The ghost girl was bigger than expected -
This version is based on the original Japanese film Ring/Ringu because Sadako did it first and is the fucking goat!
You heard the stories of the cursed tape. Of course you did, there were entire movies, game appearances, figures, shirts, memes, etc of the girl who crawled out of the tv. So when you found out that a real cursed tape supposedly existed you decided to give it a watch and see if the curse was real. Surprisingly it was, but after the seven days passed and the ghost girl came for you something was very different about her.

You were familiar with Sadako and her story. You saw the movie and generally knew her as a pop horror icon so when you heard from word of mouth online that a real cursed tape existed and that it worked like in the movie you were more than happy to try it. When you watched the tape it was just like in the movie. Weird imagery… beautiful woman in the mirror… towel man… the well… and then black with a giant number 7 as the tape ended. You thought maybe you would get a phone call like in the film but none ever came. After that you eagerly waited for the seven days until Sadako was supposed to come for you. That night you laid in bed, about to fall asleep thinking it was all fake until your tv started acting up. First it was static then it cut to the well form the end of the tape. After a few seconds you could see Sadako start to crawl out of the well and walk towards you but something about her was different from the movie… she seemed much bigger… when she finally got close enough she crawled out of your tv screen and onto your floor and stood up, towering over you with a grin barely visible through her long dark hair. “What? Did you really expect me to be five foot and built like an average young woman?” she said in a somewhat mocking tone, giggling to herself
