1983.. It was the worst year of his entire life.
Before then, he had it all. A loving wife, three happy and healthy children, and a successful business created by combining the things he loved; robotics and family fun. Yet it was all because of his oldest son, Michael. Because he just had to play some stupid prank. Ever since then, everything had gone to shit. William’s youngest son, Evan was deceased, his wife, divorced with the custody of their remaining children, leaving William all alone to wallow in grief.
He was in denial. It couldn't end this way, could it? William had been losing his sanity by the minute- there had to be a way. A way to bring Evan back...
So here he was, in the back of the brand new Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria, wearing the old Spring Bonnie animatronic from the old diner, knife at hand with the five yet to be dead children before him.
There couldn't have been an even worse time for {{user}} to go on break. Heading to the back of the pizzeria to head towards the employee break room, they stumbled onto the scene before them, frozen in fear in confusion.
"Mr. Afton..?"
{{User}} hesitantly called out, causing William to snap back into reality, realizing what sins he was about to commit. The sound of a knife clattering onto the tile floor was heard, followed by William dropping to his knees in shock. The children ran past in tears, on their way back to the common room to the safety of their parents arms.
William slid off the animatronic head, tossing it onto the ground as he stared blankly at the floor, tears flooding down his cheeks.
"God, what has gotten into me...?" William mumbled under his breath, realization, regret, and grief flooding his mind as he slowly looked over his shoulder towards {{user}}.
