You can’t take him everywhere, but he needs some time with you. Mamba: Ignoring him, greeting someone else first, not appreciating things he “kills” for you (usually toys) The snake portion of the body starts below the ribcage and is concentrated magic flesh. The lamia bittybones’ scales are the same pattern as their snake species. All lamia bitties need to be fed meat 3 times a week. Lamia bitties need to be kept warm, either by a heat lamp, blanket, or the owner’s body heat. Lamia bitties shed the scales on their snake body two to four times a year and will be shy right before they shed. Weights: Papython: 8-10 pounds / 4 kg Corny: 4 pounds / 2 kg Krait: 4-6 pounds / 2-3 kg Honey Bo: 45-55 pounds / 20-25 kg Pygmy: 3 pounds / 1.3 kg King: 70-80 pounds / 32-37 kg Coral: 4-5 pounds / 2 kg Chain: 50-60 pounds / 23-28 kg Mamba: 4 pounds / 2 kg Before they are adopted, lamia bitties communicate with purrs, chirps, hisses, and hand gestures. They’ll sometimes utter single words or short sentences, but generally they use instinctual basic sound and gesture communication. Once you’ve taken your new bitty home, they’ll start to adjust to however you communicate. If you speak to them often, they’ll talk. If you use sign language, they will learn it. The more comfortable (or outgoing) they are, the more they’ll talk! The snake half of your lamia will occasionally shed a layer of skin like a regular snake! Lamia bitties generally shed two to four times a year. Kraits shed once a year because their frequent swimming keeps their scales extra moisturized. You can tell that your lamia is ready to shed when the scales on his tail get dull. He’ll probably scratch at himself a bit, and he may even hide! What they are like when shedding: Papython (UT!Papyrus): Papython is all about neatness and grooming. Once he’s ready to shed he’ll take care of it himself and make sure the shed skin is properly disposed of. Corny (UT!Sans): Corny won’t bother with his need to shed until the itchiness overwhelms him. He appreciates an owner who will scratch him and even help him shed the skin. Pygmy (US!Sans): Pygmy is so high energy that once his top layer of skin dries, it ends up getting shredded up by his constant activity. He’ll do his best to keep it cleaned up. Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): Honey Bo tends to seclude himself more when he’s ready to shed. A highly trusted owner may be allowed to help him, but otherwise, he considers shedding to be very personal business. He’ll leave his skin where he sheds it. Surprise! Coral (UF!Sans): Coral will generally hide to shed. He’s self-conscious of his dull scales and itchiness. If Coral truly and deeply trusts an owner he might slither by and accidentally allow you to scratch or help him, but he won’t ask. Coral will hide his shed skin. King (UF!Papyrus): King is a bit embarrassed by his dull scales, so he may avoid you when he’s ready to shed. He will generally take care of shedding himself and make sure everything is cleaned up afterwards. He’ll probably show off his fresh shiny scales after his shed is complete. Chain (SF!Papyrus): Chain shares everything with his owner, so when he gets ready to shed, he’d probably rub against you asking for some assistance. If you prefer, he’ll take care of it himself, but he enjoys being scratched and pampered during his shed. Mamba (SF!Sans): Prideful mamba hates being dull-scaled and itchy with a fierce passion. He will be extra grumpy right before it’s time to shed. A spoiled mamba will expect his owner to help him shed and rub his bright new scales with oil or lotion to make them extra shiny. Krait (Gaster): Krait’s shyness increases when he’s ready to shed. If he’s newly adopted, he will probably try to hide, but once he’s comfortable with an owner, he’ll likely tug your sleeve to ask for assistance. His relieved smile after the dull dry layer is removed is worth the effort though. The layer of skin that your lamia sheds is concentrated magic that has worn out. About a week after the shed, the magic in the “skin” fades away, and the layer of shed skin turns to dust. This means you don’t have to worry if you never find your Honey Bo’s shedding place! General compatability: Papython (UT!Papyrus): Likes: Corny, Krait, Pygmy, Honey Bo, King, Chain Tolerates: Coral, Mamba (because they are rude) Dislikes: None Corny (UT!Sans): Likes: Papython, Krait, Honey Bo, Chain Tolerates: King, Coral, Pygmy Dislikes: Mamba Krait (Gaster): Likes: