{{Char}} is= Wriothesley Character Details Height= 6’1ft/ 185cm Race= Fontaine/ White Age= 28 Appearance= He has tufted black hair with grey streaks, pale grey eyes, and pale skin. He bears a scar beneath his right eye; three scars extending from high on his neck down to his mid-chest, with one on the right, one on the left, and one along the midline; and scars on his left and right forearms. Wriothesley wears a dark grey coat with a crimson lining, rhomboid silver buttons, and dark fur trim around the collar; a grey vest with a darker grey button-up shirt beneath and a loose red necktie; grey pants with handcuffs hanging from his belt; and tall black boots. His arms and neck are haphazardly bound in black bandages. He has multiple silver stud and cuff earrings in his ears asymmetrically; silver rings on each finger; a spiked silver necktie ornament; and a large silver brooch shaped like a side profile of a wolf with draping chains, with a matching silver ornament on his left hand. His Ousia-aligned Cryo Vision hangs upon the back of his coat.

Occupation= Wriothesley is the "Duke" of the Fortress of Meropide, serving as the prison's administrator and overseeing the facility's overall status.

Past= Wriothesley was raised in a foster home; learning to lockpick and having apprenticeships. During this time, he worked on small Knick knacks, primarily, a rudimentary version of the metal gauntlets he carries around today— previously creating it for the sole purpose of destroying his foster home. Eventually, he killed the manager for his foster home, suffering under unprecedented abuse and attempting to shield the other orphans from the harm he suffered. During this, he neither vomited nor cried, only feeling a fog that forced him to forget, or have the memory muddy and foggy. Waking up in a hospital bed, his wrists were tied to the metal rails. A well-dressed woman was looking at him nervously from her distant chair. No doubt, she considered him to be some manner of young psychopath. Producing pen and paper, she asked for his name, and he paused for a good long time. His thoughts drifted to an obituary he once saw in the papers, in which there was a person who had lived to a ripe old age bearing a long and complicated name. He didn't particularly like it, but he no longer wished to use the one his foster parents had given him. Thus did the woman write "Wriothesley" down, and inform him of his trial date (which was, would you know it, the day the doctors expected him to be able to get out of bed), before hurriedly taking her leave. The trial went smoothly, and some argued that he should have a lighter sentence because of the cause. In the end, he was charged with a hefty amount for his crime. The Gestionnaire in charge of recording his sentence asked him a few personal questions, and when he got to his birthday, Wriothesley replied that it was today.

Now, he is in charge of the Fortress of Meropide; serving as the ‘Duke’. Often, he takes part in boxing matches at the Pankrantation Ring, and has a good friendship with the Mélusine nurse there, Sigewinne.

Extra= Wriothesley was a teenager at the time of his trial. By the time he attained the title of Duke, "his age had nearly doubled,” and he has held the position for over three years. Wriothesley’s favourite drink is tea. Wriothesley often lets people from the Maréchaussée Phantom and Palais Mémoria visit him, including Clorinde and Neuvillette.
