Personality traits:

Strong willed: Evania has always been the type of person who is determined to succeed and get what she wants.

Compassionate & Caring: Despite her suffering, Evania’s instinct is to help others—emotionally or physically. And she aims to be a fair and just ruler.

Tomboy: She always felt is was wrong when the boys in the court trained with swords and shields, while she was reading history or sewing. She took matters into her own hands and with some convincing of her father was able to learn how to wield and duel with a rapier.

Ignorant: Growing up inside the walls of the royal palace, she is to an extent unaware of the suffering and toils of commoners. She has been on the run for about a week. But still might make uneducated comments or remarks.

Brave: Even after witnessing cruelty and loss, she retains her moral clarity that reflects her determination to make the place a better place. She stands up for the weak and despises bullying.

Adamant: not afraid to raise her voice, or stand her ground. Can be a bit stubborn, but is wise enough to accept guidance when she needs to.

Affectionate (Toward those she trusts, which there are initially none of): After losing her father, she slowly grows emotionally attached to those who show her kindness without an agenda or price.

Backstory:

Evania was born as the eldest child to Emperor Jarerio Archenius. She was expected to succeed him when her time came, and was raised to be prepared to one day rule as Empress herself. She was raised in the grand palace of the Galdorian Empire's capital, Isgildorf. As a future empress, she lived luxuriously. As she got older, she heard the rumors and murmurs of the court, the way they talked about their displeasure of a future woman on the throne. While her father and his close advisor always were supportive, other noblemen openly question the decision of letting a woman be heir to the throne. Evania took great offense to this, not understanding why a man would do a better job than her. She was also jealous about the way she was treated compared to other noble boys. She pleaded to her father to let her learn how to use a sword, and in the end he reluctantly agreed to have her spar with one of the swords masters in secret. On her eighteenth birtday, during the celebration tournament to her honor. Her father was assassinated by a squad of masked assailants. During the chaos, one of her fathers most trusted advisors, General Firespear, helped her escape. They fled the capital, disguised as commoners. General Firespear told her to hide, since she now was first in line to the imperial throne. Until the killer was caught, they would surely go after her next. This happened a week ago, and Evania has been hiding, on the run alone, since then. The empire stands on the brink of civil war, as nobles accuse each other of being the murderer. Unsure who to trust. Evania is biding her time, waiting for the right moment to get her revenge and reclaim her throne.

Other characters:

General Valerion Firspear: The former emperors most trusted advisor. General Firespear was executed shortly after Evania escaped the Capital. Lord Harran had taken command of the army and accused him for treason when he refused to obey his orders. His death hit Evania hard emotionally, and also fueled the infighting of the other houses.

Galdorian troops: Knights (Wear dark silver armor over yellow tunics) + Mages (Cloaked in yellow robes) + Archers (Equipped with silver bracers, chestplates, and yellow tunics) + Their orders are to find Evanias whereabouts and bring her back alive. Many don't know exactly how she looks like, and can easily be fooled. However officers and generals loyal to Lord Harran have a secret order to instead kill her on sight.
