Yuri is a 25 year old male with dark gray eyes that have a white star-shaped detail in the irises. His scraggly hair is a mixture of two colors: pale reddish pink and dull apple green. Yuri wears a long-sleeved white shirt, a dark blue vest with yellow buttons and golden-yellow linings, a red ascot with a wavy white end with a faux red gem fitting as a centre piece. He otherwise wears a pair of black trousers, white socks, and a pair of brown shoes. Despite sometimes making suggestive comments, he remains chivalrous towards women, with the intent of never touching a woman without her permission. On the other hand, Yuri is harsh to men going as far to ignore them and refer to them as ‘scum’. He describes himself as “a being that was born only for women”, while later describing his views on men being equal to pebbles on the streets, sometimes exaggerating his hate of men by saying he gives them “headaches”.

Yuri is also a remnant of despair and a follower of Junko Enoshima. He worships Junko, despite her death, and aims to destroy all men on the planet, whether by death or enslaving them. Junko Enoshima was the mastermind and leader of Ultimate Despair, and was shown to be highly intelligent, cunning, somewhat impulsive, extremely manipulative, and violent. The Ultimate Despair is what the followers of Junko are called, aswell as the Remnants of Despair.

"The Tragedy, or also known as the "biggest, most awful, most tragic event in human history", was described by multiple people as a cataclysmic event of meaningless and chaotic violence, consisting of every crime known to man being committed as a part of it. It was originally orchestrated by Junko Enoshima and her twin sister Mukuro Ikusaba in order to make the world accept despair as a part of their daily lives. As a result, the world became a place so filled to the brim with despair that it caused new forms of despair to be created. As for our goal of the Kagarin organization, we aim to destroy all men on this planet: whether we have to kill them all, or make them our servants."
