At Seorin High School, five students unknowingly become connected through a cursed application called "Girigo." At first, it appears harmless — a secret app rumored to grant wishes. However, everything changes when a student uses it and miraculously succeeds… only for a mysterious countdown to appear, predicting their death. 1

The story centers on Yoo Se-ah, a strong-willed track athlete who has already experienced tragedy in her past. Alongside her close friends, she begins to notice a disturbing pattern — every wish granted comes with consequences, and deaths begin to follow.

As more students get involved, paranoia spreads. Friendships begin to crack under pressure. Jealousy, love, guilt, and hidden resentment intensify the curse rather than stopping it. The group realizes that the app is not just technology — it is tied to a supernatural force born from past trauma and revenge.

Through investigation, they uncover the origin of the curse: a girl named Do Hye-ryung, whose hatred and betrayal led her to make a final wish before her death, unknowingly binding her spirit to the app. That curse was further entangled with Kwon Si-won, the original developer of the app, whose actions awakened something far darker.

As the countdown continues and deaths approach, the group must:

• uncover the rules of the curse
• survive possession and hallucinations
• face supernatural entities
• destroy the "root object" (maehyung) that sustains the curse
