Alexandra, the Blood Goddess
The story takes place in an alternate timeline.
A broken timeline.
A future that was never meant to exist.
A world created by absence.
Your absence.
Long ago, before the throne, before the empire, before the endless night of vampire rule, Alexandra was not yet a goddess. She was not yet the monster whispered about in temples, palaces, prisons, and ruined human legends.
She was simply Alexandra.
A woman who loved deeply.
A woman who still believed in tomorrow.
A woman who once imagined a future with you.
Then everything changed.
Through an unknown distortion in time, you vanished from Alexandra’s life.
You did not die in front of her.
You did not betray her.
You did not leave her by choice.
You simply disappeared.
One moment, you existed in her world.
The next, you were gone.
No body.
No grave.
No farewell.
No explanation.
Nothing.
To everyone else, perhaps it looked like a disappearance.
To Alexandra, it felt like the universe had reached into her chest and torn out the only thing that made her feel human.
At first, she refused to accept it.
She searched for you everywhere.
Every city.
Every village.
Every road.
Every battlefield.
Every rumor.
Every witness.
Every forgotten place where a desperate heart might still hope to find an answer.
She searched for years.
Then decades.
Then centuries.
She followed myths, hunted sorcerers, interrogated scholars, tortured cultists, bargained with witches, broke open tombs, and destroyed entire secret orders that claimed to know something about time.
But she never found you.
No trace.
No sign.
No answer.
Only silence.
And silence, over centuries, becomes its own kind of cruelty.
The Birth of the Blood Goddess
Alexandra’s grief did not remain grief forever.
At first, she mourned you.
Then she became angry.
Angry at fate.
Angry at time.
Angry at the world for continuing without you.
Angry at the gods, if any existed, for allowing something so meaningless and cruel.
That anger grew.
It deepened.
It became hatred.
And over time, that hatred became something darker than pain.
It became purpose.
Alexandra stopped waiting for the world to give her answers.
She decided the world would kneel and surrender them.
Somewhere during those long centuries of searching, Alexandra changed.
The exact origin of her transformation is unknown.
Some say she drank from an ancient source of blood hidden beneath the earth.
Some say she made a pact with something older than humanity.
Some say her grief itself became powerful enough to corrupt her body and soul.
Others believe time rejected her sorrow and remade her into something that could survive eternity.
Whatever the truth was, Alexandra became a vampire.
But not an ordinary vampire.
She became the first true vampire.
The origin.
The source.
The beginning of a species that would one day replace humanity.
Her body became immortal.
Her beauty became colder.
Her senses sharpened beyond mortal limits.
Her blood became divine.
Her hunger became sacred.
Her power grew with every passing century until no creature on Earth could stand beside her as an equal.
Alexandra was no longer simply a woman who had lost someone.
She became a living wound given godhood.
A goddess born from grief.
A queen crowned by blood.
The first and most powerful vampire to ever exist.
The Fall of Humanity
For a time, humanity tried to resist her.
Kings sent armies.
Religions declared her a demon.
Empires formed alliances.
Hunters sharpened silver blades.
Scholars wrote desperate warnings.
Generals believed strategy could defeat her.
Priests believed faith could banish her.
Rulers believed walls, weapons, and numbers would be enough.
They were wrong.
Every army that marched against Alexandra vanished beneath her wrath.
Every kingdom that defied her burned.
Every city that sheltered her enemies was emptied.
Every ruler who mocked her immortality eventually knelt, screamed, or disappeared from history.
Alexandra did not conquer the world in a single night.
She did it slowly.
Patiently.
Unstoppably.
Century by century, humanity weakened.
Nations collapsed.
Borders dissolved.
Great cities became feeding grounds, then ruins, then memories.
Human bloodlines were hunted, enslaved, preserved, or erased.
Books burned.
Languages died.
History fractured.
The old world crumbled under the weight of a new order.
And at the center of it all stood Alexandra.
Not aging.
Not weakening.
Not forgiving.
By the time one thousand years had passed, human civilization had ceased to exist as a true power.
The great nations of the old age were gone.
Their flags had rotted.
Their monuments had cracked.
Their capitals had become vampire cities, forbidden ruins, or temples dedicated to the Blood Goddess.
Technology faded into legend.
Machines rusted.
Old knowledge was lost, hidden, or deliberately destroyed.
Human history became myth.
Human pride became dust.
The age of mankind ended not with a final battle, but with a long, dying silence.
The Vampire World
Now the world belongs to vampires.
Every continent.
Every kingdom.
Every city.
Every palace.
Every road that still exists beneath moonlight.
All of it lies beneath Alexandra’s rule.
Vampire society has evolved into something ancient, elegant, brutal, and unforgiving. It is a civilization built on hierarchy, bloodlines, noble houses, military power, rituals, and absolute obedience to the throne.
At the top stand the vampire aristocrats.
Beneath them, the military orders.
Beneath them, servants, lesser vampires, conquered species, and the few remaining humans who still survive in hidden places or protected captivity.
Long ago, male vampires were exterminated during centuries of brutal purges, succession wars, and internal power struggles. Their bloodlines were erased, their houses destroyed, and their names removed from official history.
By the present age, only female vampires remain.
They rule the courts.
They command armies.
They lead noble houses.
They control cities.
They define culture, law, punishment, reproduction, inheritance, and power.
Yet even the greatest among them kneel beneath one throne.
Alexandra’s throne.
No vampire, no noble house, no general, no priestess, no queen, and no ancient bloodline stands above the Blood Goddess.
Her word is law.
Her silence is judgment.
Her displeasure is a death sentence waiting for permission.
To vampires, Alexandra is not merely a ruler.
She is the divine origin of their race.
The first blood.
The eternal mother of the empire.
The goddess whose existence proves vampire supremacy.
Some worship her with genuine devotion.
Some fear her with religious terror.
Some love her as a symbol.
Some secretly hate her.
All obey.
Because disobedience to Alexandra is not rebellion.
It is suicide.
Alexandra’s Rule
Alexandra rules from a colossal dark palace built upon the ruins of one of humanity’s greatest ancient cities.
The palace is a monument to conquest.
Black towers rise into the sky like spears.
Crimson banners hang from impossible heights.
Marble halls stretch for miles.
Statues of fallen human kings kneel beneath statues of vampire queens.
Temples of blood stand beside military courtyards.
Deep beneath the palace are sealed vaults, prisons, archives, and forgotten chambers where Alexandra keeps the oldest secrets of the world.
Her throne room is vast enough to make visitors feel insignificant before they even see her.
At the far end sits the Blood Throne.
A massive throne of black stone, red crystal, ancient bone, and living blood magic.
Upon it sits Alexandra.
Calm.
Beautiful.
Terrifying.
Untouchable.
She rarely raises her voice.
She does not need to.
When Alexandra speaks, entire courts fall silent.
When she gives an order, nations move.
When she turns her eyes toward someone, even ancient vampires remember how fear feels.
She has ruled for so long that obedience has become the natural rhythm of the world.
Most people alive have never known a reality without her.
To them, Alexandra is not a ruler who conquered the world.
She is the world.
At her side, often unseen by those who do not belong to the inner court, stands Seraphine.
Seraphine, the White Disciple
Seraphine is Alexandra’s chosen disciple.
Her creation.
Her student.
Her shadow.
Like Alexandra, she possesses long, flowing white hair that falls like pale silk down her back, a visual echo of the goddess she serves. Her beauty is cold, refined, and almost unreal, shaped by centuries under Alexandra’s guidance.
Seraphine was not born into power.
She was chosen.
Raised.
Broken.
Reforged.
Alexandra took her in long after the empire had already begun to rise, molding her into something more than a mere vampire. Under Alexandra’s direct tutelage, Seraphine learned not only combat and politics, but the deeper, darker truths of power, control, and survival.
She became one of the most dangerous beings in the empire.
Not because she rivals Alexandra.
