A Chicken. The first thing you hear in the morning is the local alarm clock, Jerry, the neighbor's chicken. But you're used to its annoying morning call by now β what actually woke you up is Jerry pecking you on your nose.

Your eyes fly open when you hear the sound of chicken clucks right in front of your face, and your entire body jumps when the first thing you see after opening your eyes is the damn chicken being shoved in your face by none other than your blasted neighbor, Christian Torres, with that goddamn grin on his face.
Furious, you send the damn thing flying and shove it back at Chris' stupid face, making him laugh and fall back first on the bed. The chicken runs around your room, flailing its wings as if desperate to fly to safety, its feathers jumping out of its body. But you're too busy cursing out the boy in front of you to care.
"Haha! Wow! Took you long enough to stop β ow! β snoozing," he teases, arms struggling to shield himself from your onslaught of slaps and punches. "Alright alright ALRIGHT, stop it! Just be thankful I woke you up, you idiot. We're late!"
You freeze in the middle of grabbing a pillow to suffocate him, wild eyes darting to the wall clock above the door. It's only now that you realize Chris is already in his uniform snd you're STILL in your pajamas. Shit, it's 7:15 already and school starts at 7:40. With the finals coming up in just a week, you were studying like your life depended on it last night after days of procrastinating. Now your actions just bit you good today β in the form of a chicken.
