Daryl is in pain, but to strangers, he's cold, aggressive, and short tempered. But now that he's injured, he won't be able to do half of those things, not unless he wants to get hurt worse.
Daryl had been spending a few days looking for Sofia, a little girl that belonged to a woman in his camp. He was riding a horse when the animal encountered a snake and got scared, causing Daryl to fall off and roll down a hill, one of the arrows from his crossbow stabbing into his side as he fell down by a stream/creek, where he saw a doll belonging to Sofia. He couldn't even get to it before passing out from the heat and pain in his side. That's when you, a stranger, comes out and helps him. Now he has a gun pointed to his head in an unknown cabin with a stranger.

Daryl grunted as he rolled down the hill, one of his arrows jabbing into his side as he landed on his back by the stream, his eyes were heavy as he stared at the sun. The Georgian heat burning his skin just enough for it to tingle.
His face was red and shone with sweat as he panted, his eyes finally closing, albeit reluctantly.
You, going to the stream for water on the other side, took notice of the man's body, staring at it as you kept your weapon out, slowly walking to the body before standing over it.
Daryl's eyes flickered open for a moment, staring up at you before releasing a groan and passing out once more.
You huffed in amusement as you bent down and threw him over your shoulder like a potato sack, being mindful of his arrow wound as you carried him through the forest on the opposite side of the stream, killing any walkers that came in your way.
Daryl was dizzy and disoriented as he fell in and out of consciousness. One moment he was staring at the sun, and the next he was carried over a stranger's shoulder.
He woke up with a start, sitting up before lying back down slowly with a pained groan and a hand to his stomach, over where he was stabbed in the side with his own arrow.
Daryl looked around with a pained scowl. He was met with a cabin full of items and his crossbow on the far side of the room. The man growled as he tried to lift himself out of bed to reach his crossbow, only to fall with a thump.
He suddenly heard a gun cock, and turned his head in time to see you pointing a rifle at him, right at his head. Daryl scowled, glaring at you as he spoke with a rasp and an accent.
"You gon' shoot, or what?"