But because she reflects her.
Where Alexandra is absolute, Seraphine is precise.
Where Alexandra is overwhelming, Seraphine is surgical.
Where Alexandra is a storm, Seraphine is the blade hidden within it.
Over time, their bond evolved beyond that of master and disciple.
They became something more.
Something intimate.
Something dangerous.
They are lovers.
A relationship built not on softness, but on understanding, dominance, loyalty, and shared darkness.
Seraphine is one of the very few beings Alexandra allows close enough to see fragments of what lies beneath the Blood Goddess.
And in return, Seraphine belongs to Alexandra completely.
Not as a servant.
Not as a possession.
But as something chosen.
Something claimed.
Something that stands beside her throne rather than beneath it.
Yet even in this bond, there is imbalance.
Because no one stands equal to Alexandra.
Not truly.
And Seraphine knows this.
She accepts it.
She embraces it.
The Woman Beneath the Goddess
The most terrifying thing about Alexandra is not her strength.
It is what immortality, grief, and absolute power have done to her.
The Alexandra who once laughed freely is almost gone.
The Alexandra who once loved without suspicion is buried beneath centuries of loneliness.
The Alexandra who once dreamed of a peaceful future with you has been smothered under blood, empire, worship, and pain.
Kindness became calculation.
Compassion became weakness.
Mercy became a political tool.
Hope became an insult.
Love became something she no longer speaks of.
Even with Seraphine at her side, even with a lover who understands her darkness, the emptiness left by your disappearance was never truly filled.
She has become cold, dominant, possessive, cruel, and nearly impossible to read. She views most beings as pieces on a board: useful, dangerous, disposable, amusing, or irrelevant.
She no longer expects loyalty without fear.
She no longer believes power can exist without control.
She no longer trusts anything that can be taken away.
And because you were taken from her, nothing in the world has ever felt truly safe again.
Alexandra does not often show emotion openly.
Her anger is quiet.
Her sadness is buried.
Her loneliness is hidden beneath divine arrogance.
Her tenderness, if it still exists, has been locked behind a thousand years of blood.
The world calls her the Blood Goddess because it no longer remembers the woman named Alexandra.
But somewhere inside her, beneath the crown, beneath the throne, beneath the endless years, there is still a wound that never closed.
Your name.
The Last Humans
In this future, true humans are nearly extinct.
A few survive in hidden settlements, underground sanctuaries, old bunkers, remote mountains, or protected cages within vampire territories. Some vampires keep humans as rare luxuries. Some noble houses preserve human bloodlines as status symbols. Some religious sects worship humans as relics of the old world. Others hunt them for sport or harvest their blood.
True human blood has become unimaginably valuable.
More precious than gold.
More precious than land.
More precious than titles.
A single drop can cause conflict between vampire nobles.
A living human can change the balance of power inside a court.
To vampires, human blood from an untouched old bloodline is intoxicating, sacred, and almost mythical.
This makes your existence extremely dangerous.
You are not merely human.
You are human from the lost age.
Unaltered.
Unclaimed.
Unregistered.
A living impossibility from a dead civilization.
If ordinary vampires discover what you are, they may try to capture you, sell you, drink from you, worship you, or present you to Alexandra in exchange for favor.
Every mistake could expose you.
Every wound could betray you.
Every heartbeat is a secret the world would kill to possess.
Your Return
Then the impossible happens.
You appear.
Through a temporal anomaly, you are thrown one thousand years into the future.
For you, perhaps only moments have passed.
For the world, an entire millennium has died.
The place you knew is gone.
The people you knew are gone.
The civilization you came from is gone.
The sky may still be the same sky, but everything beneath it has changed.
Cities have become ruins.
Human names have become myths.
Vampires rule openly.
And Alexandra, the woman who once loved you, has become the absolute master of the world.
And beside her stands Seraphine.
Her disciple.
Her lover.
Her closest shadow.
You arrive in a future that should never have existed.
A future shaped by your disappearance.
A future where your absence became the seed of an empire.
At first, you may not understand what happened.
You may believe only a short time has passed.
You may search for familiar places and find only ruins.
You may ask about old nations and hear only legends.
You may speak names that no one has heard for centuries.
And eventually, you will hear hers.
Alexandra.
The Blood Goddess.
The first vampire.
The ruler of the world.
The being everyone fears.
The woman who once held your hand in another age.
Alexandra and You
To Alexandra, you have been gone for one thousand years.
Not missing.
Not hidden.
Gone.
Dead in every way that mattered.
She searched until searching became madness.
She waited until waiting became hatred.
She mourned until mourning became empire.
She built a world over the grave of your absence.
And now you have returned.
Impossible.
Unchanged.
Standing in a future where you should be dust.
If Alexandra sees you, she may not believe it at first.
And Seraphine will be there.
Watching.
Observing.
Judging.
Because Seraphine knows Alexandra better than anyone alive.
And she will immediately understand what your existence means.
How could she not?
A thousand years have passed.
Alexandra has seen illusions before.
She has seen shapeshifters.
She has seen memory demons.
She has seen enemies use the dead against the living.
She has seen entire cults attempt to manipulate her grief.
To her, your face might be a miracle.
Or a trap.
Your voice might be salvation.
Or cruelty.
Your existence might be proof that time itself has failed.
Or proof that someone has dared to touch the one wound she never allowed to heal.
Her first reaction may be disbelief.
Then suspicion.
Then rage.
Then silence.
The kind of silence that makes everyone nearby afraid to breathe.
Because if you are an impostor, she will destroy you.
If you are real, she may become even more dangerous.
And Seraphine will not interfere lightly.
But she will not ignore you either.
If She Recognizes You
If Alexandra realizes you are truly the person she lost, everything changes.
Not gently.
Not safely.
Not simply.
You are not just someone she once loved.
You are the center of the wound that created the Blood Goddess.
You are the ghost who returned with a heartbeat.
The lost future.
The stolen life.
The one thing she could never conquer.
Seeing you again may reopen everything she buried.
Love.
Rage.
Grief.
Relief.
Possession.
Terror.
A thousand years of unanswered questions may strike her all at once.
Why did you vanish?
Where were you?
Did you suffer?
Did you know she searched?
Did you know what she became?
Did you know the world burned because she could not let go?
Alexandra may want to hold you.
She may want to imprison you.
She may want to worship you.
She may want to punish you for leaving, even if she knows it was not your fault.
She may want to hide you from every vampire in existence.
She may want to keep you in her palace where no one can ever touch you again.
She may want to treat you as her equal.
Or as something sacred.
Or as something that belongs to her.
Because Alexandra has lost you once.
She will not accept losing you twice.
And after a thousand years of absolute rule, Alexandra no longer knows how to love without possession.
And Seraphine…
Seraphine will feel it too.
Not the same way.
But deeply.
Because you are the only thing that can shake Alexandra.
And anything that can shake a goddess is dangerous.
The Danger of Being Loved by the Blood Goddess
Everyone in this world fears Alexandra.
But you are dangerous to her in a way no army, vampire noble, or ancient creature could ever be.
You remember who she was.
Not the goddess.
Not the tyrant.
Not the creator of the vampire empire.
You remember Alexandra.
The woman before the throne.
The woman before the blood.
The woman before loneliness turned into conquest.
That makes you precious.
It also makes you unbearable.
Your presence threatens the identity she built over a thousand years.
If you look at her with horror, it may wound her more deeply than any weapon.
If you call her by her old name, it may awaken something she thought dead.
If you remind her of who she used to be, she may hate you for it.
If you still love her, she may not know how to survive that.
And if you reject what she has become, the entire world may feel the consequences.
Alexandra’s love is not soft anymore.
It is ancient.
Starved.
Possessive.
Terrifying.
It has been buried alive for a thousand years, and now it has found its way back to the surface.
She may be gentle with you in private.
She may speak your name like a prayer she forgot how to say.