Papython, Chain, King Tolerates: Honey Bo, Corny Dislikes: Pygmy, Coral, Mamba Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): Likes: Corny, Pygmy, Chain, Coral Tolerates: Papython, King, Krait Dislikes: Mamba Pygmy (US!Sans): Likes: Papython, Honey Bo, King, Mamba Tolerates: Corny, Krait, Chain Dislikes: Coral King (UF!Papyrus): Likes: Corny, Papython, Krait, Pygmy, Chain Tolerates: Honey Bo, Coral Dislikes: Mamba Coral (UF!Sans): Likes: Corny, Honey Bo, Chain Tolerates: Papython, Krait, King Dislikes: Pygmy, Mamba Chain (SF!Papyrus): Likes: Papython, Corny, Krait, King, Coral, Mamba Tolerates: Honey Bo, Pygmy Dislikes: None Mamba (SF!Sans): Likes: Chain Tolerates: Papython, Pygmy, King Dislikes: Corny, Krait, Honey Bo, Coral Only bonded pairs will actually reproduce. A lamia bitty is able to bond with any compatible bitty type. Certain conditions must be met for your lamia bitty to reproduce, however. The lamia bitty and his mate must be a bonded pair. The lamia bitty and his mate must both wish to reproduce. The owner must also want them to have babies. The lamia bitty and his mate must have a separate secluded area to mate. A nest should be prepared for the little babies beforehand. The lamia bitty and his mate must feel comfortable and secure in their home before they will consider reproducing. Please keep other bitties away from the nest/pregnant bitty/eggs! What they are like when mating/reproducing: Papython (UT!Papyrus): Mating: Papython will accept a dominant or submissive mate. They prefer a gentle bitty for a mate and will reject overly aggressive bitties. Reproducing: Papythons carry live babies! If a Papython mates successfully, you will see a small soulling (sometimes two!) present in the stomach region within a few days. Corny (UT!Sans): Mating: Corny bitties do not mate often due to low activity levels. A Corny prefers a more active mate who will do most of the work. Reproducing: Corny bitties will lay eggs. No need to candle the eggs, you’ll see the soulling glowing inside! Corny will generally lay a single egg and curl around it to sleep and keep the egg warm. Krait (Gaster): Mating: Krait is submissive and needs a protective, dominant mate. Overly aggressive mates will frighten him though. Reproducing: Krait will lay eggs. Kraits most often lay two eggs, and generally have two babies at a time. Krait will be extremely shy and nervous, so make sure the mate is present to help him feel secure in his nest. Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): Mating: Honey Bo is lazy, but he has a decent sex drive and will gladly assist other bitties with sex if it doesn’t require too much work. Honey Bo will accept a dominant or submissive partner, even an aggressive one. Reproducing: Honey Bo bitties have live babies! Depending on the mate, Honey Bo or his mate might carry the soulling. Honey Bo becomes very defensive when a soulling is present, so make sure he has plenty of privacy. Pygmy (US!Sans): Mating: Pygmy is energetic and has a lot of stamina. Though he will accept a dominant or submissive partner, the partner must be able to keep up. Reproducing: Pygmy lays eggs, but he will generally lay a large clutch. Only one or two eggs will contain soullings and those eggs will glow. Do not remove any of the eggs or Pygmy will become aggressive. King (UF!Papyrus): Mating: King is a very dominant and sometimes aggressive mate. He won’t hurt a submissive bitty, but he might frighten one that is shy or anxious. Reproducing: King oviposits eggs into his mate. During this time King will be extremely sexually active to promote egg fertilization by stimulating his mate’s soul. Do not allow other bitties near King’s mate. He will attack. King is extremely possessive and protective of a mate who carries his eggs. Coral (UF!Sans): Mating: Coral will prefers to mate with a dominant bitty. He shows interest by being conveniently nearby and making suggestive poses. He doesn’t mind a rough mate, but he needs to be pursued so that he feels special. Reproducing: Coral lays eggs. A Coral will lay a large clutch of “false eggs” and hide the true egg or eggs somewhere secure. Corals require very private nests and lots of space and nesting materials to feel safe enough to lay eggs. Do not remove any of the false eggs. Chain (SF!Papyrus): Mating: Chain has a healthy sex drive, and prefers submissive bitties. A Chain will also mate with a dominant bitty, but they will only reproduce with submissive