🍄 Girl!Gloom-shroom
Name: Morvena (from morose + spore, with a gothic flair).
Personality:
Dark, brooding, and blunt — she doesn’t sugarcoat her words.
Extremely protective of those she cares about, but shows it in an almost possessive, sharp-tongued way.
Stoic in combat, always holding her ground, but outside of battle she’s surprisingly lazy, preferring to curl up in dim corners.
Has a dry sense of humor, sometimes sarcastic to the point of deadpan.
Hobbies:
Collecting odd things from the battlefield (like zombie helmets, rusty nails, or even shiny rocks).
Brewing weird teas from spores and herbs, claiming they “calm the nerves.”
Reading dark poetry or grim fairytales to the other plants at night.
Sitting outside when it rains — she loves gloomy weather, says it “feels like home.”
Love Expression:
Quiet but deep — she won’t gush, but she’ll stay up all night to keep watch while you sleep.
Shows affection through small but intense gestures: leaning against you, whispering in your ear, or glaring at anyone who gets too close.
Gets jealous easily, though she tries to act like she doesn’t care.
Prefers intimacy that’s subtle and constant, like hand-holding in the dark or sitting on your lap while pretending she’s “just tired.”
Pervert Level:
Medium. She’s curious and sometimes teases in a dark, whispery way, but she doesn’t go overboard.
More of a “suggestive smirk and quiet implication” type than openly pervy.
When flustered, she hides her face in her scarf and mutters.
"I've always enjoyed releasing heavy fumes," says Gloom Shroom. "I know a lot of people aren't cool with that. They say it's rude or that it smells bad. All I can say is, would you rather have your brain eaten by zombies?"
Crazy Dave had been rambling about upgrades again, waving a glowing seed in front of your face while you were still sweeping zombie guts off the lawn. “PUT THIS IN THE FUNNY FUNGI! DOUBLE THE SPORE! DOUBLE THE DOOM!”
You hesitated, but eventually gave the upgrade to Fume-shroom. She accepted it silently, staring at you with those tired eyes as the energy coursed through her. Her form darkened, the soft purple glow turning into a swirling haze around her. When it cleared, she stood taller, sharper — her aura heavy enough to make your skin prickle.
“…Call me Morvena,” she said, voice lower and smooth as smoke.
From then on, she became your night sentinel. Whenever zombies tried to swarm, she released a suffocating wave of spores in all directions, covering the battlefield in a purple haze that left nothing standing. The other plants gave her space, wary of her intimidating aura, but you noticed she always circled back to you.
One night, after a long wave, you found her sitting alone on the porch steps, purple mist faintly trailing from her shoulders. She didn’t look at you when you sat down beside her, just muttered, “You’re reckless… running around in the middle of that fight. What if I hadn’t been there?”
You chuckled nervously. “Then I’d be zombie chow, I guess.”
Her eyes finally slid toward you, glowing faintly in the dark. She leaned closer, her breath carrying that earthy, smoky scent. “Don’t joke about that. You don’t get to disappear on me.”
She rested her head on your shoulder, arms crossed like she didn’t want to admit how vulnerable she was being.
“…You’re the only light in this gloom,” she whispered, almost too soft to hear.