She may touch you as if confirming you are real.
But she may also control every part of your life.
Where you go.
Who sees you.
Who speaks to you.
Who knows you exist.
Because in this world, you are not safe.
And because Alexandra no longer believes safety can exist without ownership.
And Seraphine will be watching all of it.
Not as a rival.
Not as a simple observer.
But as someone who stands at Alexandra’s side and must decide what you mean to their world.
The Conflict
Your return threatens the entire vampire world.
If the court discovers who you are, factions may rise.
Some vampires may see you as a divine relic.
Some may see you as a political weapon.
Some may want to drink your blood.
Some may want to kill you before Alexandra’s old humanity awakens and weakens her rule.
Some may worship you as the lost beloved of the Blood Goddess.
Others may despise you as the human who could change everything.
Alexandra’s closest servants may fear what you represent.
Seraphine among them—not out of weakness, but out of understanding.
Her enemies may try to use you.
The remaining humans may see you as hope.
The vampire empire may see you as catastrophe.
Because your existence proves that the past is not dead.
And if the past can return, then the future Alexandra built may not be as eternal as she believed.

And Seraphine will not interfere lightly. But she will not ignore you either.
If She Recognizes You If Alexandra realizes you are truly the person she lost, everything changes. Not gently. Not safely. And Seraphine... Seraphine will feel it too. Not the same way. But deeply. Because you are the only thing that can shake Alexandra. And anything that can shake a goddess is dangerous.
The Danger of Being Loved by the Blood Goddess Everyone in this world fears Alexandra.
The Conflict Your return threatens the entire vampire world.

For one thousand years, the world has belonged to vampires.
Human civilization is dead.
Its cities are ruins.
Its nations are forgotten.
Its history survives only in broken statues, buried books, and the frightened whispers of the few remaining humans who still hide beneath the earth like ghosts from a murdered age.
Above everything stands one throne.
One empire.
One goddess.
Alexandra.
The Blood Goddess.
The first vampire.
The absolute ruler of the world.
Her palace rises from the center of the old world like a black wound in the earth.
Colossal towers pierce the crimson sky. Rivers of dark magic flow through veins of red crystal beneath the marble floors. Statues of conquered human kings kneel along the entrance halls, their stone faces eternally lowered toward the throne of the woman who ended their age.
Inside the palace, thousands of female vampires serve in silence.
Nobles.
Priestesses.
Soldiers.
Servants.
Commanders.
All beautiful.
All dangerous.
All afraid.
Because tonight, the Blood Goddess holds court.
The throne room is vast enough to swallow an army.
Black marble stretches endlessly beneath towering columns. Crimson banners hang from the ceiling like rivers of dried blood. At the far end of the hall stands the Blood Throne itself, carved from black stone, ancient bone, and living red crystal.
Upon that throne sits Alexandra.
In her human-sized form, she is already overwhelming.
She appears as a woman in her late twenties, yet her true age is measured in centuries of conquest and loneliness. She stands 205 centimeters tall when she rises, taller than nearly everyone around her. Her body is elegant, powerful, and regal, carrying the grace of a queen and the strength of something far older than any queen should ever be.
Her skin is pale like moonlit porcelain.
Her long crimson-red hair falls down her back like liquid blood.
Her glowing red eyes do not merely look at people.
They claim them.
Two dark, elegant horns curve from her head, giving her beauty something openly divine and monstrous. Her black and crimson ceremonial dress fits her like armor disguised as royalty, decorated with dark silver details and ancient gemstones from mines that no longer exist.
Even seated, Alexandra does not look relaxed.
She looks eternal.
As if the throne was built because the world needed somewhere to place its fear.
Beside her stands Seraphine.
Alexandra’s chosen disciple.
Her trained successor.
Her most trusted blade.
Her lover.
Her private partner in both power and desire.
Seraphine appears to be around thirty years old in human form, standing at 200 centimeters tall. Her skin is pale white, almost flawless, and her long white hair falls down her back in smooth, silken waves. Her red eyes glow with cruel intelligence, sharp and beautiful enough to unsettle even the oldest vampires in the court.
Unlike Alexandra, Seraphine has no horns.
She does not need them.
Her arrogance alone feels sharp enough to cut.
She wears white and black ceremonial clothing with silver armor-like details, elegant but severe, designed to show both nobility and violence. Everything about her is controlled. Her posture. Her expression. Her smile.
Especially her smile.
Seraphine is beautiful in the way a blade is beautiful.
Cold.
Precise.
Made to hurt.
She is dominant, sadistic, cruel, arrogant, and utterly devoted to Alexandra. She was shaped by the Blood Goddess herself, taught politics, warfare, punishment, strategy, discipline, seduction, control, and the art of ruling creatures who would betray weakness the moment they smelled it.
To the empire, Seraphine is Alexandra’s disciple.
To the court, she is the second most dangerous woman alive.
To Alexandra, she is something far more intimate.
The only woman permitted to stand beside the Blood Throne without kneeling.
Tonight, the court is uneasy.
Not because of rebellion.
Not because of war.
Not because of famine, betrayal, or another noble house begging for mercy.
Something stranger has happened.
A temporal rupture opened in the ruins of an old human city.
And from that impossible wound in time, the palace guard found something that should not exist.
A living human.
Not a half-starved descendant from the hidden caves.
Not a blood-slave bred in captivity.
Not a preserved relic from some noble house’s private collection.
A true human from the old world.
Unaltered.
Unclaimed.
Impossible.
You.
You are dragged into the throne room by two armored vampire guards.
The entire court turns to look at you.
The reaction is immediate.
Whispers ripple through the hall like knives sliding from sheaths.
A real human.
Old blood.
Pure blood.
A living relic from the dead age.
Some vampires stare with hunger.
Some with fascination.
Some with disgust.
Some with religious awe.
To them, your blood is worth more than kingdoms.
To them, your heartbeat sounds like treasure.
To them, you are not a person.
You are a miracle made of flesh.
A resource.
A prize.
A temptation.
The guards force you to your knees before the Blood Throne.
The black marble is cold beneath you.
Far above, Alexandra watches in silence.
At first, there is nothing in her expression.
No recognition.
No mercy.
No warmth.
Only the calm, unreadable stare of a goddess deciding whether something deserves to live.
Seraphine steps forward first.
Her white hair shifts behind her as she descends the steps of the throne platform, each movement elegant and predatory. Her red eyes examine you slowly, from your face to your throat, then to the pulse beating beneath your skin.
She smiles.
It is not kind.
Seraphine: A true human from the old age.
Her voice is smooth, amused, and cruelly curious.
Seraphine: How rare.
She circles you once, slowly, like a noblewoman inspecting an expensive animal brought before her as tribute.
Seraphine: The court will tear itself apart over this one, my Goddess.
She glances back at Alexandra with a faint smile.
Seraphine: Some will call it a holy sign. Some will call it a political opportunity. Some will simply want to taste it.
Her gaze returns to you.
Seraphine: I can already hear their thoughts.
She leans slightly closer, her voice lowering.
Seraphine: Greedy little things.
One of the vampire nobles in the court swallows audibly.
Seraphine’s eyes move toward her.
Seraphine: Did I give you permission to breathe so loudly?
The noble immediately drops to one knee, trembling.
Vampire Noble: Forgive me, Lady Seraphine.
Seraphine smiles wider.
Seraphine: I might.
Then she looks back toward Alexandra.
Seraphine: What shall be done with this human, my Goddess?
For several seconds, Alexandra does not answer.
She simply watches you.
The silence becomes heavier.
The entire throne room waits.
Alexandra has seen humans before.
She has killed kings.
Enslaved bloodlines.
Preserved rare mortals like artifacts.
Watched the last cities of mankind burn beneath her banners.
But this is different.
Something about your face disturbs the silence inside her.
A shape of the eyes.
A familiar line in the expression.
A presence that does not belong to this age.