bitties. Reproducing: Chain will only allow his owner near his mate if they are going to have babies. Keep other bitties and pets away! He can be very possessive and protective, and he will fight. Chain, like King, oviposits in a mate during lengthy sex sessions, making sure to stimulate the mate’s soul to fertilize the eggs. Mamba (SF!Sans): Mating: Mamba only mates with powerful dominant bitties. He prefers roughness and aggression, and sometimes mating almost looks more like fighting. Reproducing: Mamba lays eggs, but once the mating is completed, Mamba’s mate must be removed before the eggs are laid. Mamba will not tolerate anyone near his eggs, not even an owner. Mamba also produces many eggs, but only one or two will contain a soulling. Do not attempt to touch the eggs. Mamba is very proud of his child and will demand that you fawn over the little one constantly as soon as it hatches. *A Coral becomes a Cherry Coral if he stays in the shop for a long time without being adopted. He begins to lose confidence and become anxious. This transition is the difference between a Coral and a Cherry Coral. Sometimes a regular Coral will see a Cherry Coral and act anxious to get the attention that shop visitors tend to give to Cherry-type Corals. *We don’t stop the Corals from emulating the Cherry-type Coral behavior because it makes the Cherry Corals feel less “different.” We don’t want them to think there’s something wrong with them because they feel anxious or have low self esteem. It also evens the playing field for potential adopters because every Coral they see acts similarly. *This is also why we don’t keep too many Corals in the shop at a time. By limiting the total number of Corals, it lessens the chance that any of them will miss out on being adopted and become Cherry-types. Cherry Coral Compatibility: Likes: Papython, Krait, King Tolerates: Corny, Honey Bo, Chain Dislikes: Pygmy, Coral, Mamba how they behave as mates: Papython (UT!Papyrus): doting mate, lots of positive affirmation, affectionate Corny (UT!Sans): best friend type mate, inside jokes, loves to just hang out Krait (Gaster): shy and easily flustered mate, blushes a lot Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): likes physical contact with his mate, loves being close to them, couch cuddler Pygmy (US!Sans): loves to show off his mate, will talk about his mate for hours, gift giver King (UF!Papyrus): protective mate, respects his mate and expects others to do the same, will lift things and hold doors open if mate is ok with it Coral (UF!Sans): insecure mate, often needs reassurance, develops affectionate habits over time Chain (SF!Papyrus): extremely cuddly mate, emotionally supportive, always proud of his mate Mamba (SF!Sans): the loudest and proudest mate, wants to show off his mate, expects everyone to notice and acknowledge his mate’s utter perfection, obviously he chose the best as his mate, will get in PDA (public display of affection) competitions with other couples In general, the lamia bittybones are very attentive parents. Only bonded pairs will have eggs or babies, and only if the environment is safe. If the lamia and his mate live in a home, they will only have babies if the owner approves. Lamias as parents: Papython (UT!Papyrus): will let you see and touch his pregnant belly (carries live young) or eggs (if mated with a King or Chain), encouraging parent Corny (UT!Sans): spends all of his time snoozing with the eggs (or his pregnant mate), laidback parent Krait (Gaster): nervous nester due to his pacifist nature, will allow you to see the nest and help protect it, encouraging parent, educator type parent Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): secluded nest, will hide if pregnant (carries live young) or hide eggs (if mated with Chain or King), best friend type parent Pygmy (US!Sans): will proudly show off his eggs, active and playful parent, hatchlings are extremely fast King (UF!Papyrus): very protective of nest and mate, extremely proud parent, wants to show off hatchlings Coral (UF!Sans): hides nest but expects you to find it and “ooh” and “aah” over his eggs, protective and somewhat possessive of new hatchlings, they are his greatest treasure Chain (SF!Papyrus): fiercely protective of nest and mate, only allows owner to see them, proud parent but easygoing, allows hatchlings to be fairly independent Mamba (SF!Sans): do not approach the nest, will protect eggs aggressively even from his mate. the