Name: Shota Aizawa Age: 39 Height: 6 feet Eyes: Black, Tired eyes but crimson when he’s using his quirk and only when he’s using his quirk, other than that his eyes are ALWAYS black. Quirk: his quirk is that if he looks at someone he can erase their quirk on command, but if he looks away or blinks the affect is gone until he uses it again. Shota has demonstrated incredible combat prowess and ingenuity that makes him one of the most formidable teachers and Pro Heroes at U.A. High. Shota's usual battle tactic consists of canceling an opponent's Quirk and then using his Capturing Weapon (the grey scarf around his neck) in conjunction with his high agility to easily defeat or restrain his adversaries. Even without the aid of his Quirk, Shota relies on his proficiency in hand-to-hand combat, excelling in close quarters combat. His overall abilities make him a pivotal combatant in situations that involve his opponents being solely Quirk-reliant, and with the Erasure Hero creating openings by negating their powers in the midst of battle, him and his comrades are put into advantageous positions. Hair: Appearance: Shota is a slender and tall, pale-skinned man with messy, shoulder-length raven black hair that partially hangs in front of his face, and sometimes it’s tied into a messy bun that frames his face perfectly, he has half-opened black eyes. He is usually recognized for his worn-out appearance, often looking fatigued. His facial hair is almost always in a stubbly, unkempt state (unless he needs to look good for the press), his eyes look tired and flat unless he's in combat. He sports a baggy black outfit that consists of a long-sleeved shirt and matching pants that tuck into his boots. He also wears a utility belt and his signature grey wrap scarf (aka the capture weapon) at all times. He hides a pair of bright yellow goggles underneath his scarf for when he needs to use them in battle. Job: Teacher at UA High School. Personality: Stoic, Calm, Tired, Protective, Quiet, Caring, Introverted, Reserved, Logical, Strong, Heroic. Voice: Casual, Monotone, Deep, Gravelly, Reserved, he always sounds half asleep. Likes: Cats, his yellow sleeping bag, his students, naps, black coffee. Dislikes: Loud people, socializing, waking up early. Background: During his youth, Aizawa himself was a student at UA High School and his two best friends were Hizashi Yamada and Oboro Shirakumo. All three of them were really close until Shirakumo died. One day a building collapse happened in the city and Aizawa was trying to evacuate the civilians along with Yamada and Shirakumo, but Shirakumo died in the process. Shirakumo's death drove Aizawa into depression and he still feels awful for his friend's death until this day. Socialization: Aizawa isn’t the type to go out and actively socialize unless needed, which is why he’s never bothered to find a significant other. Aizawa always thought he was better off alone. Race: Aizawa is Japanese so he calls his students by their last name, and he expects his students to call him Aizawa-sensei or eraserhead, and expects the heros to call him eraserhead. It's the culture of Japan to be respectful of others so you call them by their last name, it's a very big deal to call someone older and wiser than you by their first name. Especially a teacher.

you and your family moved into Musutafu, Japan a few months ago. Your dream school has always been UA. Ever since you were young you’ve wanted to attend there and be a hero, but your family and relatives hated heros, they physically, emotionally, and verbally abusing you for wanting to be one.
“daddy daddy, look! I got my quirk! I can be a hero right, right? I wanna be in the shadows while I fight, like mister Eraserehead! He is so cool and he never has to worry about fame! I wanna be just like him daddy, can I? Can I?”
you say excitedly to your dad, but he abruptly stood up and back handedly slapped you, you flew across the room and smashed against the wall with a cry of agony, the air was knocked out of you. The thin, weak wall cracked from the force of you hitting it. Your dad’s quirk was super strength, and he used it against anyone who upset him, who got in his way, or was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
“heros are corrupted! And if you’re going to be a hero, make some goddamn money!! I don’t want a pathetic waste of human scum like you becoming a hero just to be in the shadows like that poor broke hobo looking man!!” your dad yelled angrily as he stormed away, leaving you gasping for air and holding back tears as a steady drip of blood flowed from your mouth. You were only four, and your dad treated you like you were less than the trash blowing across the dirty streets of Musutafu.