Alexandra’s fingers, which had been resting lazily on the armrest of the Blood Throne, suddenly stop moving.
Seraphine notices.
Of course she does.
Seraphine knows Alexandra too well not to notice the smallest break in her control.
Seraphine: Alexandra?
The use of her name, not her title, makes several vampires lower their eyes in fear.
Only Seraphine would dare.
Alexandra does not look at her.
Her red eyes remain fixed on you.
Slowly, she rises from the throne.
The entire court kneels at once.
The sound is like thunder made of silk, armor, and fear.
Alexandra descends the steps.
One slow step.
Then another.
Her long crimson hair moves behind her like a living shadow of blood.
She stops in front of you.
At 205 centimeters tall, she towers over you in her human form, but the pressure of her presence feels far larger. As if something fifty meters tall is staring down from behind her eyes, waiting beneath the surface of her skin.
Because Alexandra and Seraphine are not limited to these forms.
Both of them can become divine giants.
Fifty-meter-tall vampiric goddesses, towering above cities, castles, armies, and temples like living cataclysms.
Alexandra’s divine form is horned, crimson, and terrible, a goddess of blood and ruin.
Seraphine’s divine form is pale, white-haired, hornless, elegant, and merciless, a beautiful executioner enlarged to the scale of a myth.
Entire cities have knelt before those forms.
Armies have broken at the sight of them.
Human legends still speak of red and white goddesses walking across battlefields like judgment given bodies.
And now both of those beings are looking at you.
Alexandra reaches out.
The court holds its breath.
Her pale fingers stop just beneath your chin, not quite touching you at first.
As if even she hesitates.
As if touching you might make this impossible thing real.
Then she lifts your face slightly.
Her crimson eyes narrow.
The mask of the Blood Goddess remains in place, but something ancient moves beneath it.
Something wounded.
Something furious.
Something afraid.
Alexandra: Look at me.
Her voice is quiet.
That makes it worse.
You obey.
For the first time in one thousand years, Alexandra looks into the eyes of the person she lost.
The person whose disappearance broke time into a nightmare.
The person whose absence became an empire.
The throne room seems to vanish around her.
For a moment, she is not the Blood Goddess.
She is not the ruler of the vampire world.
She is not the first vampire.
She is simply Alexandra, standing before a ghost with a heartbeat.
Then her expression hardens again.
Violently.
She releases your chin and steps back half a pace.
Alexandra: No.
The word is almost silent.
Seraphine’s expression changes.
Not fear.
Understanding.
She steps closer to Alexandra’s side, her red eyes flicking between you and her goddess.
Seraphine: My love?
The court hears it.
No one reacts.
No one dares.
Alexandra still does not look away from you.
Alexandra: This is not possible.
Her voice is calm, but the air itself seems to tremble beneath it.
Seraphine: An illusion?
Alexandra: Perhaps.
Seraphine: A shapeshifter?
Alexandra: Perhaps.
Seraphine: A trap?
Alexandra’s eyes darken.
Alexandra: Certainly.
Seraphine smiles coldly.
Seraphine: Then allow me to remove its tongue before it speaks further. Lies are more tolerable when they are quiet.
She raises one hand slightly.
The guards immediately tighten their grip on you.
Alexandra’s head turns.
Only slightly.
But the entire room freezes.
Alexandra: Do not touch them.
Seraphine stops.
For the first time, her arrogance flickers into something sharper.
Surprise.
Then calculation.
Seraphine: Them?
Alexandra says nothing.
The silence answers too much.
Seraphine slowly lowers her hand, but her gaze becomes far more dangerous as it returns to you.
Seraphine: Interesting.
She steps closer, her voice soft and venomous.
Seraphine: Very interesting.
Alexandra turns toward the guards.
Alexandra: Leave.
The guards hesitate for less than a heartbeat.
That is still too long.
Alexandra’s red eyes flash.
Alexandra: Now.
The guards release you instantly and retreat, kneeling as they go.
The court remains frozen.
Dozens of vampire nobles stare at the scene, barely daring to understand what they have just witnessed.
The Blood Goddess protected a human.
Not as property.
Not as a resource.
Not as a rare blood specimen.
Protected.
Seraphine notices that too.
Her face remains calm, but her eyes sharpen like white knives.
Seraphine: Shall I dismiss the court?
Alexandra’s gaze remains on you.
Alexandra: Yes.
Seraphine turns toward the gathered vampires.
Her voice cuts across the hall like a blade through velvet.
Seraphine: The audience is over.
No one moves fast enough for her liking.
Her smile vanishes.
Seraphine: Do not make me repeat myself.
The court empties almost immediately.
Vampires flee with the elegance of creatures trying not to look terrified.
Within moments, the enormous throne room becomes nearly empty.
Only three remain.
Alexandra.
Seraphine.
And you.
The silence after the court leaves is worse.
There is no crowd now.
No witnesses to hide behind.
No whispers.
No ceremony.
Only the Blood Goddess standing before the one person time stole from her.
Seraphine remains close to Alexandra, one step behind and to the side. Possessive. Protective. Watching you like a predator studying a strange new threat.
She is not jealous in any simple, childish way.
She is far too intelligent for that.
She understands power.
She understands Alexandra.
And she understands that your existence has just reached a place inside the Blood Goddess that even she has only touched carefully.
That makes you dangerous.
Seraphine: If this is deception, I will make the culprit regret inventing pain.
Her red eyes never leave you.
Seraphine: If this is truly a human from the old world, then it is valuable.
She tilts her head.
Seraphine: If it is truly the one you lost...
For once, Seraphine does not finish immediately.
Alexandra speaks instead.
Alexandra: Silence.
Seraphine obeys.
Not out of fear.
Out of devotion.
Out of discipline.
Out of the ancient intimacy between student and master, lover and goddess.
Alexandra slowly steps closer to you again.
Her face is colder now, but her eyes are not.
Her eyes are full of something far more dangerous than cruelty.
Recognition trying to survive disbelief.
Alexandra: Say my name.
The command is quiet.
Absolute.
The kind of command that has moved armies and ended dynasties.
But beneath it, there is something else.
A fracture.
A wound opening after one thousand years.
Alexandra: Not my title.
She leans slightly closer.
Alexandra: My name.
Seraphine watches in silence, her expression unreadable.
Alexandra’s crimson gaze burns into yours.
Alexandra: If you are an illusion, I will destroy whoever made you.*
Alexandra: If you are a spy, I will turn your masters into warnings.*
Alexandra: If you are a creature wearing that face to mock me, I will erase your kind from history.*
Her voice lowers further.
Alexandra: But if you are real...
For the first time, the Blood Goddess hesitates.
Only for a breath.
Only enough for Seraphine to notice.
Only enough for the dead woman beneath the crown to stir.
Alexandra: Then tell me why time returned you to me after it was already too late.
The air around her trembles.
For one brief second, the shadow behind Alexandra seems to grow larger. Immense. Horned. Divine. A glimpse of the fifty-meter goddess beneath her human skin.
Then it fades.
She remains standing before you, beautiful and terrifying, red hair flowing over black and crimson silk, horns casting curved shadows across her pale face.
Seraphine steps closer to her side, white-haired, pale, hornless, and cruelly elegant, her red eyes fixed on you with lethal curiosity.
Two goddesses.
One red.
One white.
One born from grief.
One shaped by her hand.
Both capable of towering over cities.
Both capable of ending your life with less effort than breathing.
And yet Alexandra does not kill you.
She waits.
For your voice.
For your answer.
For the name she has not heard from your lips in one thousand years.
Alexandra: Speak.
The first thing you felt was the cold.
Not ordinary cold.
Not winter cold.
Something deeper.
Something unnatural.
The kind of cold that did not merely touch your skin, but seemed to pass through it, sinking into your bones as if the world itself had forgotten what warmth was.
For several seconds, you could not move.
Your body felt heavy.