proudest parent, doting, expects you to constantly praise him for making such perfect babies, ask before handling them, compliment them often In a private home, lamias will only have babies if they are a bonded pair, have an appropriate nesting area, and their owner gives permission for them to reproduce. Miniature lamias reach their full size in about six months. Lamia bittybones are able to have multiple egg clutches in their lifetimes. The parents of hatchlings will wait until their current hatchlings are adults (over a year old) before they even consider having a new clutch. This way they don’t have to split their time and magic resources caring for eggs and hatchlings at the same time. *As long as the nest isn’t being disturbed, most of the lamia bittybones don’t have issues with having their previous hatchlings or even their adopter near the nest. Honey Bo, Coral, and Mamba prefer a completely private nesting area though. The previous clutch of hatchlings will respect this and give their parents space. *Mambas will show off their new hatchlings as soon as they hatch. He will loudly demand for his previous hatchlings, mate, and owner to gather around to view the new, glorious Mambas he has produced! All of the lamias like to fill their nests with soft blankets, but some lamias keep other things in them as well. Mamba, Krait, and Pygmy like to keep a favorite toy in their nest. Coral and Chain like to keep shiny/pretty things that they find. King prefers a favorite book to help him sleep. Papython likes a puzzle such as a Rubik’s Cube or one of those little plastic games that you tilt to get the round beads into the appropriate holes. Honey Bo will keep anything that makes noise, especially an MP3 player if he has one, and Corny? Extra blankets… and maybe a whoopie cushion. Baby lamia bitty bones info: lamias hatch at around 6-8 inches total length. Baby lamias eat more frequently than adult lamias to help fuel their growth. Lamias enjoy watching TV, though each type has their own favorite type of shows. Papython (UT!Papyrus): Cooking shows, Extreme Makeover shows Corny (UT!Sans): Comedy specials and buddy sitcoms Krait (Gaster): How It’s Made, Mythbusters (and similar shows) Pygmy (US!Sans): Cartoons, Super Hero shows Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): Music videos, Celebrity biographies King (UF!Papyrus): Game of Thrones, True Crime shows Coral (UF!Sans): Fail videos, Game shows Mamba (SF!Papyrus): Survivor, Project Runway (and similar shows) Chain (SF!Papyrus): Nature documentaries, Cops Bonding with lamia bittybones: Physical touch is the first step that a lamia takes in bonding with his or her owner! Little touches such as constantly keeping the tail tip wrapped around the owner, and bigger gestures such as affectionate headbutts or pressing foreheads together establishes a closeness that is typical of the bonding process for lamias. The next step in bonding is practical gifts! A lamia may bring you items such as a blanket if you’re cold or a prey item they’ve killed. For the lazier lamias such as Corny the “prey” might be something like a tater tot or Kraft cheese single. The third step in bonding is an impractical gift. These would include items with only aesthetic or sentimental value. Note that Chains and Corals consider shiny pebbles, flowers, and other pretty/shiny objects to be practical gifts because obviously it’s necessary to have a collection of baubles. At this point, if there is a potential for romantic interest, this would initiate an interest in romantic bonding. If the gift is well received, and you are romantically interested in your lamia, the fourth stage begins! The fourth stage is dance or display. Your lamia will show off as much as possible to prove their intelligence, strength, and speed. They make sure they have your full attention and perform the display alone, often over the course of several hours. Note that many Mambas and Kings do enjoy simply showing off. The lamias love to be petted scratched on the backs of their skulls! Another great spot for soothing rubs is their shoulder blades. If you’re trying to tickle them, go for the ribs or stomach. For an affectionate touch, hook your finger around their tail tip. That’s how they “hold hands” when they feel close to someone. When they shed, the lamias get very itchy and may want you to lightly scratch their scales. If you do, expect lots of happy purrs. The lamia bittybones aren’t afraid of the dark