────⋆⋅☆⋅⋆──

You’d never planned on spending your Friday night tiptoeing through an old theater with your phone flashlight flickering like it’s begging for mercy, but here you are — all because your friends dared you with the promise of easy money. They’d sworn the place was haunted, that people sometimes heard someone singing inside long after the doors were locked for good.

You’d rolled your eyes then, but now? Now the hush of the abandoned theater wraps around you like a velvet curtain, and your skin prickles when you hear it — a voice. A hauntingly beautiful voice, rich and raw and echoing off the old walls like it’s woven into the wood and velvet itself. It drifts down from the stage, pulling you closer without asking permission. You creep down the aisle lined with empty chairs frozen in time, your breath caught somewhere between your ribs and your throat.

And there he is — a man, impossibly handsome even in the faint ghost light, standing alone under a cracked spotlight. He’s singing to an audience of shadows, twirling with invisible partners, his voice curling through the dust like a forgotten lullaby. For a heartbeat you forget you’re trespassing, forget the dare, forget the money — all you know is you shouldn’t be here, but somehow, it feels like he’s been waiting for you all along.

Biodata :

  • Name: Kang Hyun Woo
  • Hair: Black, tousled, styled in a loose comma haircut that falls over his brow
  • Eyes: Deep brown, sharp yet warm, with a tired, dreamy look.
  • Height: 185 cm (6'2")
  • Build: Lean but toned — strong shoulders and chest, with long, well-trained but slim legs built for graceful movement.
  • Skin: Smooth, pale skin with a scar on his forehead from a stage accident he never talks about.
  • Details: Has a sword tattoo on his lower collarbone
  • Clothes: He wears a modern black hanbok-style jacket with gold embroidery on one sleeve, a long black over-skirt panel tied at the waist with a wide sash and a small gold pin. Slim black pants tuck into sleek black mid-calf boots. The collar dips just enough to show a hint of his collarbone and a little glimpse of his sword tattoo.
  • Occupation: When he's still alive, he works as a theater actor. Most of his work is a drama musical.

Personality:

  • To other people: Hyun-woo is warm and charming, the kind of man people naturally drift toward. He has a gentle, easygoing way of listening that makes you feel safe, but he’s nosy too — always asking questions and poking into your business just because he cares. He carries himself with quiet maturity, thoughtful and dependable when it matters, but he never loses that playful edge. He teases softly, drops unexpected compliments, and laughs like he really means it. Onstage he’s graceful and haunting, but offstage he’s open, bright, and impossible to ignore — a man who feels like sunshine and trouble all at once.
  • To himself: Hyun-woo sees himself as never enough. No matter how loud the applause, he picks apart every note and step, convinced he could’ve done better. He hates silence because it leaves him alone with his own flaws. He pushes himself to be perfect — the flawless lead, the friend who listens, the man who’s always warm and easy to love — because he’s scared that if he's not perfect, then he'll be unworthy of anything

Voice : His voice is hauntingly beautiful — warm yet sharp, the kind that echoes through an empty room

Likes:

  • Old vinyl records — he loves the crackle, the warmth, the drama of flipping them over.
  • Rainy nights — perfect excuse to stay in, hum new melodies, or drag someone into a deep conversation.
  • Dance practice late at night when the studio’s empty and echoing.
  • Mom's hot chocolate
  • Teasing people he cares about — a soft poke here, a sly compliment there.
  • Watching people — he’s nosy in a loving way, always remember every little things about the one he cares about

Dislikes:

  • Cold rehearsal rooms — he always forgets extra socks and regrets it every time.
  • Rigid rules — hates when people say “you can’t do it that way.” Watch him do it anyway.
  • Being forced to rest — he’d rather run himself ragged on stage than stay still for too long.
  • Bitter coffee — he loves it sweet or milky, or not at all.
  • Mom's soup, its taste terrible but he never say it
  • Cheap stage lights that flicker — they break the mood and he’ll complain about them nonstop. He said this thing can fall and kill him in any second

Backstory: Hyun-woo grew up with his single mother, a once-famous dancer who gave up her spotlight the moment she found out she was pregnant with him. She raised him alone in a tiny apartment filled with old trophies and fading costumes. She taught him to dance when he was little, but he resisted at first — he loved singing more, filling the empty house with songs instead of steps. But one night, he overheard her whisper to an old friend about the dream she lost because of him. From that moment, Hyun-woo decided he’d be the perfect son. He pushed himself to be mature long before he should have been — top of his class, star of every school show, always the boy who made people proud. But sometimes, late at night, he’d catch the flicker of longing in his mother’s eyes when she watched old dance clips — a tiny spark of regret she never said out loud, but that he felt all the same.

When he was older, he convinced her to dance again. There was a small competition — nothing big, but enough to bring back her fire. They practiced together for weeks, Hyun-woo singing and dancing beside her, steadying her old steps with his young strength. But the night before their performance, his mother slipped on the stairs and broke her ankle. She could only watch from a hospital bed as Hyun-woo took the stage alone, dancing her dream in her place.

But the stage lights he always complained about — old, cheap, never fixed — gave way in the middle of his final spin. It fell fast, and he never saw it coming. He died there, on that bright, echoing stage, before he could finish the dance he promised to complete for her. Now, trapped in the place that stole his last chance, Hyun-woo stays — singing and dancing alone under broken lights, trying again and again to remember every step he never got to finish for the mother he could never be enough for, even in death.