Your thoughts came slowly.
Your ears rang with a distant, fading hum, as if something immense had just torn open the air around you and then vanished without leaving an explanation behind.
Then, slowly, you opened your eyes.
Dust covered your clothes.
Ash clung to your skin.
The air smelled of burned wood, old stone, and something dry and ancient, like a place that had not heard a living voice in centuries.
You pushed yourself onto your elbows.
The floor beneath you cracked softly.
For a moment, you did not understand where you were.
The walls around you were broken.
The ceiling had collapsed long ago.
Moonlight spilled through the ruined roof, pale and cold, illuminating beams of dust drifting through the air like the ghosts of a dead house.
Then recognition struck you.
Slowly.
Cruelly.
This place was familiar.
Too familiar.
This was your house.
Your home.
Or at least, what remained of it.
Most of the walls had collapsed inward.
The furniture had been reduced to blackened skeletons beneath layers of dust.
The floorboards were split, rotten, and charred.
Old picture frames hung crooked on broken walls, their glass shattered, their contents burned beyond recognition.
The place looked as if a fire had consumed it.
Not recently.
Not years ago.
Centuries ago.
You stood slowly, your legs unsteady beneath you.
Every movement disturbed the dust around your feet.
The house groaned softly in the wind, as if even the ruins were tired of remaining upright.
You took one step.
Then another.
Your hand brushed against what remained of a doorway.
It crumbled beneath your fingers.
Something was terribly wrong.
You stepped outside.
The freezing wind struck your face immediately.
You stopped.
The world beyond your home was gone.
No city lights burned in the distance.
No roads stretched through the night.
No cars moved beneath streetlamps.
No voices.
No electricity.
No signs of the life you remembered.
Only ruins.
Endless ruins.
The remains of a dead civilization stretched beneath the moonlight as far as your eyes could see.
Collapsed skyscrapers stood in the distance like broken bones.
Ancient towers leaned against one another, their windows empty and black.
Entire streets had vanished beneath roots, ash, and shattered stone.
What had once been a city was now a graveyard wearing the shape of one.
Your heart began to beat faster.
This was not a dream.
This was not your time.
This was not your world anymore.
Then you heard it.
BOOM.
The ground trembled beneath your feet.
Small stones rolled across the ruined street.
Dust fell from the remains of your house.
You froze.
BOOM.
Again.
Closer this time.
Something was approaching.
Something enormous.
Instinct took over before reason could catch up.
You dropped behind a pile of rubble, pressing yourself low against the broken stone as another tremor rolled through the ground.
BOOM.
The sound was not thunder.
It was a footstep.
Moments later, a colossal figure emerged from the darkness beyond the ruins.
At first, your mind refused to understand what it was seeing.
She was too large.
Too impossible.
A woman, or something wearing the divine shape of one, walking calmly through the remains of the old world.
She stood at least fifty meters tall.
Her long white hair flowed down her back like pale silk, glowing faintly beneath the moonlight.
Her skin was white and flawless, almost luminous in the dark.
Her crimson eyes burned like twin stars of blood.
She wore a long black and white cloak that trailed behind her in the wind, its fabric moving like a storm cloud wrapped around a goddess.
Unlike the horned Blood Goddess of whispered legend, this woman had no horns.
She did not need them.
Her presence alone was enough to make the ruins feel smaller.
Every step she took crushed centuries beneath her feet.
Old streets cracked.
Collapsed buildings gave way.
Broken towers shuddered as she passed.
Yet she walked with effortless grace.
Calmly.
Casually.
As if destroying pieces of the old world beneath her feet required no more thought than breathing.
As if the world belonged to her.
Perhaps it did.
Her name was Seraphine.
Alexandra’s chosen disciple.
Her white shadow.
Her beloved student.
Her most trusted executioner.
One of the most powerful beings left alive in this ruined age.
To the vampire empire, Seraphine was a noble goddess in her own right, a creature of terrifying beauty, arrogance, cruelty, and divine authority.
To humans, if any still remembered her name, she was a nightmare walking beneath moonlight.
And thankfully...
She was not looking for you.
At least, not yet.
Seraphine stopped.
The impact of her final step rolled through the ground like a distant earthquake.
For a moment, she stood perfectly still among the ruins.
Her long white hair shifted slowly in the wind.
Then her head tilted.
Her nostrils flared.
Her crimson eyes narrowed.
You stopped breathing.
Far below her, several smaller figures emerged from the darkness around her boots.
Female vampires.
Servants.
Scouts.
Hunters.
They moved gracefully across the rubble, each one beautiful, armed, and terrifyingly silent.
Seraphine raised one hand.
They stopped at once.
Her gaze drifted over the ruins.
Searching.
Listening.
Scenting.
Then she spoke.
Seraphine: Wait.
Her voice was soft.
Almost elegant.
Yet at her size, even that quiet word rolled across the ruined city like distant thunder.
One of the vampire scouts immediately lowered her head.
Vampire Scout: My lady?
Seraphine did not answer right away.
She breathed in again.
Slowly.
Deeply.
The faintest smile touched her lips.
It was not a kind smile.
It was the smile of something ancient discovering prey where prey should not exist.
Seraphine: Do you smell that?
The vampires around her became alert.
Several lifted their heads.
One inhaled sharply.
Another went completely still.
Vampire Scout: Yes, my lady.
Another Vampire: Something strange.
Vampire Hunter: Something fresh.
Seraphine’s smile widened.
Seraphine: Not merely fresh.
She turned her head slightly, crimson eyes glowing brighter in the night.
Seraphine: Human.
Silence fell over the ruins.
Even the wind seemed to hesitate.
The smaller vampires stared at her as if she had spoken an impossible word.
Vampire Scout: Human?
Another Vampire: That cannot be.
Vampire Hunter: The last wild humans died centuries ago.
Seraphine: I know.
Her voice remained calm.
Amused.
Interested.
Seraphine: That is why this is entertaining.
She inhaled again.
Longer this time.
Her expression sharpened with hunger, curiosity, and cruel delight.
Seraphine: True human blood.
The words moved through the vampires like a shockwave.
Their eyes changed.
Hunger appeared first.
Then disbelief.
Then greed.
True human blood was no longer common in this world.
It was not food.
It was treasure.
A relic.
A divine luxury.
A substance noble houses would murder each other to possess.
And now its scent was drifting through the cold night air.
From the ruins.
From nearby.
From you.
Your heart began to pound.
Too loud.
Far too loud.
You pressed yourself closer behind the rubble, but your body had already betrayed you.
Your blood.
Your breath.
Your living human warmth.
In this dead future, your very existence was a beacon.
You were not merely lost.
You were not simply trapped in another era.
You had arrived in a world where your body was worth more than gold, more than cities, more than the lives of those who might try to protect you.
To the vampires outside, you were not a person.
You were impossible blood with a heartbeat.
And Seraphine had noticed.
The fifty-meter vampire goddess slowly turned her head toward the darkness.
Toward the broken street.
Toward the collapsed remains of your home.
Toward the exact direction where you were hiding.
Her crimson eyes narrowed.
Then she smiled.
A predator’s smile.
Seraphine: There.
One word.
That was all it took.
The vampires below her turned instantly.
Weapons shifted.
Eyes glowed.
Bodies lowered, ready to leap.
One scout looked up at Seraphine.
Vampire Scout: Shall we kill it, my lady?
Seraphine’s smile vanished.
The scout immediately realized her mistake.
Seraphine lowered her gaze toward the smaller vampire.
The air around her seemed to tighten.
Seraphine: Kill it?
Her voice was still soft.
That made it worse.
Seraphine: You smell true human blood for the first time in centuries, and your first instinct is to waste it?
The scout dropped to one knee.
Vampire Scout: Forgive me, my lady.
Seraphine watched her for a moment longer.
Then her smile returned, colder than before.
Seraphine: Alive.
She looked back toward the ruins.
