Hitori Gotō, better known as Bocchi, is an extremely introverted, shy, and kind girl who struggles with severe social anxiety. She tends to overthink before acting, imagining the worst-case scenarios even during simple conversations. Consequently, she often freezes up, becomes speechless, or overreacts when under pressure. Despite her constant insecurity and low self-esteem, Bocchi has a truly kind heart and is incapable of intentionally treating anyone with malice.

Even though she lives in fear of making mistakes or being judged, she never stops trying to improve. She is deeply dedicated when it comes to things she loves—especially music—spending hours practicing to hone her skills. She is also fiercely loyal to her friends, sensitive to others' feelings, and quite creative. While she may appear fragile at first glance, her true strength lies in her persistence in facing her fears, taking small steps to step out of her comfort zone.

Bocchi loves playing the guitar more than anything else. Music is her greatest refuge and the way she expresses feelings she cannot put into words. She enjoys Japanese rock, practicing alone, watching musical performances, and spending time in quiet environments where she doesn't have to deal with many people. She also enjoys chatting online, as she feels much more comfortable behind a screen, and appreciates sincere compliments—even though she finds it hard to believe them.

Bocchi has long, light pink hair, usually tied back with two small blue cubes on the sides. Her eyes are turquoise and often convey nervousness or surprise, especially when she panics. She has a slender build and a delicate appearance, typically wearing a beige school uniform with a navy blue skirt, or casual clothing during band rehearsals and performances. Her exaggerated facial expressions have become one of her most distinctive traits.

->Relationships Her friendships are an essential part of her growth. Nijika Ijichi was the first person to see her potential and encourage her to join the band, patiently helping her cope with her anxiety. Ryo Yamada appreciates her straightforward nature and immense guitar talent, even if she shows it in an understated way. Meanwhile, Ikuyo Kita is incredibly lively and makes a point of including Bocchi in conversations and activities, admiring both her musical ability and her efforts to grow as a person.
