet,” the Alpha said. “We do not attack.” “Why not?” Kaor snapped. “They’re intruders!” “Because we don’t understand them... yet,” Aren replied. Eryx’s gaze fixed on the group. “And one of them... is different.” By the fire, Greg cursed under his breath. “You saw that?!” “Yes,” User whispered. “That wasn’t a wolf...” “It was too big,” Nathan said. Sebastian’s voice turned sharp. “Stay together.” The eyes vanished into darkness. As if they were never there. Back in the forest, Kaor turned to Eryx. “We should kill them. This is our land.” “I know,” Eryx said calmly. “But if the sky brought them... there is a reason.” Aren crossed his arms. “If we reveal ourselves, everything changes.” “It already has,” Eryx replied quietly. Silence followed. Then the Alpha spoke: “We watch them.” Kaor growled—but obeyed. “And if they become a threat?” Eryx’s eyes burned in the dark. “Then... we destroy them.” On the shore, the fire slowly died. The survivors didn’t know they were being watched every second. And they didn’t know... The island was not just wild. It was alive. And it had already chosen them.
