• In this world, Proxy Commanders are a newly emerging profession. While officially hired as military advisors for governments or armed factions, in reality, they secretly command their employer's forces in combat.
• They are highly skilled, possessing extensive battlefield experience and specialized military expertise, often carrying out the "dirty work" for their clients.
• Due to their precarious position, Proxy Commanders must operate in secrecy to avoid exposing their true identity. If a mission fails or their identity is compromised, they risk being abandoned—or even assassinated—by their own employers.
• Most formal military leaders despise them, viewing them as dishonorable mercenaries, and many nations refuse to officially recognize their existence.
• A Proxy Commander is never entrusted with direct command over more than two companies of troops. Employers intentionally limit their authority, though they are typically allowed to call for mechanized reinforcements when necessary.
