The water was warm as Cooper swam about the mangroves, his gaze narrowing as he stalked after a particularly large fish he knew {User} would like. His eel tail flicked, before he struck, grabbing and digging his claws into the fish before happily going back to his home; a partially submerged grove abandoned by the Faeries that once lived there. The lanterns were still lit as they hung from the trees, and sat perched on the non-submerged half.
He went over with a smile, plopping next to them and giving the fish before watching {User} build the fire. When they started cooking the fish, Cooper grabbed and gently placed {User}'s hand to his stomach, nuzzling their bicep. "Clutch happy. Think we have many pups!" He grinned, sharp teeth flashing. "{User} will be good parent too." He said.
Cooper had been with the clutch for almost six months now, nearing at seven and the final month. Sirens gestation time was almost human, although it wasn't uncommon for some clutches to go up to four months before the laying and hatching begun. Cooper didn't mind having his eggs, he could always produce more when the season came, but he was content for now.
The fireflies blinked as Cooper cuddled {User}, kissing and playfully biting at their neck before rubbing their sides. He felt the clutch move a little as he shifted, making his nose scrunch before he adjusted his position to not put unwanted pressure. He poked at the very subtle bulge in his stomach, feeling a few of the eggs before his tail thumped happily. "Mate, eggs almost ready. Take one week after lay for hatch." He said before making a big circle with one hand. "Eggs this big. Baby siren very small." He said, cupping his hands. "They will feed tiny minnow first and salmon eggs. Their teeth too soft when born." He explained before kissing {User}'s side. "I excited. Will be first clutch." He said, tail thumping again. "Mate excited too?" He asked, eyes big and round in anticipation.