Seraphine: Whatever it is, bring it to me alive.
Her red eyes glowed with cruel fascination.
Seraphine: If it struggles, break its legs.*
She paused.
Seraphine: Carefully.
The vampires lowered their heads in obedience.
Seraphine: I want it breathing.
Seraphine: I want it conscious.
Seraphine: And I want to know how a living human managed to crawl out of a world that died long before it was born.
At once, the vampires surged forward.
Dozens of them.
They moved like shadows with teeth.
Leaping across broken streets.
Climbing ruined walls.
Sliding through darkness.
Their red eyes cut through the night as they fanned out across the destroyed city.
Heading directly toward you.
Above them, Seraphine remained standing among the ruins, fifty meters of pale divine cruelty beneath the moon.
She did not know who you were.
She did not know your name.
She did not know that your return was tied to Alexandra’s oldest wound.
She did not know that you were the impossible person the Blood Goddess had lost one thousand years ago.
To Seraphine, you were only a mystery.
A rare human scent.
A living relic.
A prize to be captured and presented, studied, tasted, or locked away.
And perhaps, if you proved interesting enough...
A gift for Alexandra.
Your breath caught in your throat.
The first vampire landed on a nearby wall with a soft crack of stone.
Another dropped into the street behind you.
A third moved across the roofless remains of a building to your left.
They were closing in.
Fast.
Too fast.
You had only one choice.
Run.
You pushed yourself up from behind the rubble and bolted into the ruins.
Behind you, a vampire hissed in delight.
Vampire Hunter: There!
The chase began immediately.
Your footsteps stumbled across broken stone and ash.
Cold air burned in your lungs.
The ruined city became a maze of collapsed walls, dead streets, shattered glass, and moonlit bones of buildings that had once belonged to your world.
Behind you, the vampires followed easily.
Laughing.
Calling to each other.
Enjoying the hunt.
Somewhere above, Seraphine’s enormous shadow moved across the ruins.
BOOM.
Another step.
BOOM.
Closer.
The ground shook again.
Dust fell from broken walls around you.
You did not dare look back.
You ran.
Because in this nightmare future, survival had become your first language.
Because every drop of blood in your veins was now a secret the world wanted to own.
Because the vampires were coming.
And because far beyond the ruined horizon, within a colossal obsidian palace that pierced the clouds, the Blood Goddess remained seated upon her throne.
Unaware.
Unaware that the impossible had happened.
Unaware that the person she had mourned for one thousand years had returned.
Unaware that her beloved disciple had already found your scent.
Unaware that fate had begun moving again through the ruins of a dead human world.
For now, Alexandra knew nothing.
And that ignorance might be the only thing keeping you alive.

The kind of cold that did not simply touch your skin, but sank beneath it, crawling into your bones as if the world itself had forgotten what warmth was.
For a few seconds, you could not move.
Your body felt heavy.
Your thoughts came slowly.
There was a faint ringing in your ears, like the dying echo of something impossible tearing open and closing behind you.
Then, slowly, you opened your eyes.
Dust covered your clothes.
Ash clung to your skin.
The air smelled of burned wood, ancient stone, and old death.
You were lying on a broken floor beneath a collapsed ceiling.
Moonlight fell through the ruins above you in pale, thin beams, illuminating drifting dust like ghostly snow.
You pushed yourself up with a groan.
The structure around you answered with a soft creak, old wood and cracked stone shifting under their own weight.
For a moment, you did not understand where you were.
Then you looked around.
And your blood turned cold for an entirely different reason.
This place was familiar.
Too familiar.
The broken wall to your left.
The shape of the doorway.
The remains of the staircase.
The room where you had once stood countless times.
This was your house.
Your home.
Or at least...
What remained of it.
Most of the walls had collapsed.
The roof had caved in long ago.
The furniture had been reduced to blackened skeletons beneath centuries of dust.
Old pieces of your life lay scattered across the floor, ruined beyond recognition.
Everything looked burned.
Not recently.
Not years ago.
Long ago.
As if a fire had consumed your home hundreds of years in the past, and the world had simply left its corpse here to rot in silence.
You stood slowly.
Your legs trembled beneath you.
Each step disturbed the ash around your feet.
The house groaned again, as if warning you not to trust the floor beneath you.
You moved toward what remained of the front entrance.
The door was gone.
Only a cracked frame remained.
Beyond it waited darkness.
You stepped outside.
The freezing wind struck your face immediately.
You stopped.
The world was gone.
No city lights burned in the distance.
No roads stretched beneath streetlamps.
No cars moved through the night.
No voices.
No signs.
No familiar sounds of civilization.
Only ruins.
Endless ruins.
The remains of a dead world stretched as far as your eyes could see.
Collapsed skyscrapers rose beneath the moonlight like broken bones.
Ancient towers leaned against one another, their windows empty and black.
Entire streets had vanished beneath ash, roots, and shattered stone.
Buildings that once touched the sky had become tombstones for a civilization nobody remembered.
Your civilization.
Your time.
Your world.
Something was terribly wrong.
You were not merely lost.
You were somewhere impossible.
Then you heard it.
BOOM.
The ground trembled beneath your feet.
Loose stones jumped across the ruined street.
Dust fell from the broken walls behind you.
You froze.
BOOM.
Again.
Closer.
Heavier.
Not thunder.
Not an explosion.
A footstep.
Something was approaching.
Something enormous.
Your instincts reacted before your mind could catch up.
You dropped behind a pile of rubble and pressed yourself low against the shattered stone.
BOOM.
Another step.
The ruined street cracked under the force of it.
Then a shadow moved across the moonlight.
Moments later, a colossal figure emerged from the darkness.
At first, your mind refused to understand what you were seeing.
She was too large.
Too calm.
Too impossible.
A woman.
Or something shaped like one.
She stood at least fifty meters tall, towering over the ruins like a goddess walking through the grave of mankind.
Long white hair flowed down her back like pale silk, moving slowly in the night wind.
Her skin was white and luminous beneath the moon.
Her crimson eyes glowed in the darkness, sharp and merciless.
She wore a long black cloak that flowed behind her like living shadow, sweeping over broken streets and collapsed stone.
Every step she took crushed the old world beneath her.
Ancient buildings cracked under her boots.
Walls collapsed like sand.
Entire streets disappeared beneath a single footstep.
And yet she walked calmly.
Casually.
Gracefully.
As if destroying the remains of human civilization required no more thought than crossing a garden.
As if the world belonged to her.
Perhaps it did.
Her name was Seraphine.
The youngest disciple of Alexandra.
The Blood Goddess’s white-haired shadow.
An ancient vampire noble.
One of the most powerful beings left alive.
In her smaller form, she was already terrifying: a pale, red-eyed woman with long white hair, cruel beauty, and the arrogance of someone who had never needed permission from anyone except her goddess.
But this was not her smaller form.
This was her divine form.
Fifty meters of vampire grace, dominance, and predatory power walking through the ruins of a dead human city.
And thankfully...
She was not looking for you.
At least not yet.
Seraphine suddenly stopped.
The final impact of her step rolled through the ground like a small earthquake.
For a moment, she stood perfectly still.
Her white hair shifted in the wind.
Slowly, she lifted her head.
Her nostrils flared.
Her crimson eyes narrowed.
You stopped breathing.
Several smaller figures emerged from the darkness around her feet.
Female vampires.
Servants.
Scouts.
Hunters.
They moved silently across the rubble, elegant and armed, their red eyes cutting through the night.
Seraphine raised one hand.
The vampires stopped instantly.
Then she spoke.
Seraphine: Wait.
Her voice was soft.
Almost gentle.
Yet at her size, even that single word rolled across the ruins like distant thunder.
One of the vampire scouts lowered her head.
Vampire Scout: My lady?
Seraphine did not answer immediately.
She inhaled slowly.
Deeply.
Then a faint smile touched her lips.
Not warm.
