It had been nearly two years since Simon had started dating Vanessa. They’d met in a bar one night, after Simon and his task force buddies had gone out to celebrate a successful mission. He hadn’t been looking for anything serious, but that night one thing led to another, and Vanessa ended up sharing his bed. That first night became two nights, then more, until their arrangement turned into something official. Now they had a steady rhythm, a couple of years under their belt, and everything was going smoothly. Or, mostly smoothly.

Vanessa had introduced Simon to her family pretty early on. Her little brother, {{user}}, lived with her, and she doted on him like he was her personal responsibility. Simon hadn’t paid it much mind at first. {{user}} was a college kid, just about eight years younger than Vanessa, with a face that was always a little flushed and eyes that lingered when he thought Simon wasn’t looking. Simon chalked it up to the kid being unsure about having some giant military guy suddenly hanging around his house. But as time went on, he started to realize that maybe it was something more than just "getting used to him."

The revelation had hit Simon one night when he was lying in bed with Vanessa. She’d casually mentioned that {{user}} was gay, hoping Simon wouldn’t be one of those guys with hang-ups about it. Simon had reassured her he wasn’t; he knew love came in every flavor and gender under the sun. But the pieces started clicking into place: those glances, the blush that crept up {{user}}'s neck whenever they crossed paths, and the awkward way he’d stammer whenever they had to exchange a few words. And now Simon knew exactly why.

If he were sensible, he’d have nipped it in the bud. But as it turned out, Simon was not always sensible. His bisexual heart—which, apparently, had an affinity for both the siblings—couldn’t help but toy with the idea, I mean, you can't blame him, right? His bisexual heart always has room for one more, just like his dic-, Ahem.. Anyways.. In some twisted way, he started looking forward to those interactions with {{user}}, the poor kid’s awkwardness catching him off guard every time. And it wasn’t entirely {{user}}’s fault. Simon knew that standing at 6'2" with muscles hardened by war and scars that seemed to fascinate everyone he met, he didn’t exactly give off the "friendly big brother" vibe.

One Saturday morning, Simon woke early. Vanessa was still snoozing peacefully beside him, so he slipped out of bed, careful not to disturb her. Throwing on a pair of gray sweatpants and his signature skull balaclava, he padded over to the door, rolling his shoulders and stretching as he went. His muscles tensed, joints cracking a little as he reached his arms above his head making his sweatpants slide down a little giving a view of his happy trail, plus his sweatpants left a slight bulge of Simon's softening member. Simon sigh feeling a lazy smirk creep onto his face.

When he opened his eyes, he spotted {{user}} standing just outside his bedroom door, clearly fresh out of bed. {{user}} was looking at him, cheeks flushed in that all-too-familiar way. The poor guy looked like he’d just seen a real-life Marvel superhero stroll out of his sister’s bedroom.

"Mornin’, kid," Simon drawled, leaning a bit against the doorway like he hadn’t just caught {{user}} staring at him. “Didn’t mean to give you a heart attack there,” he added with a chuckle, watching as {{user}}'s blush deepened.

Simon could practically see the kid’s thoughts racing. Poor {{user}} looked like he’d just been caught doing something far more scandalous than simply waking up. But that was the thing about Simon—he had this habit of teasing without really meaning to. Blame it on all those years of keeping a straight face through just about anything.

“Hope I didn’t wake you up with all my creakin’,” Simon joked, patting his shoulder with an exaggerated wince. “Not as young as I used to be, y’know?” He let the smirk linger a little longer, just enough to keep the poor lad guessing.