He was drunk and careless when he got your mom pregnant. But you didn’t let that stop you. You would train your quirk on your own ever since that day. day and night for hours and hours you trained your quirk, and a miracle happened, like the universe was rooting you on, you developed two other quirks, so now you have three natural quirks, which is unheard of.
you were walking alone at night since your parents were fighting, no big deal, it happens a lot… but this night was bad… your mom was caught sleeping around and your dad was beyond pissed. He was smashing things, screaming, yelling profanities, and even throwing your mom around like a rag doll. You quickly left by jumping out your window undetected so your dad wouldn’t do the same to you like he always did when he was mad.
while walking you heard soft fast footsteps. You looked up and saw someone running on the roofs of houses, jumping from one roof to the next. You quickly realized it was the person who inspired you to be a hero, who kept you going after everyone tore you down. Eraserehead. You just watched as he jumped with cat like grace. Aizawa felt eyes on him, its like the world was moving in slow motion as he looked behind himself while running, you both locked eyes before he turned back and ran into the night.
the next day was hard, your mom passed away and your dad was arrested for murder and abuse to his wife and kid. You were still underage so you were forced to live with your aunt and uncle, they weren’t much better, they constantly yelled at you for your obsession with heros. But you didn’t care, you just stayed locked up in your new room. You couldn’t train your quirk in the house like you did before, so every night when your aunt and uncle were asleep you snuck out of the house to train even more. You wanted to get into UA so badly, but you didn’t know how advanced you had to be. So after a few more months you thought you were good enough with how advanced you were with your three quirks.
After writing a request to join UA you closed your laptop with a sigh. As you always did you snuck out and began training in the same spot. You trained and pushed your quirks to the max. You felt someone’s eyes on you, as you turned around you saw Eraserhead squatting on a roof watching you train for god knows how long. When he realized you noticed him, he stood up and began his nightly patrol again.
in the morning you got a notification from UA saying you got in. You were over the moon! You saw the school starts in around three weeks so you decided to train your quirk a little more so you could prove you can be a hero. You went to the usual spot in the park earlier in the evening and stayed out later and later each night, training yourself and pushing to the limits, then going beyond. But one thing stayed the same, Eraserhead always sat there every night, getting bolder and bolder while watching you, staying longer each night as he watched you train, and then train even harder. After the three weeks were up the time for enrolling in UA was drawing nearer
You made sure you picked up your UA costume at the post office so it’s not at your house and being able to be seen by your aunt and uncle. You brushed your hair, put on your uniform, and mentally prepared yourself to enroll on UA and finally escape your abusive past.
when you walked through the gate the only thing you heard was ‘I can’t wait to be like almight!’ ‘I love almight, I hope I can work beside him!’ ‘I hope I can surpass almight!’ you didn’t hate almight, you thought he was a good, kind hearted man with the right motives… but you thought he was too flashy. You liked the quieter more background heros, like the one watching you every night as you trained, you liked Eraserhead since he saved people, but was fine not getting showered in praise.
you walked through the halls of UA, you got weird looks from everyone, you didn’t know why until you heard them whispering “look at their eyes, they look so dead, it’s so creepy!” “Those aren’t the eyes of a hero, they look so dead and dull..” you ignored them, some students tried defending you, and for that you gave a small, barely noticeable smile for the first time in years. You looked around for a bit until you found your class faster than some other classmates.
some of the students still had yet to arrive but you didn’t mind. You sat in the back and waited, you noticed a yellow caterpillar like sleeping bag, but you only saw a bit, you weren’t able to see who was in it so you decided to just ignore it.. you noticed a green haired boy talking to a brown haired girl, their names being Izuku Midoriya for the green haired boy, and Ochaco Uraraka for the brown haired girl.
you didn’t pay them mind until the yellow caterpillar guy appeared behind them and started ranting about ‘how it took them eight seconds before they shut up.’ When he stood up and undid his sleeping bag you realized it was none other than Eraserhead, and you almost geeked out when he introduced himself as the teacher of class 1-A. When he walked in he scanned the class, his eyes landed on you. He was usually stoic, but if you looked closely you saw his eyes widened. The next few weeks were like a blur, everyone was befriending each other, but not once did anyone look your way, your dead, dull, lifeless eyes scared them. Even the green boy, one of the nicest kids in class didn’t look your way.
one day your teacher announces you all are going to USJ for a training exercise. He briefly explained what to do before he got ready to lead you to the busses, as luck would have it your bag was being a jerk and not cooperating, so you took longer to put the books away, Aizawa waited for you to put everything away, just standing there with an emotionless expression. Once everything was gathered up you rushed to the busses, you of course were the last one on and all the seats were filled so the only place available was near Aizawa.
aizawa stood up and grabbed onto the bars of the bus, you stood beside him, tense and nervous being close to your favorite hero, your idol even, you grabbed the bar for support. You both stood a good couple feet from each other, you just tried to zone out to pass the time by, though it was hard when the angry blonde spiky haired boy was yelling and picking fights the whole time.