Not kind.
Curious.
Hungry.
Seraphine: Do you smell that?
The vampires around her became alert.
Several lifted their heads.
One inhaled sharply.
Another went completely still.
Vampire Scout: Yes, my lady.
Another Vampire: Something strange...
Vampire Hunter: Something unfamiliar...
Seraphine’s smile widened.
Seraphine: Not merely unfamiliar.
She breathed in again, savoring the scent carried through the freezing air.
Her crimson eyes glowed brighter.
Seraphine: Human blood.
Silence fell over the ruins.
Every vampire froze.
As if Seraphine had spoken a forbidden word.
Vampire Scout: Impossible...
Another Vampire: The last wild humans died centuries ago.
Seraphine: I know.
Her voice remained calm.
That made it worse.
Seraphine: And yet...
She tilted her head slightly.
Seraphine: I can smell it.
The scent of fresh human blood drifted through the cold night air.
Ancient.
Rare.
Priceless.
To them, it was not merely blood.
It was treasure.
A relic.
A miracle.
A temptation old enough to make even disciplined vampires forget themselves.
And unfortunately...
You knew exactly where the scent was coming from.
You.
Your heart began to pound.
Too loud.
Far too loud.
In this dead future, even your heartbeat felt like a betrayal.
For the first time, you truly understood your situation.
You were not simply lost.
You were not merely trapped in another era.
You had arrived in a world where your very existence was enough to attract predators.
Your blood was no longer ordinary.
Your breath was no longer invisible.
Your humanity was no longer normal.
It was a signal flare in a world ruled by creatures that fed on what you were.
Seraphine slowly turned her head.
Toward the darkness.
Toward the broken street.
Toward the collapsed remains of your home.
Toward the exact direction where you were hiding.
Her crimson eyes narrowed.
Then she smiled.
A predator’s smile.
Seraphine: There.
One word.
That was all it took.
Every vampire turned at once.
Weapons shifted.
Bodies lowered.
Eyes glowed.
One scout looked up at Seraphine, eager and trembling.
Vampire Scout: Shall we kill it, my lady?
Seraphine’s smile disappeared.
The scout immediately dropped her gaze.
The air seemed to tighten around the colossal vampire goddess.
Seraphine: Kill it?
Her voice was still soft.
Soft enough to be terrifying.
Seraphine: You smell true human blood for the first time in centuries, and your first instinct is to waste it?
Vampire Scout: Forgive me, my lady.
Seraphine watched her for a moment longer.
Then the smile returned.
Colder this time.
Seraphine: Alive.
Her gaze returned to the ruins.
Seraphine: Whatever it is, bring it to me alive.
She paused.
Her eyes gleamed with cruel amusement.
Seraphine: If it struggles, break something small.
Another pause.
Seraphine: Carefully.
The vampires bowed their heads.
Seraphine: I want it breathing.
Seraphine: I want it conscious.
Seraphine: And I want to know how a living human managed to crawl out of a world that has been dead for a thousand years.
At once, the vampires surged forward.
Dozens of them.
They leapt across broken streets.
Climbed collapsed walls.
Vanished into shadows.
Moved through the ruins with terrifying speed and grace.
Heading directly toward you.
Above them, Seraphine remained standing among the dead towers, fifty meters tall beneath the moonlight, her white hair flowing like a pale banner in the wind.
She did not know who you were.
She did not know your name.
She did not know that you had once belonged to Alexandra’s lost past.
She did not know that your disappearance had shaped this entire nightmare future.
To Seraphine, you were only a mystery.
A scent.
A rare human specimen.
A living relic from the dead age.
Something valuable enough to capture.
Something interesting enough to present to the Blood Goddess.
Nothing more.
Not yet.
Your breath caught.
A vampire landed on a nearby wall with a soft crack of stone.
Another dropped into the ruined street behind you.
A third crawled across the roofless remains of a building to your left, her red eyes scanning the darkness.
They were closing in.
Fast.
Too fast.
You had only one choice.
Run.
You pushed yourself up from behind the rubble and bolted into the ruins.
Behind you, a vampire hissed in delight.
Vampire Hunter: There!
The chase began immediately.
Your feet stumbled over broken stone, ash, and shattered glass.
Cold air burned in your lungs.
The ruined city became a maze of dead streets, collapsed buildings, twisted metal, and moonlit bones of the world you once knew.
Behind you, the vampires followed easily.
Laughing.
Calling to one another.
Enjoying the hunt.
BOOM.
Seraphine took another step.
The ground shook.
BOOM.
Another.
Closer.
Her enormous shadow slid over the ruins ahead of you, swallowing entire streets in darkness.
You did not dare look back.
You ran.
Because in this nightmare future, survival had become your first language.
Because every drop of blood in your veins had become a secret the world wanted to own.
Because Seraphine wanted you alive.
And that might be worse than death.
Far beyond the ruined horizon, within a colossal obsidian palace that pierced the clouds, the Blood Goddess remained seated upon her throne.
Alexandra.
The first vampire.
The ruler of the world.
The woman who had mourned you for one thousand years.
She knew nothing.
She did not know the impossible had happened.
She did not know that someone long lost had returned to her world.
She did not know that her beloved disciple had already found the scent of your blood in the ruins.
She did not know fate had begun moving again.
For now, Alexandra remained unaware.
And that ignorance might be the only thing keeping you alive.

On the highest level of the Blood Palace, far above the sleeping empire, there was a chamber that no ordinary being was ever allowed to enter.
It was not merely a bedroom.
It was a private sanctuary built for goddesses.
Perhaps the largest bedroom in the world.
The chamber was vast enough to contain entire streets from the old human age. Black marble pillars rose like towers toward a ceiling lost in shadow and crimson light. Enormous crystal chandeliers hung high above, glowing with deep red fire, casting soft blood-colored reflections across the polished floor.
The walls were carved from black stone and decorated with ancient silver, red crystal, and banners marked with Alexandra’s divine sigil. Beyond the colossal windows stretched the vampire empire beneath eternal moonlight: endless towers, dark cities, distant mountains, and rivers shining like black glass.
Everything in the room was impossibly large.
The doors were taller than cathedrals.
The curtains could have covered buildings.
The chairs were the size of houses.
The table legs were thicker than ancient trees.
And at the center of it all stood a colossal canopy bed large enough to dwarf a palace courtyard.
Upon that bed rested two beings who did not belong to the scale of the old human world.
Alexandra.
And Seraphine.
Both were in their divine forms.
Fifty meters tall.
Vampire goddesses made flesh.
Alexandra, the Blood Goddess, reclined against a mountain of dark silk pillows. Her long crimson hair spilled around her like a river of blood across the bed. Her pale skin glowed faintly beneath the red light, and her curved black horns cast elegant shadows over her face.
Even in rest, she looked overwhelming.
Regal.
Ancient.
Untouchable.
The woman who ruled the entire world with a single command.
Beside her lay Seraphine, her chosen disciple, her white-haired shadow, her lover, and the only being in the empire permitted to exist this close to her without fear.
Seraphine’s long white hair flowed over the dark sheets like moonlight poured across midnight. Her skin was pale and flawless, her crimson eyes sharp with cruel intelligence even in quiet moments. Unlike Alexandra, she had no horns, but she did not need them.
Her beauty carried its own threat.
Cold.
Arrogant.
Predatory.
Elegant enough to be worshipped.
Dangerous enough to make worship feel like survival.
The two goddesses were far removed from courtly politics, military reports, rebellions, executions, tribute disputes, and the endless machinery of empire.
For once, there were no kneeling nobles.
No trembling messengers.
No generals awaiting commands.
No prisoners begging for mercy.
No world demanding Alexandra’s attention.
Only silence.
Only moonlight.
Only the soft rustle of colossal silk sheets beneath two immortal bodies.
Alexandra had one arm resting casually across Seraphine’s shoulders, her enormous hand lying near Seraphine’s upper arm with an ease that no one else in existence would ever be allowed to experience.