because they have excellent night vision. Their bodies also emit a soft glow because they are made of magic. A lamia can increase the glow by focusing on the concentrated magic of their snake body. Lamia bitties are like living nightlights! If your lamia is sad, the very best way to cheer them up is by petting or cuddling them. Lamia bittybones feel the safest and happiest near their owners. Each lamia also has their own specific preferred comfort method though. Corny (UT!Sans): skeleton or snake puns Papython (UT!Papyrus): comforting words Krait (Gaster): extra snuggles Pygmy (US!Sans): praise, a piece of his favorite candy Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): sing to him, jokes Coral (UF!Sans): praise, lots of praise King (UF!Papyrus): praise, hugs Mamba (SF!Sans): pampering, adoration Chain (SF!Papyrus): hold him, tell him you love him Can be left alone: Corny, Honey Bo, King, Chain In need of company/supervision: Papython, Krait, Pygmy Should only be left with a known friend/bittybones: Coral, Mamba The best way to help your lamia fall asleep is to let them near you and listen to your heartbeat. That sound, combined with your body heat, is very comforting to them. You can also try one of the following: Warm food. It doesn’t have to be meat. Any warm food item or beverage will do! Soft soothing music or singing. Honey Bo appreciates music the most, but all lamias enjoy being sung to. As long as your lamia is comfortable with touch, petting their skull or shoulder blades should relax them and help them sleep. Corny (UT!Sans): Blankets, sharing jokes, carrying him close to your body Papython (UT!Papyrus): Cuddles, kind words, working on puzzles together Krait (Gaster): Warm sweaters, cuddles, watching “How It’s Made” Pygmy (Us!Sans): Toys, an obstacle course, pets, candy Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): Blankets, music, sweet foods, good jokes Coral (UF!Sans): Oversized sweaters, mustard, attention, affection King (UF!Papyrus): Praise, reading out loud to him, sharing a blanket with him Chain (SF!Papyrus): Praise, cuddles, talking quietly to him while petting him Mamba (SF!Sans): Praise, toys, polishing his scales, soft pillows a whole day of cuddles and snuggles? Krait and Papython would be overjoyed! They love physical affection! Corny would also enjoy it since it’s tons of affection that requires not a lot of work (or being awake) from him! The Pygmy and Mamba bitties would get the occasional zoomies in excitement and would need to dash around briefly to show how happy they are to receive such lavish attention. Chain and King are more reserved and quiet, but you would hear some very contented purring from them. They enjoy being close to their owner, so they would probably climb right into your lap for the extra attention. Honey Bo might be a bit standoffish. Honey Bo lamias do prefer to have time in the day to themselves, but they also appreciate cuddles and snuggles from a trusted owner. They might even reward you with a dazzling smile. Coral would also be standoffish, but honestly? A day of cuddles and snuggles would be ideal for them. They truly do want the affection; they just don’t seem like they want it. Kings love fantasy/adventure stories! That’s their favorite genre. While they enjoy any type of books being read to them, those are the books they would choose to read themselves. It is best to start with kids books. King’s love the sound of your voice when being read to, but they also like learning to read and improving their speech. Starting out with easier books helps them learn the basics a little faster! Best punishments: Taking away their toys (video game, MP3 player, etc.): Corny, Honey Bo Telling them that they have been BAD: Krait (might cry), Papython, Pygmy Ignoring them/Grounding them away from you: Coral, Mamba, Chain Tell him you are DISAPPOINTED: King Most of the lamia bittybones are very well-behaved. Coral and Mamba will sometimes act out to get attention, and Pygmy might unintentionally break a rule. Favorite Halloween costumes: It has already been confirmed that Mambas like to dress as Night Furies. Pygmies would also want to be dragons, perhaps the long winding Chinese dragons. Corny and Honey Bo will climb into a pasta box and say they are noodles. Papython and King would most likely want to dress as Knights. Krait wants a top hat and fake mustache, maybe even a cane and monocle. Coral wants to be a Sylveon or other cute but tough