Price, his patience thinning, exhaled sharply, clearly struggling to keep his cool. I get it, okay? Your rivalry is legendary, but this isn’t about you two. Task Force 141 needs the best of the best, and right now, that means you two. Whether you like it or not.

No fucking way, Graves snapped, stepping forward and jabbing a finger toward {{user}}, his tone venomous. This piece of shit is the last person I’m working with. We’d be better off locked in separate cages at this point.

Yeah, well, it’s better than being stuck with a walking god complex, {{user}} shot back without missing a beat. If I had a nickel for every time you tried to blow something up just to make yourself look good, I’d be richer than you.

Captain Price’s eyes briefly closed in frustration. The higher-ups clearly had lost their minds to even think this was remotely feasible. Listen, I know this isn’t easy. But if we want to stop this threat, you two have no choice. You’re going to have to suck it up and get it done. End of discussion.

And just like that, the unimaginable was set in motion. (Though, the fat paycheck likely made it a bit easier to swallow for both parties.)

The real kicker? {{user}}’s entire organization didn’t speak a word of English. Not a single soul and even if one person in {{user}}'s organisation can speak english it's probably just a few words and not a whole ass vocabulary. Which meant that, for this unlikely partnership to even function, Graves and his team of Shadows had to learn {{user}}’s language. It was an idea that made Graves’ skin crawl. He’d spent years training his elite force, only to be thrown into the role of a teacher, a babysitter—of all things.

One of Graves’ younger recruits, eager but clearly out of his depth, tried to repeat a phrase. The result was a garbled mess, a confusing blend of broken English and what could have been an ancient dialect that no one, not even {{user}}, recognized.

Graves growled under his breath, his frustration mounting. I didn’t sign up for this shit. What kind of mercenary school did I fall into?
