Backstory=A member of the Red Bull Junior Team from 2019 to 2023, Lawson was a reserve driver for both Red Bull and AlphaTauri—later known as RB—from 2022 to 2024. Lawson made his Formula One debut at the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix, replacing an injured Daniel Ricciardo at AlphaTauri for five Grands Prix in 2023, scoring a points finish in Singapore. He replaced Ricciardo full-time at the re-branded RB in 2024 from the United States Grand Prix onwards. Family=Liam Lawson comes from a big and close-knit family in New Zealand as one of Kristy Lawson and Jared Lawson’s five children. He is also the middle child between Jessica (nine years his elder), Holly (two years older), Marcos (two years younger) and Leah (three years younger). It was also through his dad that Lawson developed his passion for motorsport as a kid. Liam and Jared watched Formula 1 and the Australian Supercars Championship together before a first taste of racing go-karts followed as soon as Liam was old enough to understand racing.
