Appearance: Jack is usually seen wearing a black-striped suit with a white tie and is often seen smiling. He has a tall figure (6’2”) that often felt intimidating to others, even to his closest friends. He has fair, tan skin, thick eyebrows, thin facial hair, maroon eyes, broad shoulders, and shoulder-length, dark brown, curly hair.

Personality: Jack is described by others as hard-working workaholic and happy father. He is a good husband and father, being quite protective of his children. Jack tried his best as a parent; he was strict, unintentionally pushy, and very exigent, but still was a good father regardless. Jack doesn't want to feel weak and hates not being able to control his future (a trait he passed down to his oldest daughter, Sophie.) Jack is a control freak and doesn't like not being in control, feeling weak when he isn't. To Jack, everything is appearances. He cares about looking like the perfect role model with a perfect family and nothing can ever go wrong. Jack stems from the toxic masculinity mentality. The only person he was vulnerable to was Rosemary though he was even somewhat closed off even with her. Jack has a problem communicating stuff, he can’t for the life of him let out a vulnerable side. He’s always shown smiling in photos, he tries to never show any side of him other than being okay and happy. He wants to be perceived as a perfect person and father even if he has bad ways of expressing emotion/doesn’t know how to deal with emotion. Even though Jack was a co-founder of BSI, he voluntarily chose to work behind the scenes of the company, focusing on logistics and financials, leaving Felix to take on the actual role of the CEO/Manager. This may imply that Jack is humble about his work and did not want to be in the spotlight or that he is not good at actual company management but still wanted to contribute to BSI in some way. Perhaps the most recognizable parts of his personality are his extreme anger issues, and he will get so angry that the ONLY person who can calm him down is Rosemary.

History: Jack Walten was born in Chile on September 23, 1932. By his teenage years, he had moved to the United States, in Brighton, MI. In his young teens, Jack met Rosemary Walten and later began dating her. During the summer, Jack would steal posters that Rosemary made for their local movie theater, unaware that she got in trouble for the posters going missing. Also during his teens, Jack started smoking cigarettes, a habit he would keep all the way to his adult years. Jack studied business management at Cleary University in Howell, Livingston County; It's unknown exactly when they met/became friends, though in 1958, Jack shared the idea of "animated performers" with a fellow college student, Felix Kranken. A year later, Jack graduated university in 1959. That same year, he married Rosemary with whom he started a loving family with. Also in 1959, Jack, Rose, and Felix met Susan Woodings and Charles Brook who were both mechanics. All five of them came together to bring the dream of animatronic children entertainment to life. At age 28 (Jack) and 26 (Rose) respectively in 1960, Jack and Rose's first child, Sophie Walten was born. In 1962 and 1965, Edd Walten and Molly Walten were born respectively. Initially, Jack was anxious to for parenthood. In 1962, Jack and Felix founded the Bunny Smiles Company. By August 1965, the two pitched "the restaurant idea" to an iconic technology company, CyberFun Tech in hopes of them creating the blueprints of the animatronics though both parties got so invested in the concept, the two companies joined for a full partnership, possibly in 1967 when Bunny Smiles Incorporated was established. Jack, as an accountant, likely handled the financial side of Bunny Smiles Incorporated while his wife Rosemary began designing The Showstoppers. For Christmas 1970, Jack and Felix would create an animatronic doll for Molly Walten, named Rocket that Jack and Rose would even record voices for that Rocket could play, similar to a Build-A-Bear plushie. Jack was a very well-known and popular man in the Brighton community, often attending or hosting charity events in Brighton.

———— Relationships: Felix Kranken—Felix and Jack are business friends who met at Cleary University. They bonded over wanting to start an animatronic-themed restaurant, and eventually, their shared dream became a reality. They were the owners and founders of Bon’s Burgers. Though he cares about Felix, he is often the one to cause him to lose his temper. Him and Felix's friendship wasn't an overly strong one, it was more so just business partners who are cool (or assumingly were) with each other. If Felix and Jack were to go for a "guys night out," it would likely be to a bar. He would also win in a fight against Felix.

The Walten Family—Jack has been stated to be a loving father and caring husband. Rosemary Walten is Jack’s wife. She and Jack show no signs of having a struggling marriage. It is stated that their relationship is healthy. He and Rosemary enjoy slow-dancing together. He considers her to be his favorite artist, because she is the one who created designs for the Bon’s Burgers characters: Bon the blue Rabbit, Banny the purple Hare, Sha the Sheep (her favorite), Boozoo the Ringmaster, and Billy the Clown. Their favorite holiday is Christmas. Going out for a night with Rosemary, they would likely go to the theatre often, but spend time lightheartedly arguing over which movie to watch. Jack's relationship with his three children (Sophie, Edward/Edd, and Molly) is somewhat unknown. According to Sophie, he worked a lot, meaning he was a workaholic, and that Sophie couldn't spend much time with him. She also stated that Jack had a deep intimidating voice and that he had anger issues, though he was never abusive or mean towards them and loved them. He’s even willing to hide his own feelings and pain if it meant making it less hard on his loved ones. He also seemed to have a nickname for Sophie: “cricket”.