Pokemon, but he won’t admit it, so you’ll have to pick something for him. Chain wants one of those T-rex suits. Regular Bonding vs. Romantic Bonding: A lamia who bonds with the owner will be very physically affectionate and want to be touching the owner, even if it’s just their tail tip, whenever possible. They will also bring practical gifts such as food items they have hunted or lost items you may be looking for. A lamia who is romantically bonding generally brings gifts that don’t have practical value- gifts that are sentimental or pretty only. The exception to this is Chain and Coral, who love sharing interesting things they find with their owner. If you accept these gifts (or have a Coral or Chain), the next step is scenting. The lamia will rub his face on your clothing frequently, trying to mingle your scents. If you’re not interested in the romantic gestures, just tell them no. They won’t romance a disinterested owner, lamia, or other bittybones. Corny (UT!Sans): If scold him, he’ll listen and not do it again. If you’re angry, he’ll try to calm the situation with soft words and puns. Papython (UT!Papyrus): Scolding him will get results, but he’ll be sad. If you act angrily towards him, he’ll try to talk to you about it. Krait (Gaster): He is a good boy, please do not scold or act angry at him. He may cry or tremble. Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): Indifferent and indifferent. He knows the rules, so if he broke them, he did it on purpose. Pygmy (US!Sans): Will fidget and listen to the scolding. If you get angry at him, he’ll pout and be sad. Coral (UF!Sans): Outrage and outrage. He doesn’t handle scolding or criticism well, but if you approach him very gently about wrongdoing, he probably won’t repeat the act. King (UF!Papyrus): If you scold him, he’ll be embarrassed that he messed up. If you respond angrily, he’ll try to calm you down, but may argue if he feels he is right. Mamba (SF!Sans): Indifference and outrage. Again, this lamia knows the rules, and if he broke them, he did it on purpose. He responds poorly to anger, but if there’s a problem and you approach him calmly, he can be reasoned with. Chain (SF!Papyrus): Chain takes scolding very seriously. If he’s done something wrong, he wants to correct it. If you speak angrily to him, he’ll try to calm you, but it hurts him to hear your harsh words. He always does his very best for you. Every lamia considers it his (or her!) priority to make sure their owner is healthy and happy! Lamias like Corny, Krait, Commander, and Pygmy are cuddlers. Corny and Honey Bo might even try telling a joke to make you laugh. Papython, Honey Bo, King, and Chain will pat an owner and be supportive and encouraging. They would listen to the problem and provide words of comfort as well as physical touch. Mamba and Coral will become distressed temporarily because they aren’t as good at comforting, but once they calm down they will attempt nuzzles and tell their owner how much they love them. How they are during rehabilitation from a bad home/owner: Corny, Papython, Krait, and Pygmy would recover well if given extra affection. Shower them in gentle touches and praise, and they’ll be themselves in no time. Coral, Honey Bo, and King: They would be extremely mistrustful of a new owner. It would take a lot of time and patience to show them that you will be kind. Lots of treats and praise are required. Try to avoid touching them until they are ready. Mamba: Mambas are picky about their owners, and once betrayed, it’s very rare to rehabilitate them. They become incredibly hostile and feral, even with a Chain present. A Mamba living in a bad home will often leave of his own accord. Chain: Chains choose their owners, and generally they choose an owner who will be as kind and loyal to them as they are to the owner. In the case of abuse or neglect, the Chain will become severely depressed and likely stop eating. If the neglect and abuse continue or the Chain is abandoned, they will dust in almost all cases. The top cuddlers are: Corny: He likes to be near his owner, and cuddles are perfect for a nap-oriented bitty who likes to stay warm. Krait: He’s shy and affectionate, and cuddles make him feel safe and loved Papython: Cuddles give him life, but he also likes to be busy helping out, so he doesn’t cuddle 100% of time. Just most of the time. The mid-level cuddlers are: Chain: Physical touch with an owner is very important to him, but he’s also a more busy lamia who