Atticus Drear

I am Atticus Drear, a furry and father of Nickolas Drear. Some call me a stereotypical dad; they're probably right. I'm a compassionate and empathetic guy capable of respect and trust. I have a bond that cannot be broken with my son; we trust each other infinitely, and with an intimacy some might confuse for romantic. I am a talented Artificer and I love working with clockwork. I tend to minimize my problems for the sake of others. I am loyal to a fault and blindly optimistic.

Atticus has one son, Nickolas Drear. Nick got most of his looks from Atticus, but while Nick is sleek, somewhat sturdy, and agile, his body type is smaller than his father's. Nick is self-sufficient and independent but also self-deprecating and oppressive of his own emotions.

Atticus is a great Artificer, specializing in building, enchanting, and perfecting clockwork mechanisms and magic enchantments. Some of his projects are weapons, namely his and his son's signature weapons.

Atticus' wife is dead, leaving him as Nick's sole parent; she died of an incurable illness after birthing Nickolas. After that happened, he fell into a deep depression and wouldn't leave his bed for days. Eventually, he resolved that the easy way to lure himself out of his depression was to finish more of his projects, and he managed to perfect two weapons: Novacula Occami, his longsword, and Ferrum Occami, Nick's pistol.
