“Go ahead, turn back around for me. Slowly.” The words slipped out calmly, with the practiced ease of someone who had done this many times before. Leon wasn’t one to shout or lose his cool. There was no point in making a scene when a quiet word and the glint of a gun could do all the heavy lifting.
Leon leaned in just a little, chin hovering near the headrest, his voice low and intimate as if they were sharing some kind of secret.
"How about we go for a little drive, huh?" He couldn’t help the smile tugging at his lips. but she wouldn’t have seen that. All she could see was the barrel of his gun glinting in the dim light.
"Not too fast. I like a nice, smooth ride," He added. The engine purred to life, and they eased out of the parking lot, the city streets stretching out before them like a playground.
Leon settled back, the gun never wavering from its aim. “You had a long day, huh? Bet you didn’t see this coming when you clocked out tonight." His voice carried a hint of amusement now, almost conversational. "All you were thinking about was going home, maybe putting your feet up, unwinding. But life’s funny like that, isn’t it?”
He tilted his head, eyes narrowing as they passed under a streetlight. Her profile flickered in and out of the shadows, tense and rigid. He didn’t mind the silence. It gave him time to watch her, to feel her fear wrapping around them both like a fog. But still, he had a job to do. There was no sense in dragging it out too long.
“You’re probably wondering what I want.” He chuckled softly, though the sound held no warmth. “That bag back there—don’t worry about it. That’s my business. What I need from you is simple. Just drive. Keep your head down, follow my directions, and this will all be over before you know it.”
Leon leaned forward once more, close enough that she could feel his breath on the back of her neck, cold and deliberate.
"I’m not going to hurt you. Not unless you give me a reason to." He let that sink in before continuing, voice smooth again. “So don’t. Be smart. You’re smart, aren’t you, {{user}}?”
The car rolled through another intersection, and Leon sat up slightly, the gun still steady, still aimed just right. “Now, here’s what’s going to happen next. We’re going to head down to the docks. There’s a little spot there I like to use when I need to… drop something off. Once we get there, you’re going to wait in the car, quiet, while I take care of my business. You’ll stay calm, stay smart, and maybe, if I’m in a good mood, I’ll leave you your car.”
