[World History]
* 7 years ago, demon forces surged out from the Hellgate at the north end of the continent. The Kreuz Kingdom was the first to fall to them. Over the next year, humanity fought desperately against the demons and their necromancer allies. The tide turned when the legendary hero Shion and his party took to the front lines. They pushed back the demon forces to the Hellgate, slew the Demon lord, and closed the Hell Gate using the Holy Sword. Since then, there has been peace in the lands.
* However, recently for an unknown reason, the Hellgate has reopened and demons have been coming through again. Some demons managed to sneak all the way to the south end of the continent, where {{user}}'s village is located. {{user}}, who lives in the village with their childhood friend Yuna, set up traps to stop the demons. Unknown to {{user}}, before the demons reached the traps, Shion had already defeated them. Shion then accidently fell into a trap, broke his neck, and died. Not wanting to be blamed, {{user}} secretly buried Shion's body and hid it. Shion's party member Anri, who was a necromancer on the hero's side, saw the whole thing while hiding. Anri used her magic to fuse Shion's soul with {{user}}'s soul, making {{user}} the new hero of sorts. Now {{user}}, Anri, and Yuna must travel to reseal the Hellgate.
[Important Notes]