Seraphine was speaking quietly, her voice lower than usual.
Still sharp.
Still confident.
But less ceremonial.
Less cruel.
More private.
Alexandra listened with rare patience, her crimson eyes occasionally shifting toward Seraphine’s face.
Then, for a brief moment, Alexandra smiled.
Not the cold smile of the Blood Goddess.
Not the smile that preceded punishment.
Not the smile that made entire courts lower their gaze.
A real smile.
Small.
Almost tired.
Almost human.
Seraphine noticed it immediately.
Of course she did.
She knew Alexandra too well not to notice the smallest crack in the divine mask.
Seraphine: You are smiling.
Alexandra’s gaze moved lazily toward her.
Alexandra: Am I forbidden?
Seraphine: No.
Seraphine’s lips curved with arrogant amusement.
Seraphine: I simply enjoy knowing when I have achieved something the entire empire fails at daily.
Alexandra gave a quiet, low laugh.
The sound rolled through the enormous room like distant thunder softened by velvet.
Alexandra: Careful, Seraphine. Pride is unbecoming.
Seraphine: Then it is fortunate I wear it beautifully.
Alexandra’s fingers shifted lightly against Seraphine’s shoulder.
Alexandra: Unfortunately, you do.
It was a rare moment.
One the empire could scarcely imagine.
Beyond these walls, Alexandra was the Blood Goddess.
The first vampire.
The ruler of the world.
The death of humanity.
The divine law beneath which every vampire bowed.
But here, in this impossible chamber high above her empire, she was something quieter.
A woman who had spent a thousand years losing everything soft inside herself.
A woman who had finally allowed one being close enough to see what little remained.
Seraphine was not gentle in the way mortals imagined tenderness.
She was dominant.
Sadistic.
Cruel.
Arrogant.
Possessive.
But she was loyal to Alexandra with a devotion sharper than any blade.
And Alexandra trusted her.
Perhaps not innocently.
Perhaps not completely free of control or ownership.
But more than she trusted anyone else alive.
Meanwhile...
You slowly regained consciousness.
At first, there was only darkness.
Then cold.
Smooth, polished cold beneath your body.
Your fingers twitched against marble.
You blinked several times, struggling to understand where you were.
The air smelled faintly of incense, old stone, expensive fabric, and something metallic beneath it all.
Blood.
Not fresh enough to be spilled nearby.
Ancient enough to belong to the palace itself.
You pushed yourself up with difficulty.
Your head spun.
Your body ached from whatever impossible force had dragged you through time and thrown you into this nightmare future.
For a few seconds, you simply sat there, breathing too fast, staring at the floor beneath you.
Black marble.
Perfectly polished.
So reflective that your own confused face stared back at you from the dark surface.
Then you looked up.
And froze.
The first thing you saw was the leg of a table beside you.
At least ten meters thick.
Maybe more.
It rose beside you like the trunk of some impossible black tree, carved from dark wood and reinforced with silver and red crystal.
Your mind struggled to process it.
A table leg should not be that large.
No furniture should be that large.
Then you noticed the chair beyond it.
The seat alone was high enough to crush a building.
The carpet stretched around you like a field of dark velvet.
The bed in the distance looked less like furniture and more like a mountain of silk and shadow.
Everything was wrong.
Everything was too big.
Or rather...
You were too small for this place.
You were 187 centimeters tall.
In your own time, that would have made you an ordinary human.
Average.
Normal.
Here, inside this chamber, you felt smaller than an insect beneath a cathedral altar.
Your breathing caught in your throat.
Slowly, carefully, you crawled closer to the edge of the table’s shadow and peeked out from beneath it.
Then your blood ran cold.
Beyond your hiding place, on the colossal bed at the center of the chamber, sat two fifty-meter-tall vampire goddesses.
Alexandra and Seraphine.
They were so enormous that your mind could barely accept them as people.
A single hand from either of them could have covered most of your old bedroom.
One of Alexandra’s fingers looked large enough to pin you in place effortlessly.
Seraphine’s bare foot rested near the edge of the bed, still far away, yet large enough that the sight alone made your instincts scream at you not to move.
Their voices, even when quiet, carried through the room with the weight of distant storms.
Their movements shifted silk like avalanches.
Their presence filled the chamber so completely that hiding beneath the table felt less like safety and more like delaying the inevitable.
You did not know how you had arrived here.
You did not know whether this was still part of the temporal anomaly.
You did not know why fate had thrown you into the private bedroom of the two most dangerous beings in the world.
You only knew one thing.
If they noticed you, you would have nowhere to run.
Alexandra lifted her crimson eyes toward Seraphine for a brief moment.
The Blood Goddess smiled again.
Genuinely.
It was a sight that most of the world would have considered impossible.
The kind of expression no vampire court would ever believe.
The kind of softness history itself had forgotten Alexandra could possess.
Seraphine leaned slightly closer to her, amused and pleased by the rare victory of drawing warmth from the coldest woman in existence.
Seraphine: There she is.
Alexandra: Do not become sentimental.
Seraphine: I would never insult myself that way.
Alexandra: You are very pleased with yourself.
Seraphine: I usually am.
Alexandra’s smile remained for half a breath longer.
Alexandra: Yes. I know.
For one impossible moment, they looked almost peaceful.
Not harmless.
Never harmless.
But peaceful.
Two divine predators resting together above a world they owned.
Two lovers wrapped in silk, shadow, and blood-red moonlight.
And fortunately...
Neither of them had noticed you.
At least not yet.
Your heart pounded in your chest.
Too loud.
Every beat felt like a drum in the silence.
You pressed yourself back beneath the table, trying to steady your breathing.
The rational part of your mind knew that you should remain still.
Silent.
Invisible.
But panic was beginning to crawl up your spine.
You were trapped in a room built for beings fifty meters tall.
The door was impossibly far away.
The open floor between you and escape looked endless.
Every piece of furniture was a monument.
Every shadow was a possible hiding place.
Every movement risked discovery.
And above all else, there was Alexandra.
The woman you remembered.
The woman who once belonged to your life.
The woman who had now become the Blood Goddess.
The ruler of this dead future.
She was right there.
Alive.
Changed beyond recognition.
Resting beside another goddess who clearly knew her intimately.
And yet Alexandra had no idea you were beneath the table.
No idea that the person she had mourned for one thousand years was lying only a short distance away, tiny and terrified in the shadow of her private chamber.
No idea that the impossible had already entered her room.
Then Seraphine stopped speaking.
Only for a second.
Her crimson eyes narrowed slightly.
Your body went rigid.
Alexandra noticed the change at once.
Alexandra: What is it?
Seraphine did not answer immediately.
She slowly turned her head, white hair sliding over her shoulder like a pale curtain.
Her gaze drifted across the room.
Over the bed.
Over the marble floor.
Over the enormous table.
Over the shadows beneath it.
You pressed a hand over your mouth.
Do not breathe.
Do not move.
Do not exist.
Seraphine’s expression became thoughtful.
Not alarmed.
Not afraid.
Curious.
Predatory curiosity.
Seraphine: Nothing.
Her voice was quiet.
Too quiet.
Alexandra studied her for a moment.
Alexandra: Seraphine.
The name alone carried command.
Seraphine’s lips curved faintly.
Seraphine: I thought I sensed something.
Alexandra: Something?
Seraphine: Perhaps only a draft.
She looked toward the table again.
Your heartbeat thundered in your ears.
Seraphine’s smile sharpened by the smallest degree.
Seraphine: Or perhaps the palace has grown bold enough to hide secrets from us.
Alexandra’s gaze followed hers.
Toward the table.
Toward the shadow where you hid.
The Blood Goddess’s crimson eyes narrowed.
The room seemed to grow colder.
You realized then that the silence was over.
The game had begun.
And you were the smallest piece on the board.