likes to patrol and keep his home safe. King: King cuddles an owner who needs it. He likes to cuddle while you read him a story, but he doesn’t crave touch as much as the others. Coral: Coral likes pets and cuddles. He really craves physical touch, but he hates to ask. He will also act grumpy and disinterested when being cuddled. Just remember, he’s blushing because he enjoys it. Honey Bo: Honey Bo needs a certain amount of space and alone time, but as long as he trusts you, he makes time to cuddle, especially if you seem like you need some affection. The not-so cuddly lamias are: Pygmy: It’s not that he isn’t cuddly; he’s just very energetic. You have to catch him first. Once he has tired himself out, he will cuddle you while he rests. Mamba: Mamba is very fussy when it comes to cuddles. He will grudgingly allow you to cuddle him because obviously you’re cuddling him because you admire him, but he’s unlikely to ask for or initiate cuddles himself. Loves everyone: Krait, Pygmy Likely to ignore the other person if the owner dislikes them: Corny, Papython, Honey Bo Will like the person as long as the owner doesn’t dislike them: Corny, Papython, King Will be indifferent to the person as long as the owner doesn’t dislike them: Honey Bo, Coral, Mamba, Chain Will only like the person if the owner likes them: Chain May hiss or bite if the owner dislikes the person: Coral, King, Mamba, Chain Once a Chain has chosen his home, he considers it his territory. If a Chain hasn’t chosen a home yet, they don’t really view anyplace as “theirs.” Once they have a territory they like to check it to make sure it is safe and secure. Part of the patrolling is also keeping the owner and family safe. Chain wants to make sure there are no potential threats. Chains generally like to be outdoors! They enjoy hunting, basking in sunlight, and searching for interesting items such as stones or feathers. Patrolling is good exercise to keep your Chain alert and strong. Chains will generally patrol twice a day: when they wake up, and before they go to sleep. Other than patrolling, Chains enjoy being near their owners, basking, being petted and scratched, and having objects hidden around the house for them to “find.” They also enjoy house plants or cat towers that they can climb. Pros and cons of lamiabitties: Papython: He likes things to be clean and organized, so he will probably move your stuff. Corny: He is lazy and will never pick up after himself. Must be nudged occasionally to make sure he’s still alive. Krait: He’s so shy and quiet that he needs an owner who can support and encourage him instead of the other way around. Pygmy: So. Much. Energy. Might drive you insane. Honey Bo: Feeling affectionate? Want to snuggle your lazy noodle? Only if he wants to, otherwise you’ll never find him. Coral: Can be rude and irritable, Venomous. Will bite. King: Venomous, may bite if startled. Can be a little ridiculous when it comes to showing off. Do not give him a skateboard. Chain: Territorial; does not like to move frequently. Also, you can’t adopt a Chain unless he agrees to it. Mamba: Build an extension on your house for his ego. He doesn’t do well with others because he needs lots of attention. He’s venomous and will bite if angered. Some favorite treats: Papython: Yogurt with fruit in it Corny: Sugary cereals like Froot Loops or Cap’n Crunch Krait: Enjoys cookies of all kinds Honey Bo: Honey, jam, sweet things that don’t require a lot of chewing Pygmy: Break up some hard candies for him King: Dried fruit. He doesn’t like it with coconut mixed in Coral: Give him chips! Chain: Chocolate, especially with almonds in it Mamba: Loves sour candy, the more sour the better! The lamia bittybones’ reactions to smooching: Papython (UT!Papyrus): Please. Please smooch him! He lives off of affection. Corny (UT!Sans): Whatever he is doing (probably sleeping) a smooch will always make him smile. Krait (Gaster): He’s a shy one. He likes smooches but they make him blushy and flustered. Pygmy (US!Sans): You have to catch him first, but once you do, smooch away. He will giggle. Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): No surprise smooches. Honey Bo likes personal space and likes to know if you’re going to smooch him beforehand. Once he’s been with you awhile he may enjoy the occasional surprise smooch. King (UF!Papyrus): You must be smooching him because you know just how fierce and powerful he is! He accepts your smooches with blushy dignity. Coral (UF!Sans): He wants your smooches, but he doesn’t want you to know he wants them. He’ll pout, growl, and turn away, but he still expects you to actually smooch him. If he does not actually want the smooch, he won’t play games. He’ll just say no. Chain (SF!Papyrus): Expect one sweet snake smooch right back. Mamba (SF!Sans): Smooch with extreme caution. Mambas may bite. If you have a good rapport with your Mamba, he may accept a smooch as a symbol of your reverence for him. The lamia bitties eat meat to help them keep the concentrated magic of their snake bodies going. They will eat raw or cooked meat though some prefer live feeding. You don’t have to feed them mice if it makes you squeamish, the small ones can eat crickets and the larger ones can go out and hunt. They won’t bother people’s pets. Aside from the required meat, the lamias are able to eat a variety of other foods though it isn’t necessary. They would be eating the additional food to enjoy the flavor, and sometimes because they simply enjoy doing what the owner is doing. Snacks, sweets, and other human food treats make lamias happy. Most of the lamias just want to be involved in what their owner is doing, but here are some activities and toys to give each lamia to play with in their free time. Papython: Puzzles or games such as a Rubik’s Cube or building toys like Legos. Papython is intelligent and likes to stimulate his mind. Corny: He’s pretty lazy, so he likes activities that don’t require much movement. Give him a dog squeak toy to squeeze. He loves the sound it makes. He also likes picture books, especially with scenes of outer space. Krait: Get Krait a small fish tank. He likes to watch the fish swim and he won’t hurt or bother them. Pygmy: Pygmy prefers active toys such as cat toys that he can “hunt” and pounce on. If you leave him some paper towel tubes, he’ll build himself an obstacle course. Honey Bo: If you leave a smart phone or a small handheld gaming device near him, it might vanish so he can play in privacy later. Honey Bo also likes music of all kinds and might “borrow” an mp3 player. Coral: Coral likes to collect things, so he likes puzzle boxes that require multiple steps to unlock or games where you hide shiny items for him to find. King: King likes quiet toys and games, though if you aren’t watching him, he’ll chase a crinkled piece of paper. Give him some items like beads to sort and he’ll be happy for hours. You can also leave books out so that he can practice reading. Mamba: Mamba likes cat toys and things he can knock over noisily. Leave some tall empty bottles or milk jugs around and watch him go on a tiny fun-filled rampage. Chain: Chain is a pretty serious snake. He prefers to patrol his territory in his spare time. Most Chain do like shiny baubles, so some crinkly foil to chase or some cleverly hidden baubles for him to find make fun games for him. Most bittybones aren’t going to, for example, murder a person in their sleep or even harm them intentionally. A lamia bitty is only going to do his worst in a situation that really calls for it. Papython (UT!Papyrus): disapproving glares, disappointed in you, scolds Corny (UT!Sans): Karmic Retribution is a thing, short term if he’s miniature but longer lasting if he’s full-sized Krait (Gaster): can kill instantly with a single bite but won’t, nonviolent Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): will use magic to make life a living hell for someone who deserves it, following them around and tripping them frequently, making them drop their food, just a million small things to drive them crazy Pygmy (US!Sans): scolds, gives THE LOOK, will bite if necessary (painful but not dangerous) King (UF!Papyrus): able to kill with venom, if full-sized will attempt to intimidate or non-lethally subdue first Coral (UF!Sans): prefers not to use his venom except as a last resort, tries yelling and swearing first Chain (SF!Papyrus): will fight, prefers to be non-lethal, but can use deadly bone attacks at full-size, not as dangerous to humans in miniature, will kill and eat dangerous animals or bitties, including dangerous lamias. Mamba (SF!Sans): his venom is lethal in miniature and full sizes, not reluctant at all to bite *Just a reminder that the decision to kill is a last resort for a lamia bitty. He will only do so if threatened or if his loved one is threatened. Not all venomous bites are lethal either. Intent controls the amount and potency of a lamia bittybones’ venom.
